My ancestors, the Acadians, were forced from their homes at gunpoint in the start of Le Grand Dรฉrangementโthe Great Upheaval. ๐
Villages burned. Families ripped apart. Fate scattered at sea. #AcadianHeritage ๐งต๐๐ผ

๐บ August 10, 1755 โ Governor Charles Lawrence issued the order: Every Acadian must be removed from Nova Scotia.
They refused to abandon their Catholic faith or pledge loyalty to the British Crown. Faith over fear. Freedom over chains. โ๏ธ

Nearly 10,000 people were exiled across oceansโsome to the American colonies, others to Britain, France, and the Caribbean.
Thousands perished to disease, starvation, or shipwreck. History tries to erase them, but we refuse to fade. ๐

Enter my 7th great-grandfather: Joseph โBeausoleilโ BroussardโAcadian militiaman and legend. โ๏ธ
Captured after resisting injustice, imprisoned, but never broken. When freed, he refused retreat.
He led refugees on a fierce journey to freedom. #WarriorBlood

From Saint-Domingue โ New Orleans (1765) โ Governor granted land in the Attakapas region.
They landed on Bayou Teche between todayโs Loreauville & St. Martinville.
This journey wasnโt just survivalโit was soul reborn.

This land made us Cajunsโdescendants of exiles turned fighters, survivors turned storytellers.
Our culture is a refusal to vanish.
Faith, family, and freedom carried us home. It always will.

We survived betrayal. We rebuilt. We thrived.
They tried to erase us, but truth doesnโt die.
We are proof a people steeped in faith and fire cannot be extinguished.

Good evening fellow warriors!
The last 10 months have been rough for several reasons. What helps me is helping my fellow veterans. I deactivated this account a few times to keep from going off on politicians.
I thought by having Capt Kuehne as a moderator, X would keep the community up while I took a break for a day. But X would make the community disappear anytime I deactivated, even with him still on it. If that caused any drop-off, my apologies. 1/10 ๐งต๐ชก
On Feb 25th, the Inspire Sleep Apnea device implanted in me back in Dec 2023 malfunctioned. Instead of sending a signal to my tongue, it shocked me nonstop for 2 hours until it finally stopped. 2/10
It wasnโt even turned on when it happened. I truly thought I was going to die. My sister-in-law was on the phone with 911, while trying to keep me conscious, and thought I died twice. She said I turned grey and may have had a seizure. It was terrifying. 3/10

La Hire was one of Jeanneโs most trusted and fearless warriorsโhis presence alone struck fear into enemies and inspired his allies. He was audacieux, impitoyable, et sans compromis. But men like that? They donโt always translate well outside of bataille.
That intensityโthe same fire that made him unstoppableโcould also make others uneasy. Passion can inspire, but it can also overwhelm. A warrior doesnโt soften his wordsโhe speaks the truth, unfiltered and raw.
And yetโฆ lโhistoire se souvient toujours des hommes comme lui. ๐๐ฅ
