I'm 39.

When I was young I wasted years being broke, woke, anxious, and depressed.

Then I found Felix Dennis's "11 ideas to get rich" and it literally changed my financial future

This took me 20 years to realize. I'll teach you in 2 minutes: 🧵 Image
Felix Dennis was a badass.

• Sold his publishing business for $240M
• Bought David Bowie's mansion
• Wrote one of the best-selling money books ever

Just before he died he bizarrely became a popular poet too
1. "If you are unwilling to fail, sometimes publicly and even catastrophically, you will never be rich."

If you're worried about whether you look successful, you won't be.

Rejection, failure, and embarrassment lead to enormous wealth.

Nothing worth doing is without risk.
2. “People who grow rich almost always improve their s3x life.

More people want to have s3x with them. That's just the way human beings work.

Money is power. Power is an aphrodisiac. Money did not make me happy. But it definitely improved my s3x life.” – Felix

This is shallow as hell because it's true.

• Money & power are highly desirable human traits

• 90% of life problems can be solved with more money
3. "Whatever qualities the rich may have, they can be acquired by anyone with the tenacity to become rich.”

Being rich takes balls.

It requires you to be high agency + become obsessed with one thing.

That makes you relentless & stops you from giving up when it gets hard.

Hard goals get you hard. Learn to love them.
4. “You will never get rich working for your boss.”

I didn't want to hear this when I had a job. But 90% of wealthy people own businesses.

An employer does the sales & marketing. In return they make all the profit. Instead...

Become an owner.
5. “If it flies, floats, or fornicates, always rent it—it’s cheaper in the long run.”

Owning depreciating assets is overrated.

If you must have them, then acquire them through a business so you can depreciate them.

And write them off on your taxes.
6. "Ideas don’t make you rich. The correct execution of ideas does."

A simple idea in a saturated market will make you more f*cking money than some s*xy new AI app.

Stop fantasizing. Start building boring stuff people are already buying.
7. "The simple rules of talent: Identify It, Hire It, Nurture It, Reward It, Protect It. And when the time comes, Fire It.”

Talent = Leverage.

• Hire people from 3rd world countries to help you
• Build AI agents to remove low-talent work

Then use the extra time to enjoy life.
8. “You have an advantage that neither education nor upbringing can buy – you have almost nothing.

And therefore you have almost nothing to lose.”

Go for broke.

Protecting what you've got is stopping you from getting what you could have.
9. “The first $1 million is the hardest. After that, it’s all a game.”

That's been my experience. Once you have capital it's easier to build leverage.

With leverage you can diversify income streams & de-risk your future.
10. “Many of those who achieve great wealth treat it as a game. The money is just the scorecard.”

Your bank account is just a scoreboard of how many people you’re helping other than yourself.

If your bank balance is low it's a red flag. It's a sign to start being of service, fast.
11. “Getting rich is not a ‘fair’ process. Life isn’t fair. Get over it.”

You can eat the rich or become the rich.

The people who get rich want it and work hard for it. The rest give in to excuses.

And they let fear cripple them.
Final Thought

Felix was one hell of a teacher.

He built his early company to $2.5M while being addicted to crack c0caine.

He died with great memories instead of fantasies, like the rest of society.

His get rich manifesto is still being shared. That's the power of a legacy. Get rich.
The rich build businesses.

Traditional business - broken
Guru business - broken
Royalty business - broken
My digital business - just about perfect

I took Naval Ravikant’s tweet thread "How to Get Rich (without getting lucky)" & made $1.55M with it.

Here’s how:
On May 31st 2018, Naval Ravikant blew up the internet.

He posted a tweet thread that people still can’t get over 5 years later. It’s a tweet thread I re-read weekly.

If you haven’t read it then I insist you do.

After I read this tweet thread at age 32, I implemented the principles in my life.

I estimate they’ve made me approximately $1.55M since doing so.

Use these principles to do the same.
1. "Seek wealth, not money or status.

Wealth is having assets that earn while you sleep. Money is how we transfer time and wealth. Status is your place in the social hierarchy."

Naval’s tweet thread is about getting rich.

But once you go deeper you realize getting rich is a nightmare.

What we’re secretly looking for is wealth.
And wealth equals freedom.

The book "The Psychology of Money" sold 7 million copies.

But 95% of readers are still struggling financially & missed the whole point.

Here are 9 harsh truths you completely overlooked (& still suffer because of it): 🧵 Image
1. "Doing well with money has little to do with how smart you are and a lot to do with how you behave."

• People know how to be wealthy, but they let a lack of discipline and temptations screw them.

• EQ over IQ
2. Wealth is quiet. Rich is loud. Poor is flashy.

That flashy car? Big house? Designer bag?
That’s spending, not wealth.

Wealth is what’s hidden—savings, investments, assets.

A simple funnel leads to a $1M/year business.

But 99% don’t know how to build a funnel.

Here are 6 powerful methods to build a high-converting sales funnel:
1. Core high ticket offer

Start from a single high ticket offer and work backwards from there on the funnel.

All roads should lead to and compliment your high ticket offer.

If you don't know what your core high ticket offer is, you have an unreliable funnel that'll crash & burn
2. The one platform strategy

The gurus preach being on every social media platform. Wrong.

Each platform has a unique culture and voice. The best funnel is built off of one platform you master.

You get that by posting daily on one platform for a year.

Carl Jung once said:

"Thinking is difficult, that’s why most people judge."

Here are 11 things I learned from him: Image
1. “Where your fear is, there is your task”

This is why the work-life balance & self-care movements help people become losers.

Discomfort is where the opportunity is

Find what you fear & look it in the eyes

...otherwise you become mediocre and the rewards are terrible.
How to apply it:

• Figure out what you fear
• Set challenges to face the fear

As you face more fears, your confidence increases

Charles Bukowski's work will change your life forever.

His work takes 100s of hours to read. I've gone through it so you don't have to.

“Find what you love and let it kill you."

I gave up my corporate career to let online writing kill me.

Find the thing you want to kill you. Take the subject you’re crazy about & make it your entire life.

Work on it after hours. Then have this wild task take over your career.
“People are strange: they are constantly angered by trivial things,

But on a major matter like totally wasting their lives, they hardly seem to notice.”

The biggest debate we should have is with ourselves. What the heck are you doing in life?

Stop majoring in minor things.

Keanu Reeves once said:

"I’m at the stage in life where I stay out of arguments. Even if you say 1+1=5, you’re right. Have fun."

Here are 9 things I learned from him: Image
1. “I'm Mickey Mouse. They don't know who's inside the suit.”

– Keanu Reeves
2. “Multi-culture is the real culture of the world — a pure race doesn’t exist.”
