🧵Highlights from the FBI memos declassified by @FBIDirectorKash on Monday.
These five memos reveal a scheme by members and staffers of the HPSCI to acquire and leak classified information. Their aim was to smear President Trump, "impeach" him, and "topple" his administration.
@FBIDirectorKash First memo is from 9/21/17
HPSCI staff believed that if Hillary won the 2016 election, Rep. Adam Schiff would become Director of the CIA.
@FBIDirectorKash They never thought she would lose.
@FBIDirectorKash But she did lose. And after that happened, the leaks began.
"Democratic minority leadership of HPSCI was aware of the leaks but was under the impression that leaking the information was one way to topple the [Trump] administration..."
@FBIDirectorKash "The leaks were driven from the top; they were structured and intentional."
The whistleblower had no info that Schiff directed them, but "he opined Schiff was aware it was going on and provided tacit approval."
@FBIDirectorKash So, if not Schiff, then who was directing these "driven from the top," "structured," and "intentional" leaks?
@FBIDirectorKash 2/13/2017
Someone in HPSCI "instructed the staff to use any sources they had developed within the Intelligence Community to gather facts."
"He wanted to make the information public and use the media to compel public opinion to bring about the Joint Inquiry."
@FBIDirectorKash They specifically sought information on @GenFlynn "contacts with the Russians."
@FBIDirectorKash @GenFlynn "Everything is directed at Trump and trying to get him impeached."
Flynn just happened to be a means to getting there.
@FBIDirectorKash @GenFlynn "HPSCI personnel contacted" government agencies and "requested the number of documents the agencies had related to President Trump."
"They planned to request the unmasking of the individuals and then deal with them."
A "Russia Team" was created. This team would visit the agencies, presumably the FBI and CIA, view the classified information, then "come back and brief the broader group of HPSCI staff and Congressional members of HPSCI."
Counting the redactions, there are at least 8 people involved in this.
@FBIDirectorKash @GenFlynn At least three people at Legal Affairs at one of the agencies are used to pull the documents, which must be kept in a secure room due to their classification.
There is a list of who views them.
Two HPSCI attorneys are used to request the unmasking.
@FBIDirectorKash @GenFlynn "Rep Swalwell has been the source of a lot of leaked information and to be counseled to be more careful."
@FBIDirectorKash @GenFlynn "HPSCI staff feels it is doing nothing wrong in leaking because they are being told they are in the middle of a constitutional crisis."
@FBIDirectorKash @GenFlynn The whistleblower detailed "three potential pathways he believed were responsible for leaks of classified information originating out of HPSCI."
@FBIDirectorKash @GenFlynn The staff believe Rep Schiff will eventually be a Senator or even President and "plan to ride his coat tails"
@FBIDirectorKash @GenFlynn The whistleblower believes that the FBI Congressional liaison personnel "are too embedded with HPSCI staff" so he didn't go to them and instead went to IG Horowitz.
@FBIDirectorKash @GenFlynn That was all just from the first (chronologically) memo.
Next memo, 10/18/2017
This one details a call with the FBI Supervisory Special Agent who is the liaison to the HPSCI.
He conveys that a Republican staffer contacted him about the firing of the Democrat staffer—the whistleblower.
He "was suddenly fired due to a perceived lack of party loyalty."
@FBIDirectorKash @GenFlynn The whistleblower relayed to the Republican staffer that "he had been fired because there was an expectation of leaking, and he refused to participate."
He further described a "systematic process through which leaks were effected."
Next memo, 12/19/2017
Same whistleblower, now a former staffer for the HPSCI.
He recalls an HPSCI meeting from September 2016 where two staffers confirmed they had "been in contact with unnamed journalists" and "provided information to the media with the understanding that it would be published..."
@FBIDirectorKash @GenFlynn HPSCI staffers are prohibited from speaking with media, but "journalists would routinely call the HPSCI offices and ask for staffers by name..."
@FBIDirectorKash @GenFlynn The former staffer recounted to investigators the same story he had previously provided months earlier.
@FBIDirectorKash @GenFlynn Crucially, he informed them that he took contemporaneous handwritten notes and emailed himself notes about what had happened.
He provided these to investigators.
@FBIDirectorKash @GenFlynn Members of the HPSCI "Russia Team" would visit the CIA (I assume) read room, view the classified material, run back over to HPSCI office and use a stand-alone computer to write summaries. They would then brief other HPSCI staff and congressmen on what they had viewed.
On one occasion, one of the staffers shared information "concerning a sensitive intelligence matter for which the committee exercised oversight. Upon receiving the information, [REDACTED] insisted to [the whistleblower] that the information must be shared with a particular foreign government." !!!
April 2017, the whistleblower [REDACTED], who previously served as the [REDACTED]'s Inspector General. They put the whistleblower "in touch with... the [REDACTED], the acting [REDACTED] IG..."
This happened before the whistleblower met with the FBI.
Christopher Sharpley was acting CIA IG at this time.
@FBIDirectorKash @GenFlynn The whistleblower "was certain that Schiff was behind the February 2017 meeting during which [REDACTED] instructed the staff to collect information from the USIC for purposes of making it public."
@FBIDirectorKash @GenFlynn Journalists would call mid-afternoon to get their leaks and publish the stories.
"call-chain analysis would indicate the sources of leaked material"
@FBIDirectorKash @GenFlynn Next memo 6/28/23
The whistleblower informed investigators that during an "all staff meeting... Schiff stated the group would leak classified information which was derogatory to President [Trump]. Schiff stated the information would be used to indict President Trump."
@FBIDirectorKash @GenFlynn The whistleblower at one point was invited to attend a mock grand jury on the matter. Not clear if that took place or not.
He "was eventually informed that the issue would not be investigated further by DOJ."
Sure, you may not be able to indict the Congressmen for things they said on the House floor or in committees, but it seems like the staffers are fair game and that this was a conspiracy involving eight or more HPSCI staffers plus some of their spouses or associates, plus congressmen, plus media contacts to acquire classified information and then leak that classified information.
It's weaponizing intelligence for not just political gain but to "topple" a Presidency.
If the whistleblower's testimony can be corroborated with other testimony and evidence such as call logs, text messages, emails, the lists of who viewed the classified info and when, etc... a significant conspiracy case can be built.
@FBIDirectorKash @GenFlynn Here's something fun.
Does IG Horowitz already have much of this evidence?
🧵UNSEALED: New indictment against Zubayr al-Bakoush for his role in the September 11, 2012, terrorist attack on the U.S. Mission in Benghazi, Libya.
Charges include conspiracy, terrorism, attempted murder, murder, and arson.
1/n
Al-Bakoush is the third person to be apprehended and charged in connection to the Benghazi attack.
The other two are Ahmed Salim Faraj Abu Khatallah and Mustafa Muhammad Muftah al-Imam.
2/n
Abu Khattala was indicted in August of 2013 and captured by Delta Force in June 2014.
He was convicted in 2017, sentenced in 2018, but the sentence was later overturned due to it being WAY too low—just 22 years.
He was resentenced to 28 years and is now in the CO Supermax. 3/n
🧵There have been a few interesting developments recently in the case of DOW Contractor Perez-Lugones, who stole classified intel, and WaPo's Hannah Natanson who published excerpts of that intel.
I'm going to detail them in this thread and in a new video.

For background, here is my previous thread on this case.
AG Pam Bondi has empowered the US Attorney for Eastern Missouri, Thomas Albus, as a Special Prosecutor for DOJ under 28 USC 515 and directed him to conduct voter fraud probes in all 94 US Districts.
His first overt move was to convince a magistrate judge in Fulton County to authorize a search warrant for their 2020 election records. The FBI executed that search warrant last week under the supervision of FBI Deputy Director Andrew Bailey and DNI Tulsi Gabbard.
Why would the DNI be there? Well, according to the WSJ, she's been given a task: investigate foreign interference in recent elections—including 2020.
This means that components of both the DOJ and the ODNI are working on election fraud and foreign interference inquiries right now. Interesting!
🧵As we expected, or at least hoped for, Don Lemon and several others have been indicted for conspiring to and engaging in a disruption of a church service in St Paul, MN, back on January 18.
Clear violations of the clergy, staff, and parishioners 1A Rights and of the FACE Act
🧵Meet the special prosecutor @AGPamBondi has empowered to investigate election integrity cases nationwide.
Interim United States Attorney for the Eastern District of Missouri Thomas C. Albus
1/n
@AGPamBondi Albus was CONFIRMED to the post on Dec 18 by a vote of 53-43, so pss pss @USAO_EDMO ya'll need to update the boss's bio.
: )
2/n
@AGPamBondi @USAO_EDMO According to a report in Bloomberg, @AGPamBondi used 28 USC 515 to give Albus the "authority to conduct voter fraud probes anywhere in the US"
He can "coordinate civil and criminal cases, including grand jury proceedings, in all 94 US attorney districts."
Indycar teams, services, safety crews, Marshall’s, transport teams, mechanics, parts suppliers, etc etc etc… all the thousands of people who are required in order to make an Indycar race safely and professionally take place made their plans for 2026 a year ago. Such an upheaval of those plans and a scramble to cram in a race to a calendar that was set many months ago is going to a) piss people off, b) give people severe headaches, c) increase expenditures, and d) set up the race for embarrassment and disarray.
And that’s before we even consider the track, driver and spectator safety, tv coverage plans, radio and timing setup up, the pit setup, hospitality, bathrooms, get approvals from the governing bodies and utilities, etc etc etc.
Indycar doing a race on the east coast, in or near DC?
That’s a fantastic idea!
Forcing a race to happen with only like seven months to plan it all out, get the budgets for it, build the paddock and track, account for all the safety concerns, etc etc.
