Europeans:

• Use real sugar in everything
• Always drink alcohol with dinner
• Eat white bread and pastries everyday

But are healthier and leaner than Americans.

Why? These 6 common toxic habits that are silently destroying Americans´ health: 🧵
1. Mostly eating ultra-processed food.

The average American gets over 60% of their calories from ultra-processed junk.

Real food is rare.

Microwave meals, seed oils, and drive-thrus dominate.
Meanwhile, Europeans eat real and minimally processed food.

Meals are based on ingredients your grandma would recognize:

• Fresh vegetables
• Cheese from a local farm
• Bread baked that morning
• All without toxic chemicals. Image
2. Having a sedentary lifestyle.

Walking is a part of daily life in Europe.

Walking to the shops, friends´ houses, post-meal strolls.

They don´t have a step-count goal.

But in America, we drive everywhere...

Here´s how to fit more walking into your day:
3. Having huge portion sizes.

American meals are very over-sized.

Sometimes one meal can be an entire day’s worth of calories.

Add in the calories from soda, snacks and dessert...

And you don´t stand a chance. Image
In Europe, smaller portions are the norm.

They prioritize quality over quantity and savoring their food rather than stuffing their faces...

Eating is social. They eat more slowly. There´s no rush.
4. Working long hours.

Americans grind themselves into the ground.

2 weeks of vacation, 60-hour work weeks, emails and Slack on weekends.

Stress hormones go through the roof. Health crashes. Burnout is the norm.
Europeans protect their peace.

Their priorities are their hobbies and social time with friends and family.

They work to live. They don´t live to work.

But Americans often prioritize work over everything and it´s destroying their health and well-being. Image
5. Neglecting sleep.

Americans wear sleep deprivation like it’s a badge of honor.

It´s a testament to how hard they´re working for their family.

"I´ll sleep when I´m dead"...

But with that attitude, you´ll be dead sooner than you think...
Europeans embrace sleep and rest.

• Naps
• Slow mornings
• Later starts for work.

They prioritize rest the way Americans prioritize caffeine.

Their bodies thank them for it.
6. Not prioritizing connection with others.

Statistics of loneliness in the US have skyrocketed in recent years.

• Working too many hours
• Not enough time for friends and family
• Too much screen time and not enough real-life interaction.
Europeans eat together.

Live close to family.

Know more people in their town.

Do more activities in real-life and have less screen time.

They have real community. Image
The modern American culture is very unhealthy.

You can´t change the whole culture but you can take individual responsibility for your own health and improve it:

• Walk more
• Sleep more
• Reduce stress
• Eat unprocessed food
• Spend more time with friends & family.

40 years ago, Big Tobacco giants who got millions hooked on cigarettes secretly took control of your food.

They’ve since made billions manipulating food, rewiring your cravings, and destroying your health.

Here’s how Big Tobacco has been controlling food since the 1980s: 🧵
How It All Started

By the 1980s, Big Tobacco was in trouble.

The science was undeniable: smoking was killing people.

But instead of facing accountability, these profit-hungry corporations shifted their focus to a new target:

YOU and your dinner table.
In 1985, Philip Morris made its first big move.

It purchased General Foods (the makers of Kool-Aid, Jell-O, Maxwell House) for $5.6 billion.

This was the largest non oil acquisition ever at the time.

And just the first domino to fall...

Big Pharma lied to you about cholesterol.

They told you to replace steak and eggs with "heart healthy" grains...

Now over 70% of Americans are overweight and 1 in 5 die of heart disease.

Here's the truth about cholesterol and what really causes heart disease: 🧵
The myth of cholesterol from red meat, eggs and dairy causing heart disease started with ONE false study in the 1950s.

Ancel Keys cherry-picked data from 7 countries while ignoring 15 others that didn't fit his narrative.

Here´s the story:
Cholesterol itself isn´t bad for you and it doesn´t cause heart disease.

Even "bad" LDL cholesterol doesn´t cause heart disease.

LDL cholesterol is only a problem when it´s oxidized.

The most deadly yet underdiagnosed condition by doctors:

Non-Alcoholic Fatty Liver Disease.

1 in 3 adults have it and it silently leads to cancer, diabetes, and early death.

Here are the warning signs you might have it and 8 ways to reverse it naturally: 🧵
Non-Alcoholic Fatty Liver Disease is excess fat buildup in the liver but not from alcohol.

It´s driven by:

• Seed oils
• Sugar overload
• Processed food
• Insulin resistance
• Chronic inflammation

It can lead to cancer, cirrhosis, and early death.
Early signs of non-alcoholic fatty liver disease:

• Bloating
• Brain fog
• Chronic fatigue
• Belly fat that won’t budge
• Elevated liver enzymes (if tested)

You normally don´t even have liver pain.

It´s a silent killer.

It´s even the #1 cause of liver transplant.

Your gut keeps you alive.

But mainstream health advice is killing it, increasing your risk of:

- Depression
- Insulin resistance
- Chronic inflammation.

Here are 9 lies you must not follow (and how to undo the damage): 🧵

1. Avoid red meat and eggs
High quality red meat and eggs have a ton of nutrients that improve gut health:

- Zinc
- Choline
- Vitamin A
- B vitamins
- Heme iron
- Cholesterol
- Butyrate precursors.

They don´t cause heart disease either.

That myth started with this ONE false study in the 1950s:
2. Fiber is always good for your gut.

If you already have gut issues like:

- Crohn´s or ulcerative colitis
- IBS (Irritable Bowel Syndrome)
- Small Intestinal Bacterial Overgrowth (SIBO)

More fiber can irritate your gut lining and feed bad bacteria.

Fix these issues first. Image

You´ve been lied to.

The foods they say are healthy...

Are actually killing you.

Avoid these 6 "health" foods: 🧵

1. Fruit juice
The processing to turn fruit into fruit juice removes or damages the:

- Fiber
- Vitamins
- Polyphenols & antioxidants

That make fruit healthy in the first place.

This is a problem for 90% of the population already dealing with insulin resistance and low daily activity. Image
2. Plant-based "meat".

It’s an ultra-processed, lab-made product backed by false marketing.

It even contains chemicals like:

- Dyes
- Hexane
- Preservatives

Which damage your hormones, organs and increase your risk of cancer. Image

Heart disease kills 1 in 5 people.

But your doctor never tests the #1 early warning sign.

A Low Heart Rate Variability means stress is silently destroying your heart...

And over 60% of adults have it.

Here´s how to fix it ASAP to save your heart: 🧵
Heart Rate Variability measures the variation in time between each heartbeat.

HRV is governed by your autonomic nervous system, which has two branches:

1. Sympathetic Nervous System ("fight or flight")

2. Parasympathetic Nervous System ("rest and digest")
A high HRV shows you have a strong, adaptable autonomic nervous system.

- Better cardiovascular fitness
- Less excess stress
- Lower inflammation
- Longer lifespan.
