You can take a direct flight to Madurai or Chennai
I booked an Air India Premium Economy from Delhi to Chennai
Metro from Chennai Airport To Egmore Station
From Egmore, there are few overnight direct trains To Rameshwaram
I avoid Cabs for long journey so prefer trains
Otherwise you can take a direct flight to Madurai from Delhi, Mumbai, Bengaluru, Hyderabad etc and take a cab/bus from Madurai to Rameshwaram (this is better option)
Travel should take 3-5 hours only
There are many direct trains available from South Indian cities so that's another good option
Most trains reach Rameshwaram Railway Station early in the morning, don't forget to take the amazing sight of the Pamban Bridge
• Stay 🏨
Rameshwaram is a small city and has a very limited number of good hotels. I booked this Wyt Hotels on Agoda for less than ₹1500
I wanted a place very next to the station to freshen up, keep my belongings and take some rest after darshan.
• Everything About Darshan 🕉️
Agni Theertham.: Begin with a holy dip in the sea at Agni Theertham (around 400 meters from the temple
• 22 Wells : Next, visit the 22 wells within the main Rameshwaram temple complex
You'll need a ticket of ₹25/person for the well bath, and there will be attendants to pour water over you at each well
Important : Leave shoes at the East Gate, enter 22 wells from the North Gate
• Change Clothes: After the baths, change into dry clothes. Wet clothes are not allowed inside the temple.
You can either do this at your hotel by quickly returning or around the temple premises but that's not very hygienic and suitable for everyone
• Temple Timings: The temple is open from 5 AM - 1 PM and then again from 3 PM - 9 PM. You'll get the Darshan if you are inside the temple queue before closing time
• Mani Darshan: If you're interested, there's a Mani Darshan held early morning, where a crystal Mani is shown.
• Darshan of Lord Ramanathaswamy
There's a free entry for everyone
And there are options for special lines, you'll need to take a ticket for ₹100 for a special line or ₹200 for fast darshan.
I took a ₹200 ticket since it offers front row darshan and saves time.

🚨 There's a Lot of Talk About India's E20 Fuel, Which is a Blend of 20% Ethanol and 80% Petrol
Here’s What You Should Know About It 🧵
• Is E20 made from food crops?
No. India’s ethanol comes from a variety of sources, including sugarcane molasses, maize, rice, and wheat.
Over 30% of it is made from waste products, so it doesn’t risk the country’s food or water supply.
• How does it benefit India?
This is a long-term plan for India' growth, not a short-term experiment. It enhances India's energy security, improves air quality, and boosts the economy.
