On 9 July 2025, the Russians carried out a massive airstrike on the Ozerne Air Base, Zhytomyr Oblast. Image A lot of heat signatures detected by the NASA FIRMS were located near or over the aircraft revetments in the NW area of the base. In the Maxar high-res sat photo from 27 August 2024, seven Su-27s (possibly some retired) are visible parked in these revetments. Image

Almost 5 minutes worth of FPV UAV attacks on Russian Air Force aircraft in several different air bases! No time right now, so I only watch it once, will do a thread later. Some new ones damaged! As far as I can see no new destroyed ones. I will describe all the attacks in the same order as they were edited into the film. I'm not sure if they were edited chronologically. Timestamps in brackets mark the start and end of recording from a single FPV UAV.

First of all, today's attacks on multiple Russian air bases were carried out by FPV UAVs. The drones where hidden in the ceilings of cargo containers that were transported on the trucks to the vicinity of the targets. This will go down in history. Image

A thread about two Ukrainian Mi-8s shot down on 5 April 2022. The 1st one was returning with wounded from Azovstal when it was downed several km before reaching friendly territory. Major Horoshko and starshyy leytenant Sindiy were KIA, kapitan Chichura is still missing. Representative photo: Mi-8MT of the Ukrainian Army Aviation. There were between 9 and 15 wounded soldiers on board, at least 2 were KIA. The 2nd Mi-8 attempted to rescue the survivors but was also shot down while approaching to land near the crash site of the 1st Mi-8.

Ihor Polishchuk, the mayor of Lutsk, informed today that on 26 August 2024, pidpolkovnyk Oleksiy Mes died while performing a combat mission. He was a MiG-29 pilot from the 204 Tactical Aviation Brigade of the Ukrainian Air Force.

On 1 July 2024, the Russians carried out multiple missile attacks on the Myrhorod Air Base, Poltava Oblast. Two Ukrainian AF Su-27 fighters were completely destroyed, and up to four more were damaged (some likely beyond repair).

Around 10 June 2024, a Ukrainian Air Force Sukhoi Su-27 (likely UB variant) was damaged (possibly beyond repair) in a Russian missile attack on Myrhorod Air Base, Poltava Oblast. It is unclear whether this was an operational or retired airframe.

On 26 May 2024, Russian Armed Forces launched a missile and drone attack on the Starokostiantyniv Air Base, Khmelnytskyi Oblast. The latest Sentinel-2 sat imagery taken on 27 May 2024 show several possible impact spots. Please note that due to overcast, clouds may produce shadows that can easily be confused with burn marks. Remember the Su-34 that crashed (likely due to a friendly fire) in the area of Vorontsivka, Krasnoperekopsky Raion, Crimea on 11 September 2022? There was only one video from afar and some people said it wasn't even a Su-34.

Today, one of the Russian TG channels published six documents regarding aircraft losses, apparently issued in 2022 by military unit A0959, 204th Tactical Aviation Brigade of the Ukrainian Air Force. t.me/hackberegini/2… No. 1: MiG-29, 35 blue (c/n 2960718112). Most likely crashed on 25 February between the villages of Hrushka and Korolivka, Ivano-Frankivsk Oblast.

On 17 October 2023, the Ukrainian Armed Forces carried out an attack on Luhansk Airport, Luhansk Oblast using MGM-140A ATACMS tactical ballistic missiles. This video was recorder most likely on 17 October, not long after the attack. In the Planet Labs imagery taken on 18 October 2023 we can see a dense pattern of small craters left by M74 bomblets from MGM-140A ATACMS missiles. Image

At night, the Ukrainian Armed Forces carried out an attack on Berdiansk Airport, Zaporizhzhia Oblast.
