But the way they are going about it, frankly, never addresses the root underlying causes that got them to where they are at.
So, no wonder they are having dismal results.
And it’s no wonder that they still feel like crap & are frustrated.
There are 4 primary underlying root causes I have seen with patients.
Address these root causes SIMULTANEOUSLY and the weight starts to melt off.
They are amazed when this happens.
I am not surprised because it is simple human physiology.
If you give the body the right environment to function like it was designed to function, it has amazing ability to heal, lose weight, regulate systems, etc.
This means patients:
•Lose Weight
•Get Off Meds
•Have Way More Energy
•And Feel MUCH Better About Themselves
So, let me dive into those 4 main root causes.
1. Gut Dysfunction
The gut is so dynamic.
It not only breaks down food & absorbs it, but it also comprises ~70-80% of your immune system.
It also is considered “the 2nd brain” because the majority of your neurological hormones & neurotransmitters are made in your gut.
In fact, ~90% of serotonin in made in your gut!
It’s the “mood booster” hormone.
It’s also why when people fix their gut dysfunction, they regularly no longer have a need for their antidepressant medications.
And when you fix the gut, your body can actually break down your food, absorb the nutrients, and have the proper fuel to drive your metabolism…which affects SO many aspects of your body…including losing weight.
2. Lower Systemic Inflammation
Systemic means your entire body.
These patients’ bodies are inflamed.
If they have had their CRP ran on bloodwork, it is routinely >1.0.
Your body is supposed to be able to have an inflammatory response to fight off pathogens or repair during injuries.
However, it’s not supposed to be in a perpetual inflamed state.
This is why we have seen an astronomical rise in chronic diseases over the last few decades.
All chronic diseases have a common root underlying issues: systemic inflammation
This has to be addresses if you want to function properly, metabolically.
3. Detox Gently
Notice I wrote “gently”.
So many will do detoxes that are way too harsh on the body.
It actually causes more stress to their system… you don’t want this.
Our bodies have built in detoxification organs:
•Liver
•Kidneys
•Lymphatics
•Skin
Patients in metabolic dysfunction need to optimize these, but not overburden them (which most “detoxes” do).
When we optimize these systems, the body is able to function like it should without the associated diarrhea, headaches, flu-like symptoms, etc. that so many experience with typical detoxes.
4. Primarily Burn Fat Instead of Glucose (Sugar)
All of our bodies use glucose to function.
Blood glucose is commonly referred to as blood sugar.
Those who have metabolic dysfunction & who are dealing with all the things I wrote about above, they are primary glucose burners.
While the body can function and “run” in this manner, it’s not ideal or optimal.
If you want to be “metabolically fit” so you can ditch the weight and the meds, you need to become a primary fat burner.
When I take patients through this process, they can literally feel the difference in ~7-14 days.
Their energy initially takes a dip the first several days, but then their energy begins to soar!
They regularly say, “I haven’t had this much energy in years!”
And the cool thing is, their bodies have not even fully switched over to burning fat as their primary fuel source!
That typically takes 4-6 weeks for most patients.
So, their energy continues to increase & optimize with time.
And this has downstream effects on literally every cell in their body.
Tonya was one of those patients I described above, and I love her transformation!

No matter what she did, the weight would not seem to budge.
