OK, I’ve seen enough of these smug “but Israel has previously cried wolf about Iran's nuclear weapons ambitions” takes (like @jonstewart does here), so let’s debunk this charge: 🧵 /1
In 2012 @netanyahu’s “Red Line” Un speech warned Iran was within a year of enriching uranium to weapons-grade (≥ 90%). This was followed-up by the joint Israeli-US Stuxnet cyberattack that crippled Natanz centrifuges and Iran’s abilities for years. Real threat. Real response. /2
In 2015 @netanyahu warned Congress that Kerry's hyped nuclear “deal” left the regime with intact facilities, critical restrictions that would be lifted after 8-10 years, and, in time, the ability to "breakout" (time it would take to develop nuclear weapons) in just 1 year. /3
He was right about that too. While Kerry and his counterpart Mohammad Javad Zarif were patting themselves on the back, Mossad successfully pulled off another of its stunning should-be-a-film ops, exfiltrating over 100,000 documents & blueprints, that proved beyond doubt that Iran was pursuing nukes. /4
This is in addition to what we know from official sources. In July 2019, IAEA inspectors found stockpiles were above limits. Then a few months later its heavy water stock was above the limit. In 2021, Iran limited IAEA access to its facilities. /5
In September 2022, the IAEA concluded that it was “not in a position to provide assurance that Iran’s nuclear program is exclusively peaceful.”
In 2023, the IAEA found the regime had a uranium stockpile that was 22 times over the JCPOA limit. /6
2020-now: Based on all this intel (and what we now know is the most incredible level of espionage and infiltration Israel ever achieved in Iran), targeted assassinations of key nuclear weapons programme personnel stymied some of their progress. /7
Despite that, in March 2025, an IAEA report found that the Iranian regime had carried out secret nuclear activities with materials not declared to the agency. They even did this at three facilities that were under IAEA investigation under the JCPOA terms. /8
And just five days ago, the IAEA declared that Iran was "in breach of non-proliferation obligations" (eg. they were trying to build bombs). /9
2025: Operation Am K’Lavi ("A People Like A Lion") airstrikes are targeting all of the regime's nuclear sites, key research facilities, eliminated senior personnel involved in its nuclear programme, including intelligence, and set Iran’s nuclear efforts back years. /10
The Iranian regime wants to incinerate Israel, and is obsessed with obtaining the capabilities to do so. After it kills off the "Little Satan" it will go after the "Great Satan" USA. Those in the West who doubt this, are at best naive fools, at worst... enablers. /11
Israel has long warned of the tyrannical Islamic Republic's goal of pursuing nukes to use against it. Each time, Israel was met with indifference, doubt, or mockery from a Western World seemingly incapable of understanding the threat and hell-bent on its own irrelevance. /12
And I'm only singling out Jon here because he built his whole brand on a reverence for nuance, historical fact, and anti-politically-biased punditry and chicanery. So he should really know better. /13
This lazy casting of doubt on Iran's ardent efforts to obtain nukes to incinerate Israel is being spouted by everyone from the Squad to the America Firsters in the Maga movement. In the EU, such views are almost mainstream. /14
Even though Iran and its proxies have repeatedly been caught planning and carrying terror attacks in our borders, and has been supplying Russia with drones to aid its invasion of Ukraine, the West seems incapable of facing up to this threat. We tolerate this at our peril. /ENDS

NOT ONLY did Jeremy Corbyn share a stage with one of his “brothers” – a convicted Hamas terrorist who murdered 100s of Jews including my 16-year-old cousin Orly, and who has since been heading up their external operations and signing off on statements praising October 7; 🧵
NOT ONLY did Jeremy call the woman who graffitied the Warsaw Ghetto wall with anti-Israel messaging his “very good friend”;
NOT ONLY did he sponsor an event in the House of Commons on HMD entitled “Never again for anyone - Auschwitz to Gaza” with terrorist supporter Haidar Eid who said, “Nazism has won because it has finally managed to Nazify the consciousness of its own victims.”;
A lying propagandist desperate to excuse the inexcusable because in his demented oppressor/oppressed adolescent worldview Israelis can't be victims.
Let's pick this apart one at a time: 🧵
1. Fans from BOTH teams and none were harassed, threatened and assaulted. That includes DUTCH fans for Ajax and DUTCH fans for Maccabi Tel-Aviv. Here's a man who was walking on his own wearing an Ajax scarf being harassed by the thugs.
2. They were attacked because BOTH are associated with being pro-Israel and/or Israeli, Zionist, and Jewish. Ajax fans call themselves "Super Joden" (Super Jews). At the very match, Ajax fans chanted: "En wie niet springt die is geen jood", "Whoever doesn't jump is not a Jew".
Journalist @tonydokoupil interviewed TN Coates about his latest anti-Israel polemic, asked simple questions ("Why not detail anything of the first and the second intifada, the cafe bombings, the bus bombings, the little kids blown to bits?") CBS execs had a crisis meeting. WTF?/1
The kicker? The meeting happened on October 7!
A journalist is being raked over the coals for daring to ask non-softball questions in an interview on the first anniversary of the worst massacre of Jews since the Holocaust. /2
My 16-year-old cousin Orly was murdered by a Hamas suicide bomber while she having lunch with her pregnant sister and mother at an Israeli-Arab run restaurant in Haifa. That's the Second Intifada that millions want to "globalise". Not even worth a mention in Coates' book.
The UK’s biggest export market for arms is Qatar. It is also the 10th largest landowner in the UK and owns at any one point between 10-20% of the London Stock Exchange. Qatar – a veritable slave state – is host to the Hamas leadership. Shame on the UK for enabling this regime.
Between 2019-2023, nearly one-quarter of all UK arms exports went to Qatar. Qatar has played a massive role in supplying Ansar Allah (Houthis) and Al-Islah (Muslim Brotherhood) factions with weapons and resources sowing misery and death in Yemen and disrupting global trade.
Qatar has funded Hamas to the tune of $2 billion over the years and its state propaganda station Al Jazeera has played a major role in whitewashing the terrorist group (including having members of Hamas as ‘reporters’) to Arab and Western audiences.
Why would the terrorist PLO – whose charter declared that the British Mandate territory is "an indivisible territorial unit" (though only claiming Israel and renouncing any claim of West Bank to Jordan, Gaza to Egypt, and Golan Heights to Syria) adopt it as its slogan?
2/
When the terrorist Hamas founder Sheikh Yassin said that "Hamas seeks to liberate Palestine, all of Palestine from the river to the sea and from Al-Naqurah to Rafah in order to raise the banner of God on Earth” – was he really just asking for bilingual ingredient labels?
Most people probably haven’t seen the Roland Joffé film The Mission. They’ll see JC on a cross and make the obvious inferences. But even if we were to be charitable and see this as the film reference, it doesn’t stand up. /1
In the film, it was the indigenous Guaraní who send the Jesuit priest over the waterfall tied to a cross. Who are the Guaraní in this scenario? And is Steve suggesting that Corbyn is a colonising European bringing Christianity to the “heathen” indigenous people? /2
Starmer’s depiction is using a tango trope and Spanish-style sabre pose. So is he supposed to be one of the Spanish Jesuits in the film? The ones who end up fighting to stop Portuguese slavers, siding with the Guaraní, and rebelling against the Treaty of Madrid? /3
