Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu spoke this evening at length with the families of the hostages Rom Braslavski and Evyatar David.
The Prime Minister expressed profound shock over the materials distributed by the terror organizations Hamas and Palestinian Islamic Jihad
The Prime Minister told the families that the efforts to return all our hostages are ongoing, and will continue constantly and relentlessly.
The PM conveyed, in his wife Sara's name, a great embrace to the families, telling them that she is heartbroken over the unbearable videos
Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu:
"The cruelty of Hamas has no boundaries. While the State of Israel is allowing the entry of humanitarian aid to the residents of Gaza, the terrorists of Hamas are deliberately starving our hostages and document them in a cynical and evil manner.
PM Netanyahu:
"I would like to brief you on what we have done in Syria, and what we are going to do in Syria.
We have set forth a clear policy: demilitarization of the region to south of Damascus, from the Golan Heights and to the Druze Mountain area.
That's rule number one. Rule number two is protecting the brothers of our brothers, the Druze at the Druze Mountain.
Both those rules were broken by the regime in Damascus.
The regime sent troops south of Damascus, into the region that has to be demilitarized, and began slaughtering the Druze. That we could not accept in any way, and I therefore directed the IDF to take action — and take powerful action.
"This is the final day of a historic visit that followed a historic victory in the war against Iran. What has been agreed upon between President Trump and me, on issues pertaining to Gaza, the region and even beyond the region, will be discussed at a later time.
I would like to open this day by sending my deepest condolences, on behalf of my wife and me, to the family of the man who was murdered in Gush Etzion. We have tremendous achievements in the fight against terrorism, in Judea and Samaria and in the broader region
But there are also painful tolls. I would like to give, on your behalf as well, a strong embrace from the bottom of the heart to the family of the man who was murdered. May G-d avenge his death.
Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu met today, at the Kirya in Tel Aviv, with the IDF General Staff Forum, together with Defense Minister Israel Katz and IDF Chief-of-Staff Lt.-Gen. Eyal Zamir.
The Prime Minister commended the major-generals of the IDF for their part in Operation "Rising Lion" in Iran and thanked them for their contribution to ensuring the eternity of Israel.
PM Netanyahu:
"I would like to express immense appreciation and gratitude to you Defense Minister Katz, IDF Chief-of-Staff Zamir and you, the members of the General Staff Forum for perfectly executing that missions that we set. 'A people that rises up as a lion' – and much more.
We removed two existential threats: The threat of annihilation by nuclear weapons and the threat of annihilation by 20,000 ballistic missiles. Had we not acted now, the State of Israel would have soon faced the danger of annihilation.
But this did not happen because at the decisive moment, we rose up and stood like lions, and our roar shook Tehran and echoed around the world.
In the scriptures, it is said: 'By stratagems shall you make war.'
