actually, they are here because they can make more money here and send it back to their home country and enrich their own families. There is nothing altruistic about their motives. That’s fine. Everyone should look out for their own families. Americans have the right to look out for ours too and complain when illegals are driving up our cost of living
Right now, if an American goes on Tik Tok and says they are moving to Mexico because they have a WFH job making American dollars that will go further in Mexico, their comments will be full of Mexican citizens telling them not come, calling them colonizers for gentrifying coastal towns where locals can no longer afford to live etc, but when Americans say “ we don’t want you to come here because you take very low wages and drive without insurance and drivers licenses and that makes all of our car insurance rates go up, etc.”, we’re xenophobes. Make it make sense
also, Americans going there are doing so legally, paying tons of fees and proving fluency in their language before they can get citizenship
also driving drunk isn’t kind or nice to your neighbors and our jails in my town are full of illegals with DUI’s every weekend
