I utterly condemn the reckless attack on Iran by the United States that can only lead to further dangerous conflict in an already volatile region. There is no international legal basis for this unilateral action that poses a serious threat to international peace and security.
Our Prime Minister has shamefully decided to echo the rhetoric of Trump and Netanyahu rather than condemn the indefensible aggression of both Israel and the US. Starmer has further implied that it is justifiable for the Iranian regime to be bombed back to the negotiating table.
I fully recognise the brutal nature of the Iranian regime but this unilateral action is no way to build peace and risks making the UK once again complicit in escalating a Middle East crisis.

With the #COP15 biodiversity summit ongoing in Montreal, I visited the wonderful @RSPBEngland reserve at Minsmere. A pleasure as ever to visit and thanks to Site Manager Nick Forster for showing me round and telling me about the RSPB's great work for nature.
During the visit - in Thérèse Coffey's constituency - I called on the Environment Secretary to reverse the government's attacks on nature which the RSPB, Wildlife Trusts and others have rightly criticised.
I made 3 demands: 1. Publish a clear pathway to meet its commitment to restore 30% of land for nature by 2030 2. Scrap plans to weaken protections for nature in the Retained EU Law Bill 3. Stop dragging its feet on introducing the promised nature-friendly farming payments scheme
I'm delighted to launch my campaign to become MP for the new Waveney Valley seat
The area has had MPs from just one party for too long. With this new constituency there’s an opportunity to elect someone to bring fresh thinking and stand up for local people edp24.co.uk/news/23189625.…
The towns and villages of north Suffolk and south Norfolk share similar issues, caused by complacency on the part of the Conservative government– a failure to allow local people to make their own decisions and a failure to ensure services like buses and GP surgeries are supported
Meanwhile, developers are too often given carte blanche to build houses for the wealthy that local people can't afford while nothing is done to build local services and protect areas from pollution and congestion.
