True Freedom!

Have you been set free? Have you declared your independence from sin and death through the sacrifice made for you by Jesus Christ?

The greatest freedom granted unto man is not freedom from a tyrannical government, but freedom from sin and death!

Freedom that brings man not merely the temporary liberties of equality, life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness, that only gratifies one in this life, but true freedom that leads one to life eternal in His presence.

Freedom that removes the penalty of our sin that will result in eternal death and damnation, and separation from our Creator in hell!

As Thomas Paine wrote ‘Common Sense’, the Apostle Paul penned these Words framing our need for independence from sin and death around 1721 years previous to Paine’s booklet, which inspired the founding fathers to write the Declaration of Independence!

Romans 6:16-18,20-23
Know ye not, that to whom ye yield yourselves servants to obey, his servants ye are to whom ye obey; whether of sin unto death, or of obedience unto righteousness?

But God be thanked, that ye were the servants of sin, but ye have obeyed from the heart that form of doctrine which was delivered you. Being then made free from sin, ye became the servants of righteousness.

[20] For when ye were the servants of sin, ye were free from righteousness. What fruit had ye then in those things whereof ye are now ashamed? for the end of those things is death.

But now being made free from sin, and become servants to God, ye have your fruit unto holiness, and the end everlasting life. For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our LORD.

Our salvation; our eternal freedom was purchased with a high price; the blood of Jesus Christ! So, no matter our earthly status, whether servant, or free, we are made free in Jesus Christ, and servants only to Him!

1 Corinthians 7:20-23
Let every man abide in the same calling wherein he was called. Art thou called being a servant? care not for it: but if thou mayest be made free, use it rather.

For he that is called in the LORD, being a servant, is the LORD’S freeman: likewise also he that is called, being free, is Christ's servant. Ye are bought with a price; be not ye the servants of men.

We no longer should live as servants to please men, but as servants to please God!

Galatians 1:10
For do I now persuade men, or God? or do I seek to please men? for if I yet pleased men, I should not be the servant of Christ.

Beware! False teachers will lead many away from their freedom in Christ by deception!

2 Peter 2:19-22
While they (false teachers) promise them liberty, they themselves are the servants of corruption: for of whom a man is overcome, of the same is he brought in bondage.

For if after they have escaped the pollutions of the world through the knowledge of the LORD and Saviour Jesus Christ, they are again entangled therein, and overcome, the latter end is worse with them than the beginning.

For it had been better for them not to have known the way of righteousness, than, after they have known it, to turn from the holy commandment delivered unto them.

But it is happened unto them according to the true proverb, The dog is turned to his own vomit again; and the sow that was washed to her wallowing in the mire.

True freedom is only found in following Jesus Christ!

John 8:31-32
Then said Jesus to those Jews which believed on Him, If ye continue in My Word, then are ye My disciples indeed; And ye shall know the Truth, and the Truth shall make you free.

The Truth Jesus spoke of is Himself! He is the Truth!

John 14:6
Jesus saith unto him, I Am the Way, the Truth, and the Life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by Me.

We were all slaves to sin, but can be free indeed in Him!

John 8:33-36
They answered Him, We be Abraham's seed, and were never in bondage to any man: how sayest Thou, Ye shall be made free?

Jesus answered them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, Whosoever committeth sin is the servant of sin.

And the servant abideth not in the house for ever: but the Son abideth ever. If the Son therefore shall make you free, ye shall be free indeed.

Romans 8:2
For the law of the Spirit of Life in Christ Jesus hath made me free from the law of sin and death.

You can receive true freedom today beloved! Declare your dependence on Jesus Christ to free you from your sins!
