UNFPA reported 50,000 pregnant women in Gaza in both late-2023 and Dec 2024—equal to about 60,000 annual births, consistent with the historical average. Image from Jan 2025 UNFPA situation report. 3/ Image
And it even increased in 2025 with the latest May 2025 issued UNFPA report showing 55,000 pregnant women in Gaza: 4/ Image

To be clear: Thousands of children have been tragically killed in Gaza, due to Hamas starting a war on 10/7, human shield strategy, refusal to release the hostages & surrender. But recent studies claiming massive casualty undercounts are undermined by WHO's vaccination data. END

Most articles skip any analysis of Gaza war. Instead of evidence they claim Israel’s creation was genocide. Shalhoub Kevorkian writes that “Zionist consciousness” inscribes that “Palestinian bodies should always be in a state of death.” This is not research but a hate piece. 2/ Image
After 18 pages Boulos finally reaches her point: that genocide in Gaza is “inherent in the logic of Zionist settler colonialism” and that of course Israel must be dismantled, with generous doses of Shaw, Bartov, Moses and Segal. It’s dull and repetitive. 3/ Image

🧵"Expert" Raz Segal called Gaza a genocide on Oct 13, 2023 by fabricating intent, and his new piece repeats the deceit. He claims Netanyahu depicted "Palestinians" as Nazis but the source shows he referred only to Hamas. Segal also lies about Herzog’s comments. Detail below: 1/ Image
Raz cites these words by Herzog as genocidal intent: “This war is a war that is not only between Israel and Hamas. It's a war that is intended really, truly, to save Western civilization.” Segal wildly falsifies the meaning of Herzog's Dec 2023 interview, as shown next. 2/ Image
Herzog never said or "admitted" it was "a war that aimed not to defeat Hamas but to destroy a people” or making Gaza "Jewish"—he spoke of evacuating Gazan civilians, defeating Hamas and getting back hostages. See all Herzog's interview comments so the deceit is unmistakable. 3/ Image

A 2023 NPR report on Gaza's water situation revealed the truth, confirmed in other reports. Private & public desal plants are providing Gazans with clean water, as well as Israeli piped water. Investment in Gaza's desal has been going on for well over a decade pre-war. 2/ Image
