🚨 VERY URGENT — If you’re in Europe, and you care about human rights, humanity, or Gaza — the next 7 days are critical. 🧵
What you do now can shape whether Europe continues funding a genocide — or finally draws a moral red line. Here’s how 👇
Right now, the EU gives Israel a preferential trade deal — billions in benefits.
But that deal has one condition:
Israel must respect human rights.
That condition has been violated in front of the entire world.
So why is the deal still active?
👇
Because of silence.
Because of cowardice.
Because of a brutal political logic that says:
Palestine can bleed, so long as Europe looks away.
But here’s the twist: one person has the power to change that. And she’s deciding this week. 👇
Her name is @kajakallas.
She’s the EU’s High Representative for Foreign Affairs.
Her office is tasked with reporting on whether Israel has violated the human rights clause in the EU-Israel deal.
The answer is obvious. The evidence is overwhelming.
But…
Kallas is under immense pressure from pro-Israel lobbies, far-right governments, and senior EU officials to dilute the truth.
To ignore genocide.
To legalize lies.
To let Europe pretend it sees nothing — while children starve.
Unless we stop it.
👇
This isn’t a symbolic fight.
If Kallas confirms the violations, the EU will be legally and morally cornered.
It will have to decide:
Do we uphold our trade laws and suspend the deal?
Or:
Do we finally admit that our principles are for show? 👇
This is the closest Europe has come to real accountability in decades.
And it’s all hanging by a thread.
If Kallas feels massive public support for suspending trade deal, she will stand firm.
If she doesn’t — the genocide gets a stamp of approval.
Europeans have the power to decide.
So here’s what’s at stake:
Not just Gaza.
But the future of international law.
The soul of the European project.
And whether the world learns that mass killing is punished — or rewarded. 👇
Edward Said said:
“Every oppressor, however powerful, is a fragile thing.”
What makes it fragile isn’t tanks or treaties — but truth.
And truth is what Kallas is being asked to bury.
We cannot let that happen - even if that’s what @vonderleyen wants.
👇
Now is the time to encourage @kajakallas and her team to report the basic truth.
📢 Post.
📢 Tag.
📢 Email.
📢 Organize.
We’ll drop tools shortly for different initiatives - if you have one share it.
But the strategy is simple: build a wall of truth that she cannot ignore. 👇
Because if this deal is suspended — it will be a crack in the wall of impunity that 🇮🇱 + Netanyahu relies on.
Not just a trade shift.
A global precedent.
One that says: you do not get to bomb refugee camps and then continue with trade deals like nothing happened. 👇
For every family in Gaza.
For every Palestinian baby buried without a name.
For every person who still believes in justice…
Let’s make this week count.
Follow for action steps.
And make your voice impossible to ignore.

🚨 Do you want to put an end to Israel’s brutal bombing of children in Gaza? Do you want Israeli children and families held hostage by Hamas released?
If your answer is yes to both or either one, there’s a way. Probably the only thing these days that the majority of Palestinian and Israeli societies agree on it. But it appears to be blocked by Netanyahu+gov. (Thread)
Today, Avaaz released an official poll conducted in Israel showing 57% of Israelis support a plan where Hamas will release the children and families it holds hostage, in exchange for the Israeli government releasing Palestinian children held in Israeli jails, and creating safe zones and humanitarian access across Gaza managed by the UN.
Imagine that - a respite where instead of bloodshed on TV we get to watch children (Palestinian and Jewish) reuniting with their families, drinking clean water, feeling safe. It would allow for a moment of re-humanization, opening path to ceasefire.
Language is important: Israelis may have been under the illusion that they were protesting for “democracy”, but they were in fact protesting for “liberal ethnocracy”. (Thread).
How so? Over 6 million Palestinians are tried by military judges, who apply military laws, imposed by Israeli military generals.
Palestinians have zero say in any part of the process. Children are regularly abused.
Israeli society supports this with almost zero dissent.
Israelis have no issue governing 6 million people by forceful military means, giving them no control over their movement, rights, even water - as long as this authoritarian rule only targets Palestinians. In fact, almost every Israeli blindly serves in this system of subjugation.

Palestinians traveling home after the Eid holiday are facing massive humiliation & delays.
They are forced to go through Jordan & banned from airports here. Israeli humiliation at each turn.
Another example of the inhumane treatment we face when it comes to basic freedoms. 1/
Biden has “convinced” Israel to start keeping the border open 24 hours, but that doesn’t limit the humiliation we face.
The Israeli government should not be controlling our liberty to travel or to reach our homes. 2/6
Although it shouldn’t matter AT ALL, even Palestinians with American citizenship are forced to go through this harassment & apartheid while other Americans who are not Palestinians can avoid it. De Facto @JoeBiden allows Israel’s apartheid to extend to Americans. 3/6
The Israeli government is a masterful agent of propaganda & disinformation. They weaponize the fog of war to spread false information & sow confusion.
We see this in action now after the murder of @AJENews journalist Shireen.
They have a time tested playbook:
(Thread)
For a case study, look at the case of teenagers Nadim Nowara & Mohammad Salameh.
They were murdered in 2014. It was caught live on camera by @CNN.
IOF said its inquiry indicated that “no live bullets were fired” hinting someone else shot them, but that it will “investigate” 2/
So — Step 1: Lie and build doubt: “It couldn’t have been us…”, “we don’t know what happened”, “Palestinians lie.”
Israeli Gov spokespersons are masters at doing this. We saw it today from PM Bennet. Here is Michael Oren, former IDF spokesperson doing in it teenagers’ case.
Israeli Supreme Court's offer to #SheikhJarrah families can be summarized as: Accept & recognize that our violations of international law and our policies of apartheid are legitimate, and in return we will allow you to stay a bit longer in your homes. 1/2
The actual offer is: Israeli top court presents Palestinian residents of #SheikhJarrah a compromise that involves issuing them with “protected status” & prevent expulsion in the “coming years.”
The catch: They would have to pay a “rent fee” to the settler org Nahalat Shimon. 2/
In most self-respecting courts around the world, the goal is to achieve justice. In Israeli courts, when it comes to Palestinians, the whole aim is to legitimise injustice by any means necessary. 3/
