🚨THE GHOST OF MAYORKAS HAUNTS TRUMP DHS

President Trump has fundamentally revamped immigration enforcement after four years of the open-borders Biden regime. But at least one Biden political appointee remains in a position of authority at DHS😲

🧵1/11 Image
Meet Jeff Rezmovic, deputy ass't commissioner at CBP's Board of Trade.

Sources say he was close to Mayorkas, Biden's DHS secretary whom the House impeached.

Biden named Rezmovic to be Chief Financial Officer for all of DHS.

🧵2/11 dailysignal.com/2025/07/31/jef…Image
"Jeff Rezmovic's history is extraordinarily political for a career employee in DHS," @KenCuccinelli told me. "He would not have been moved to and through the ... positions of the last four years if he wasn't doing the political work of Biden/Mayorkas."

🧵3/11 Image
"The history of of deep state career employees working to undermine President Trump is simply too clear to walk into such a problem when it is avoidable," Cuccinelli, a former DHS leader under Trump, added of Rezmovic's current position.

🧵4/11
When Biden nominated Rezmovic, who served at DHS since 2011, Mayoraks praised him as "a brilliant, selfless, and tireless advocate for our department and its mission, and for the people who carry it forward."

Yet the programs Rezmovic helped lead have faced criticism.

🧵5/11
Rezmovic helped lead the Family Reunification Task Force, which @tedcruz warned allowed illegal aliens to reenter the U.S. in the name of reuniting families.

🧵6/11 Image
Mayorkas praised Rezmovic for expanding the Nonprofit Security Grant Program from $180M to $305M but a @meforum study found that DHS awarded $25M in grants, part of them through this program, to groups tied to terrorists. FEMA has paused the program to review it.

🧵7/11 Image
Zooming out, the House impeached Mayorkas for "willful and systemic refusal to comply with the law" by allowing millions of illegal aliens to enter and remain in the country.

His approach represented something fundamentally different from Trump's enforcement agenda.

🧵8/11
An April poll found that 75% of DC-based federal employees making $75K+ per year who voted for Kamala Harris said they would not follow a lawful Trump order if they considered it bad policy.

The deep state threat was real in Trump 45, and it's real in Trump 47.

🧵9/11
I don't know for certain that Rezmovic would oppose Trump from within the bureaucracy, but he fits the profile of Biden political appointees who remain in the bureaucracy under Trump.

🧵10/11

This is the eighth installment in my series on the Biden political appointees who "burrowed in" to the bureaucracy by taking ostensibly nonpolitical career positions and remain under Trump.

🚨BREAKING

Even though President Trump's budget would defund the National Endowment for Democracy, a House GOP FY 2026 funding bill allocated $315M to it.

@RepEliCrane is leading an effort to do what Trump wanted.

Here's why it's important.

WHAT IS NED?🤔

Like USAID, NED once advanced US interests abroad, but has become a weapon to enforce woke ideology. In recent years, NED board members compared Trump to Hitler and NED funded the Global Disinformation Index, which targeted conservative news outlets.

🧵2/7
“Have we learned nothing from the exposure of USAID over the past six months?” Crane asked me. “The National Endowment for Democracy is a government-backed NGO that has supported censorship programs, regime change politics, and fueled anti-American agendas abroad.”

🚨ERIC HOLDER'S GHOST HAUNTS TRUMP DOJ

Holder was notorious for weaponizing DOJ under Obama: pushing CRT, dropping the Black Panthers election intimidation case, withholding docs from Congress.

Why's his protege at the DOJ under Trump?🤔

🧵1/8

dailysignal.com/2025/07/27/law…Image
Brief reminder:

Holder more or less mainstreamed the idea that voter ID laws are discriminatory, by suing Texas over a voter ID law. The DOJ ultimately settled the case, admitting no "discriminatory effect or intent."

🧵2/8
Holder claimed that policies with "the appearance of being race-neutral" nonetheless "disproportionately disenfranchise African-Americans, Hispanics, other communities of color and vulnerable populations such as the elderly.”

Take a look at this chart.👀

@capitalresearch's Scott Walter presented to @JudiciaryGOP last week, and it inspired me to do some digging.

A @DailySignal analysis found that the feds awarded (under Biden) $1.7B to groups suing the Trump admin—in its first month!

🧵1/12 Image
“Your tax dollars provide critical support for the web of woke groups trying to transform America,” Walter said. “It’s shameless to use your tax dollars to sue your government for even more of your tax dollars. But being woke means never having to say you’re sorry!”

1⃣The Brazilian Worker Center

Sued Trump to block the birthright citizenship executive order.

The Labor Department awarded it $775K for construction job training.

Here's what the center does on immigration.

The Senate refused to re-confirm Jeffrey Baran for the Nuclear Regulatory Commission in 2023, but taxpayers ended up on the hook, anyway.

How?🤔

Here's the story.

🧵1/6 Image
President Biden re-nominated Baran, who had served on the Nuclear Regulatory Commission since 2014, but a pro-nuclear group raised serious concerns about Baran's opposition to policies that enabled nuclear energy.

His renomination bid failed in the Senate.

🧵2/6
No matter. He'd just "burrow in," taking an ostensibly "nonpolitical" role in the federal bureaucracy.

He joined the Department of Energy as deputy asst. sec. for waste & minerals management. Got a pay bump, too.

🚨BURROWING IN

A woman who helped Kamala Harris demonize Brett Kavanaugh in 2018 now works at the Defense Department under President Trump😲

I previously wrote about Samantha Goldstein.

Since my original report, which notes her op-ed claiming that Trump—her current boss—is "unfit to hold office," I learned two crucial things: Goldstein's political donations & what she did w/Harris.

🧵2/10

Goldstein gave more than $12K to Democrats, particularly the Harris campaign and the DNC, last year.

While bureaucrats can, of course, contribute to whichever campaigns they wish, this shows she still opposed Trump after the 2019 op-ed.

Apparently, smearing conservatives really does pay.

The SPLC puts mainstream conservatives on a "hate map" with the KKK, silencing its opponents & scaring donors.

I went through its latest tax filing, which lists accounts in the Cayman Islands👀

🧵1/8

dailysignal.com/2025/07/09/pov…
The SPLC admitted having an account in a foreign country, the Cayman Islands.

The SPLC also listed $30M in offshore accounts in "Central America and the Caribbean."

This may actually be a decrease from $92.6M in "non-U.S. equities" SPLC reported in 2017.👀

🧵2/8 Image

"It's very odd and frankly raises suspicion that a nonprofit organization would have accounts in places like the Cayman Islands, or as they reported $30 million in Central America," @libertycounsel's @MatStaver told me.

Naturally, SPLC refused to answer my questions.
