Breaking up the team Trump has in the DoJ will slow/cripple the many key operations they have underway such as anti-CCP, election integrity, public corruption, swamp draining, human trafficking, deportations, etc.
I think some of the malign operators are seeking to stop one or more of these efforts, but others are simply low integrity grifters who fleece MAGA for views and clicks using a set of high engagement conspiracy theories.

They emotionally manipulate their audiences/followers with fear mongering and outrage bait, feeding them bad information (mis/dis/mal-info) and conspiracy theory propaganda.
They lead their audience to believe they are more “red pilled” or “awake” than others.
They know what’s REALLY going on.
This creates a sense of superiority to others.

They then activate that audience/follower base with more of the same, but add in gate keeping tactics and arguments from incredulity.
This makes reasoned discussions with them impossible.

Efforts to inform them using evidence and facts are useless because they rate their preferred theory above all else. Anything which challenges it must be fake or a devious ploy in some way.
Gradually they are oriented towards extremes because moderate positions seem ridiculous or worse—controlled.

And they passionately defend it as the influencers fleeced them for clicks, views, overpriced metals, and junk medicine.

Once situated in this new matrix of falsehoods, equipped with volumes of bad information a distorted understanding of the world, and all the outrage that comes with it, they can now be weaponized.

In traditional warfare, the outcome of engagements is largely determined by the information available to each side and their ability to adapt and refine their decisions as the engagement unfolds.
The same holds true for information and cognitive warfare, but with the twist of "bad information"—misinformation, disinformation, and malinformation—acting as both a weapon of assault and denial.
