In April, Senate Democrats wrote me a letter requesting an oversight hearing on the DOJ's Civil Rights Division. On Wednesday, they got their wish when I chaired a Senate judiciary hearing where @HarmeetKDhillon testified on "Ending Illegal DEI Discrimination & Preferences" 🧵
Their letter argued that Harmeet Dhillon is "fundamentally transform[ing]" the Civil Rights Division. I agree. Harmeet Dhillon is fundamentally transforming the DOJ Civil Rights Division, and that's exactly what our country needs.
Widespread discrimination plagues our society. Under previous administrations, racial discrimination was permitted to go unchecked — and often actively encouraged — by the DOJ Civil Rights Division through selective enforcement of federal civil rights laws.
The Biden Administration dismissed a case brought against universities for racially discriminating, and also failed to bring any suits challenging discriminatory diversity, equity, and inclusion quotas. The Obama Administration dismissed a case because the victims were white.
That madness stops now. We fulfilled Senate Democrats' request and learned about Ms. Dhillon's successes at the DOJ in fighting racial discrimination. Most Democrat members didn't even bother to show up.
Under the Trump Administration, our nation's civil rights laws are enforced consistently, not selectively. The Trump Administration is fighting DEI-based discrimination and abuse in our universities, in our private companies, and in our Big Law firms.
And it didn't end there. We were also delighted to bring @America1stLegal's President @GeneHamiltonUSA to testify to highlight the important work being done representing private plaintiffs.
As Ms. Dillon put it yesterday, “Either DEI will end on its own, or we will kill it." Now, it's time for Congress to act. I'm fighting to ensure that every citizen's civil rights must be respected, and I call on my colleagues to do the same.

🚨 Today, we are voting Emil Bove out of committee. President Trump nominated Emil Bove to serve on the Third Circuit to check rogue left-wing activists who pervert our rule-of-law.
My Op-Ep in @DC_Reporter lays out my support of Bove. He is a lawman, through and through. 🧵
As a federal prosecutor, he prosecuted the most dangerous criminal conspiracies in the world, including Nicolás Maduro, the socialist dictator of Venezuela, and drug traffickers involved with the notorious “El Chapo.”
Our justice system is politicized at all levels by liberal activists. Bove has fought this politicization for years, both as Trump’s defense lawyer and as Justice Department’s deputy attorney general, removing left-wing DOJ officials who refused to follow the President’s orders.
Joe Biden claims he personally approved every pardon.
But, after his signoff, his staff quietly added violent criminals to the list and ran them through the autopen without telling him.
The autopen scandal just got blown wide open—again.🧵
Here's what happened:
Biden didn't individually approve pardons. Rather, he signed off on criteria to be used in finding violent inmates he wanted to pardon or offer clemency.
Biden's staff then changed the final list and ran it through the autopen.
Biden's pardon abuses were awful. These megalomaniacal staffers made them even worse by expanding the list of murderers and rapists with executive clemency.
Yesterday, another rogue judge tried to undermine the will of the people.
Judge Indira Talwani issued a TRO enjoining portions of the OBBB that defund Planned Parenthood.
Worse, she lied to the Judiciary Committee about how she would rule as a judge. I have the receipts. 🧵
First, Talwani said the most important attribute for a judge is a "deep and sincere" "fairness." Yet, in this case, she unambiguously undermined the integrity of her decision by issuing an unreasoned TRO (an emergency order halting action pending a hearing).
Second, Talwani pledged she would "decide cases solely based on the relevant law and facts." In this case, she cited no law, no facts, and not even any precedent. She acted solely by political ideology.
🚨I just took a first-of-its-kind act on the Biden autopen coverup.
Using my authority as Chairman of the Subcommittee on the Constitution, I have submitted a “special access request” to Archivist Marco Rubio to obtain sealed documents.
It may blow this whole thing open. 🧵
I previewed this action this morning. The Biden mental decline coverup was one of the most damning scandals in U.S. history.
A key priority of mine is to make sure that something like this will never happen again. The only way to do that is to figure out what went wrong and who was running the country. With the requested documents, the subcommittee can begin work on crafting a solution.
The “special access request” is a provision of the Presidential Records Act that authorizes a congressional subcommittee to obtain past presidential records necessary for the conduct of its business, even if those records are not yet available to the general public.
