Steve Jobs once said:

"I'm convinced that about half of what separates successful entrepreneurs from the non-successful ones is pure perseverance."

Here are 7 things that changed my life: Image
1 | Getting comfortable with being uncomfortable

When I first started knocking doors…

I wanted to crawl into my own shell.

But I learned that growth only happens when you're uncomfortable.

If you're not feeling that resistance, you're not pushing hard enough.
2 | Viewing failure as feedback, not defeat

My business partner stole $300k from me.

I lost almost everything I'd worked for.

But that "failure" taught me more about business than any success ever could.

Every setback is just data.
3 | Focusing on systems, not just hustle

Working 80-hour weeks isn't sustainable.

(I learned this the hard way)

The real game-changer was building systems that ran without my constant presence.

Work smart, not just hard.
4 | Surrounding yourself with people who push you forward

The guys who recruited me for pest control saw something in me that I didn't see in myself.

Find people who believe in your potential and aren't afraid to tell you when you're settling for less.
5 | Taking calculated risks

Moving to Cali with $0 was scary (starting my own company was even scarier).

But if there’s one thing I’ve learned…

It’s that playing it safe is the riskiest move of all, because fortune favors the bold.
6 | Never stopping your education

I didn't go to college…

But I never stopped learning.

Every conversation, every mistake, and every ounce of success taught me something.

The moment you think you know everything is the moment you start falling behind.
7 | Remembering your why when things get tough

When I was broke and wanted to quit…

I remembered why I started.

I didn't want to be like my dad, working a 9-5 just to scrape by with an average life.

That vision kept me going.
The truth is…

Most people quit when they’re about to strike gold.

But if you work smart, learn fast, and never give up on the person you're becoming…

You’ll make it.

Zig Ziglar once said:

“You don’t have to be great to start, but you have to start to be great.”

Here are 7 things that changed my life: Image
1. Starting before you feel ready

I had zero sales experience when I moved to California for door-to-door sales.

Didn't know what I was doing.

But I started anyway.

Sometimes you just gotta jump and figure out the parachute on the way down.
2. Learning to love the process, not just the outcome

Those first few weeks knocking doors were brutal.

Getting cursed out…
Doors slammed in my face….

But I learned to find satisfaction in the small wins.

Each "no" got me closer to a "yes."

This book changed my life.

It helped me:

• Escape the employee mindset
• Go from broke to $500k summers
• Build a 7-figure pest control business

Here are my top 8 takeaways: Image
1. People don't buy what you do, they buy why you do it.

Your customers don't care about your process or your tools.

They care about the result and the reason behind it.

Lead with purpose, not features.
2. Your why is your competitive advantage.

Anyone can copy your business model...

But they can't copy your why.

Your personal mission becomes the thing that sets you apart in a crowded market.

I did door-to-door for 12 years…

& it was the greatest teacher I’ve ever had.

Here are the 7 lessons that changed my life forever:
1. Persistence pays better than talent

I wasn't naturally gifted at sales.

I had to get my "nose bloody" and learn the hard way, but I stuck it out when others quit.

Talent might get you started…

But persistence gets you paid.
2. You learn to handle rejection like a pro

My first summer, I had 0 sales experience.

The first couple of weeks were… rough.

Before I even knocked on this one door, some guy runs out and just starts crashing out on me.

But about six or seven doors later, I sold my first account and realized rejection means nothing.

The Guinness Book of World Records named him the greatest salesman of all time:

Joe Girard.

He’s so good at sales…

That he sold 18 cars in ONE day, 174 in his best month, & 1,425 in his best year.

Here are 6 insane facts about the world's greatest salesmen: Image
1.

He sold 13,001 cars in 15 years.

All retail. No fleet sales. No bulk orders.

Every single car was sold one-on-one to regular customers.

Most dealerships don't even sell that many cars as an entire team.

Joe did it alone. Image
2.

He needed his own staff just to handle his paperwork.

Joe was so productive that the dealership had to assign people just to keep up with his sales volume.

While other salespeople were struggling to hit quotas…

Joe was basically running his own business within the dealership.Image

I did door-to-door for 12 years.

You know what it taught me?

Sales are the lifeblood of any business.

10 tricks to help you sell anything:
1. People buy from people they trust

Before you pitch anything…

• Build rapport
• Ask about their day
• Make them laugh a little bit
• Notice something in their house

This makes the sale much easier.
2. Lead with the problem, not the solution

❌ Don't start with:
"I have the best pest control service."

✅ Start with:
"I bet you've been dealing with ants in your kitchen."

When they nod, you've got their attention.
