On 29 June 2025, the Russians carried out a massive aerial attack on the Kulbakino Air Base and Nikolaev Aircraft Repair Plant. Image
The largest hangar as well as the main workshop at the Nikolaev Aircraft Repair Plant were destroyed. Several other buildings were also damaged. Image

Before the war, and most likely also during it, the hangar was used for overhauls, repairs and modernization of Su-24M and MR aircraft. Image

Almost 5 minutes worth of FPV UAV attacks on Russian Air Force aircraft in several different air bases! No time right now, so I only watch it once, will do a thread later. Some new ones damaged! As far as I can see no new destroyed ones.
I will describe all the attacks in the same order as they were edited into the film. I'm not sure if they were edited chronologically. Timestamps in brackets mark the start and end of recording from a single FPV UAV.
Olenya. 1: Tu-95MS RF-94257 destroyed at 68.145251, 33.449846. At least 3 UAVs used (0:02-0:06, 0:06-0:10, 0:24-0:31), first 2 did not detonate or made a little damage, the 3rd struck the right spot. Moment of the explosion was recorded by another UAV flying nearby (0:31-0:36). Image

Another attacked target is Belaya Air Base, Irkutsk Oblast, Russia.


Two pillars of smoke are rising from the Tu-22M parking area. Likely two Tu-22M bombers were struck, here 52.896441, 103.580821 and possibly here 52.900559, 103.574192 (or in the one of nearby revetments). Maxar satellite imagery taken on 20 September 2024 for better orientation. Image

A Tu-95 was attacked at 52.916314, 103.564649. I think in the last (4th) photo it is the third pillar of smoke from the right. First two on the right are coming out from the mentioned Tu-22M parking area. Image

First of all, today's attacks on multiple Russian air bases were carried out by FPV UAVs. The drones where hidden in the ceilings of cargo containers that were transported on the trucks to the vicinity of the targets. This will go down in history. Image

A thread about two Ukrainian Mi-8s shot down on 5 April 2022. The 1st one was returning with wounded from Azovstal when it was downed several km before reaching friendly territory. Major Horoshko and starshyy leytenant Sindiy were KIA, kapitan Chichura is still missing. Representative photo: Mi-8MT of the Ukrainian Army Aviation.
There were between 9 and 15 wounded soldiers on board, at least 2 were KIA. The 2nd Mi-8 attempted to rescue the survivors but was also shot down while approaching to land near the crash site of the 1st Mi-8.
The crew of the 2nd Mi-8: polkovnyk Voronyi KIA, kapitan Burlakov POW and the navigator Pylypenko MIA. Four person rescue/fire team from the GUR MO was also on board: kapitan Borovytskyi, serzhant Klepikov and molodshyi serzhant Gavrylenko, all KIA, Dobrovolsky MIA.

Very interesting and moving documentary about 🇺🇦Ukrainian Su-25 pilots.
First image of the Su-25 (possibly M1), 11 blue. This aircraft was overhauled and repainted with pixel camo after the outbreak of the full-scale war. Image
