Why did ancient seers design homes based on the Sun’s path & cosmic energies?
It’s not superstition - it’s astronomy + architecture + Sanatan wisdom.

1. The Sun is the giver of light, life & energy.
Our Rishis mapped its movement across seasons - Summer, Winter & Equinox to design homes that align with health, harmony & prosperity.
This science is called Vastu Shastra.

2. Vastu = Vas (to dwell) + Sthana (place).
It’s the ancient Indian science of architecture.
But it’s not just about rooms - it’s about aligning your dwelling with:
Solar energy
Cardinal directions
Panchabhutas (5 elements).

3. Why East-facing homes?
Because the Sun rises in the East.
Placing the main entrance towards East allows positive prana (life energy) to flow in with morning sunlight purifying both mind & body.

4. Kitchen → Southeast (Agni corner).
Fire element thrives here. Cooking in this direction ensures food absorbs maximum solar energy, aiding digestion & health.

5. Pooja Room → Northeast (Ishanya).
The purest, most auspicious corner.
Morning rays fall here first → best for meditation, prayer & spiritual awakening.

6. Bedroom → Southwest (Nairutya).
This direction gives stability, grounding & restful sleep.
It balances energies and keeps the head oriented towards South, aligning with Earth’s magnetic field.

7. Living & Guest Rooms → Northwest (Vayavya).
Symbol of movement & flow.
Perfect for guests & social gatherings → energies circulate without stagnation.

8. Water tanks/storage → Northeast.
Water (Jal tattva) in Ishanya direction enhances prosperity.
This is why temples too have water bodies near the East/North.
