13.8 billion years ago… the Universe burst into existence. 🌌💥
We call it the Big Bang today.
But 5,000+ years ago, the Rigveda described it as Maha Visphotam - the Great Cosmic Explosion. 🪷✨
A thread on ancient wisdom & modern science 👇

1. Rigveda’s vision:
Everything began as a single, infinitely small Bindu (dot).
The primordial seed of creation. 🌱
Silent, potent, waiting.

2. After a period of germination, the Bindu undergoes Sphota - an explosion so vast, it releases Nada (primordial sound).
This sound was not just noise - it was the vibration that wove the Universe into existence.

3. Modern science calls this moment:
The Big Bang 🌠
An infinitely dense point expands suddenly, creating space, time, matter, and energy.

Sounds familiar?
Ancient seers might have used poetic Sanskrit; physicists use mathematics.
But both speak of the same beginning.

4. Bindu Sphota = Big Bang

Bindu → Singularity

Sphota → Expansion/Explosion

Nada → Cosmic Background Radiation (the “echo” still heard in space)

5. Why is this significant?
Because it shows ancient Bharat was not merely philosophising - it was observing cosmic truths, expressed through metaphors, mantras, and meditative insight. 🪷📜

6. Rigveda didn’t just stop at creation.
It spoke of cycles - creation, sustenance, dissolution - over and over.
What science now calls oscillating universe theory was simply Sanatana Dharma’s eternal truth.

7. When East & West meet,
Science finds poetry, and poetry finds proof.
Maha Visphotam reminds us:
Our ancestors gazed at the same stars and saw the Universe’s birth in them.
