The notion that George Papadopoulos drunkenly repeating what he'd heard on Fox News about a different server months before the DNC hack was the REAL reason to investigate is laughable.

@ByronTau @etuckerAP These "experts" were? Of course he already knew. Steele had also just been in DC having lunch with DOJ high up Bruce Ohr and his wife Nellie. In fact, Crossfire Hurricane itself is a cheeky reference to Steele, via a 1986 comedy about a British Spy on the run from the KGB

@ByronTau @etuckerAP So yes, The investigation was based on the Dossier, the ICA was based on Oleg Smolenkov, and the DNC was likely hacked by kids out for the lulz, like the ones who hacked John Brennan and Colin Powell a year earlier (and gave the emails to WikiLeaks).
