A year ago, Living Out dropped a secret project - - now they are ready to roll it out.
"For over a year, the Emerging Generations team here at Living Out have been beavering away on a top-secret project..."
That project was Keleidoscope - an explicitly anti-gay kids project...
If you don't know, Living Out is a Christian organisation in the UK which is based on the "celibacy" model of Conversion Therapy Practices, encouraging people to suppress their same-sex attraction in order to follow "God's" design for marriage
They used to be endorsed by Mike Pilavachi, including a quote from him on their website. Mike modelled their celibacy model. They swiftly removed his endorsement after his fall from grace, as they explained to me, they were coincidentally thinning the website at that time
From one of their sessions, the "Parent Take-Home Sheet" states that they openly believe Sane-Sex Relationships to be "outside God's good design". This is what they wish to teach kids in the UK
They use the dubious, "only difference can unite" model. Which implies ONLY gender differences can be united in the Marriage model. No other differences or personality etc can be compared to the model of Godly marriage "unity" or two flesh, only gender difference
They KNOW how painful and abusive this teaching is to share with gay kids, and state in their packet: "This episode will likely to the most emotionally charged once so far."
And also: "If you have openly gay young people in your group, spend some time in advance of the session thinking about how to care for them."
Despite this, I was told that in a recent confidential Zoom which was crashed by a human rights org, Living Out said they are hoping to run (anti-gay/gay suppression) summer camps
I was told: "They are saying that they’ve never had feedback from any Church oppositional to it only those embracing it"
Well, they must live in the most extreme echo chamber?!?
I attempted to enter the zoom, but either my name was recognised or my pronouns in bio (he/him) clued them in and I was banned from entering. Thank god others got in
I was told: "They want to run the sessions in people’s homes over food and with youth leaders" - - this sounds very similar to the Breen/Community/Huddle method of church growth with the smaller and bigger circles. Works well, draws people in with food etc
Allegedly they: "want to canvas and recruit smaller groups of people may be five in a group.
They’ve been doing it as groups of 20 and then breaking down into smaller groups for discussion." And they are going for the YOUNG
"They included year 10’s - 14/15 year olds" - Would you want the celibate/suppressed anti-gay leaders at Living Out teaching your 14/15 year olds?
If I say: Mike Pilavachi, if I say: Iwerne Camps, if I say: Makin Report.........
If i speak i will have spoken...
I'm just saying the PATTERN is sexual repression in Soul Survivor and Iwerne while aiming your teaching at 14/15yo and the outcomes were Not Good, and Living Out are well aware of what occurred in those instances
It sounds like there was some pushback though, which can easily create a persecution complex: "They included ‘ non-Jesus ‘ followers and they occasionally got ‘spikey comments’"
I'm told: "Sin, faith and repentance they talk about in the sessions and talk about turning away from sin and embracing the fullness of the gospel and they do not shy away from sexual sin...
...and they focus on the beauty of the gospel and how Jesus can forgive sexual sins if you turn away from these sins"
As if the Year 10s were not enough that wasn't to go YOUNGER: "They are talking about rolling it out to year 7s and Year 8’s now as the children they said are hearing different narratives from theirs and they want their counter narrative to go further at these impressionable ages
and they’ve built it as a modular process so the schools can select modules and slide it in that way and do their Bible input way and to distill it down for these age groups so they put the foundations in and then go back in once the door is open."
Oh here it is 😂😅😂😅😂 why is it always a GRIFT with the anti-gay crew - - tale as old as time!
"They are asking people to share Gods' good news on faith and sexuality and they are asking people to do bank transfers to them." because, of course they are

I'm back because I want to do a long form here on Mountain of Fire and Miracles and talk about Conversion Therapy Practices not being just a white story with white survivors, white queer culture and Church of England assumptions
I was recently sent this horrific book of Healing and Deliverance Prayers for Gays and Lesbians (@ The Midnight Gate) by Anthony O. Akerele. Also known as:
Homosexuals: People Paying for what They Did Not Buy!
This anti-gay book is published (2011) by Mountain of Fire and Miracles Ministries Virginia. But I've been shown evidence of it being used in the UK as a form on Conversion Therapy Practice in MoFM churches
A very brief history of Megachurch Branding, given by Lizzie, in the LESSER LIGHT, Boxing Day chapters:
"It was branding, wasn’t it? All of it. Morgan needed a theory of Christianity he could brand as his own. Christianity is always being rebranded...
... About every forty years the whole system changes. Did you know, in the early 1900s, there were streams of Christanity laser focused on maintaining white supremacy by any means, and a bunch of proof texts were dragged out of context to ‘protect’ against interracial marriage.”
She made air quotes. “Preachers and politicians greased each others palms with arguments that backed one another up. In America, being antisegregation was considered anti-church...
I'm reading the Makin Report. I'm not planning a detailed live read after the Soul Survivor Report tweets really took it out of me. I will make comment as I go. I'm confident the report speaks for itself, and recommend reading in full and digesting the implications for all
The opening points 1.1-1.12 alone are enough to lead to mass resignations. This Report is truely heartbreaking and I'm on page 2 of over 200.
Calls for an independent organisation, if only one had already been set up and not disbanded by the House of Bishops, hmmmmm
"...the development of a wholly independent body, free from direct influence by senior Church officers..."
When we were last here, we were looking at the nature of the report and the nature of the organisations, and noting the writers had made choices which minimised the Active choices made by Mike Pilavachi, and implied a Passive oopsydaisey things happen approach to Spiritual Abuse.
"He was ebullient, generous-hearted, kind to many, and an inspirational figure. But alongside that, hiding in plain sight, was someone who manipulated and controlled others, bullied and sought to abuse his power over those whom he worked alongside in the church"
"That abuse of power has caused deep psychological harm to many with whom he worked closely over 30 years."
Have you met a Bishop? I have and let me tell you - - -
🧵
dont call me peter - a short narrative by Matthew Drapper, reflecting on his meeting with +Pete.
Quotes are not exact, but recreated from memory.
On Tuesday 11th June, I met +Pete, the Bishop of Sheffield, in a large office building converted from a mill, in Sheffield. I have been in contention with the Bishop for some years now, since making an official complaint back in 2019, about Network Church Sheffield (NCS)
