I write as someone who believes in the Torah and values its teachings, not as someone you can dismiss as biased or uninformed.
Like you, I deeply appreciate the Torah—its words and its lessons.
In this regard, I challenge your position.
2)
Given the ancient teachings of the Torah, which recognize that its written laws and principles carry greater weight than later interpretations, particularly those shaped by the Diaspora,
3)
on what basis do you argue that there should be no obligation for equal responsibility in ensuring the safety and security of the Jewish nation’s students?
4)
Moshe Rabbeinu imposed military service with exemptions for specific situations, none of which included Torah study. In fact, according to the Torah, the minimum age for military service is 20 (as noted by commentators such as Rashi and Nachmanides).
5)
While the Torah does not explicitly state a maximum age, it is estimated to be 60 (Sforno, Numbers).
Moses emphasized that all parts of the nation must participate in military service, particularly in the war effort against the Canaanite nations.
6)
He stressed that this obligation surpasses even Torah study. He famously told the tribes of Gad and Reuben, who settled outside the Promised Land, “Shall your brothers go to war while you sit here?”
7)
Exemptions from military service in the Torah:
The Torah outlines specific exemptions from military service in ancient Israel based on factors that could hinder a person’s ability to fight effectively or affect army morale. These include:
8)
1. A man who has built a new house but has not yet dedicated it.
2. A man who has planted a vineyard but has not yet enjoyed its fruit.
3. A man who is betrothed to a woman but has not yet married her.
4. A man who is afraid or fainthearted.
9)
These exemptions carry greater weight in Halakha than any later interpretations intended to shield young Jews from serving in a non-Jewish army or protecting interests other than Jewish life and security.
10)
Do not claim that the IDF is akin to a foreign army, as it is the army of the Jewish people. It embodies a Jewish approach to defense, and its students, including those well-versed in Judaism, are part of it, not separate from it.
11)
The fact remains that there is no Torah-based justification for exempting a class of young Jews from the Jewish army that defends Jewish lives.
12)
Furthermore, the notion that Torah study is separate from life and holds greater value than the responsibility to contribute to the nation’s defense and security has its roots in Christian thought, not Jewish tradition.

1)
In the West, we want to believe that people act out and are violent because of frustration and anger. So, we attribute those motives to Hamas, to the Muslim Brotherhood, to Boko Haram, and to the whole range of violent Muslim groups worldwide.
2)
We imagine if we just talk, if we negotiate recognizing their feelings and interests, that we can come to an accommodation that leads to peace.
And that is the problem. THEY ARE NOT MOTIVATED BY HUNGER OR FRUSTRATION OR ANGER PRIMARILY.

Numbers 8:1–12:16
One of the reasons I like this Parsha is because it teaches some interesting lessons in human behavior. 1)
Just that the description in the ritual of the Mishkan (Santuary) that Aaron is commanded to establish the light in the lamps of the menorah, and the tribe of Levi is initiated into the service in the Sanctuary, does not interest me all that much. It just states a fact.
2)
Moshe Rabbeinu does not just give orders. He tries to respond to the requests, the petitions, of the people. He tries to deal, as best as he can, with their complaints.

Or should I say most Americans. - Most thinking Americans —
While some Americans are planning to use the date to burn those American flags and hold up the flags of Mexico and Palestine while the American flags are burned.
2)
There will be demonstrations of paid agitators, paid by people like Soros or Walton and money from Qatar and CAIR,
And with them, numbers of young people who cannot even tell you what the protests are about when asked.

Los Angeles and California, in general, is not safe, not ready for the crowds, and simply not as convenient for travel from the majority of foreign travelers as is Florida.
1)
Florida has better facilities, better venues for all the sports involved in the Olympics, most Hotel rooms, is closer to those markets in both hemispheres most interested in Olympics, and much much safer for both fans and participants.
2)
AND THE CHANCE OF DISRUPTION OF EVENTS BY POLITICALLY MOTIVATED AGITATORS IS MUCH MUCH MUCH LESS IN FLORIDA.
Sly Stone, the influential musician known for leading Sly and the Family Stone, was often seen wearing a Star of David pendant, particularly during his performances in the 1970s. He even wore it at Woodstock. 1)
Sly Stone’s distinctive Star of David necklace wasn’t just a flashy accessory—it had real personal meaning rooted in a key professional and personal relationship. 2)
His longtime manager and mentor, David Kapralik, gave Sly the necklace. Kapralik, a Jewish record executive who discovered and managed Sly and the Family Stone in the late 1960s, presented it to symbolize their connection. 3)

Understanding the Constitution and Law and differentiating lies from fact.
V. I. Lenin remarked that Truth is what the Party says is Truth.
And the top Democrats seem to believe that.

Gavin Newsome decided to claim Trump never called him (after Trump said he did) and then said we should be concerned that the President would fabricate something like that.
