Lord, Keep our eyes fixed on You, keep our hearts fixed on You. Though we walk through life surrounded by snakes, and by wolves in sheep clothing, help us to have Your discernment, and not to fear.
Thank You that even if a viper attaches itself to us, we like Paul will shake it off, and suffer no harm. That people may marvel at Your great power to Your children.
You said when we walk through the valley of the shadow of death, when we pass through the waters, and the fires, You will protect us. You will keep us from the day of trouble. You hold our hand. You say unto us, fear ye not! Thank You LORD!
Genesis 3:1
Now the serpent was more subtil than any beast of the field which the LORD God had made.
The serpent twists God’s Words. Beware of those false
Genesis 3:13
And the LORD God said unto the woman, What is this that thou hast done? And the woman said, The serpent beguiled me, and I did eat.
2 Corinthians 11:3-4
But I fear, lest by any means, as the serpent beguiled Eve through his subtilty, so your minds should be corrupted from the simplicity that is in Christ.
For if he that cometh preacheth another Jesus, whom we have not preached, or if ye receive another spirit, which ye have not received, or another gospel, which ye have not accepted, ye might well bear with him.
Matthew 7:15
Beware of false prophets, which come to you in sheep's clothing, but inwardly they are ravening wolves.
2 Corinthians 11:13-15
For such are false apostles, deceitful workers, transforming themselves into the apostles of Christ. And no marvel; for Satan himself is transformed into an angel of light.
Therefore it is no great thing if his ministers also be transformed as the ministers of righteousness; whose end shall be according to their works.
Colossians 2:4,6,8-9
And this I say, lest any man should beguile you with enticing words. [6] As ye have therefore received Christ Jesus the LORD, so walk ye in Him:
[8] Beware lest any man spoil you through philosophy and vain deceit, after the tradition of men, after the rudiments of the world, and not after Christ. For in Him dwelleth all the fulness of the Godhead bodily.
Colossians 2:18
Let no man beguile you of your reward in a voluntary humility and worshipping of angels, intruding into those things which he hath not seen, vainly puffed up by his fleshly mind.
Trust in Him. He is walking with us!
Psalm 112:7
He shall not be afraid of evil tidings: his heart is fixed, trusting in the LORD.
Psalm 23:4
Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for Thou art with me; Thy rod and Thy staff they comfort me.
Acts 28:3,5-6
And when Paul had gathered a bundle of sticks, and laid them on the fire, there came a viper out of the heat, and fastened on his hand.
[5] And he shook off the beast into the fire, and felt no harm. Howbeit they looked when he should have swollen, or fallen down dead suddenly: but after they had looked a great while, and saw no harm come to him.
Isaiah 43:2-3
When thou passest through the waters, I will be with thee; and through the rivers, they shall not overflow thee: when thou walkest through the fire, thou shalt not be burned; neither shall the flame kindle upon thee.
For I am the LORD thy God, the Holy One of Israel, thy Saviour.
Isaiah 41:10
Fear thou not; for I Am with thee: be not dismayed; for I Am thy God: I will strengthen thee; yea, I will help thee; yea, I will uphold thee with the right hand of My Righteousness.
He will keep us!
Revelation 3:10
Because thou hast kept the word of My patience, I also will keep thee from the hour of temptation, which shall come upon all the world, to try them that dwell upon the earth.
Nahum 1:7
The LORD is Good, a Strong Hold in the day of trouble; and He knoweth them that trust in Him.

Did you begin your journey with the LORD with zeal and determination to follow Him always, to obey His Word, to love and serve Him with all your heart?
Where are you today? Have you shrunk back from that? Are you continuing to stand up and stand strong against evil, or have you fallen back into it?
Do you speak out about the immoral practices in our world? Things like abortion, homosexuality, adultery, fornication, and others sins, or have you like some accepted these, or even practice them?
Our very breath comes from the LORD! His breath gave man life in the beginning at creation, and His breath sustains us each day that we live.
Genesis 2:7
And the LORD God formed man of the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living soul.
Job 12:10
In Whose hand is the soul of every living thing, and the breath of all mankind.
Dear child of God, if we truly understood that our life began and continues in this world only as long as He gives us each breath, we would not only fear God, but we would not fear death.
When Jesus taught His disciples how to pray, one thing He said was that they should pray to their Father in heaven that His kingdom would come, and that His Will would be done on earth just as it is done in heaven!
As I thought about this part of what has become known as the LORD’S prayer, it struck me that this prayer won’t be fully answered until Jesus reigns upon this earth during the millennium!
Here is Luke’s account of what Jesus reply was to them about how to pray!
Luke 11:1-4
And it came to pass, that, as He was praying in a certain place, when He ceased, one of His disciples said unto Him, LORD, teach us to pray, as John also taught his disciples.
How do you view the world? How do you view other people? How do you view yourself?
Perception is defined as ‘physical sensation interpreted in the light of experience.’
Often we look at the world, ourselves, and others based on things that have happened to us in the past. Did you grow up in a family that was filled with strife and division? Were your parents divorced? Were you abused?
Our circumstances and experiences in life frame our perception.
Having grown up in a home without a Dad present because of divorce, it was hard for me to understand a loving heavenly Father.
I was listening to a local Christian radio station this morning on my way to run an errand, and I heard a song about the church being like a hospital for sick people.
The song said that if we really accepted all people, like those in sin, our churches would be full!
It sounds good doesn’t it, and it appeals to our desire not to exclude anyone in the name of love, non judgment, and tolerance, but is it Biblical?
The early church set a pattern for the gathering of the saints of God; or those who were saved. Paul speaks a lot about the church service.
