The core nature of war never changes.

This is the one of the most brutal battlefields you likely never heard of, the "Tollense Valley Battlefield".

Do not repeat the past, but learn from it.
Short thread: Image
Let me explain quickly what we have here.

We have a river valley, that has NOT changed materially since the battle took place, you have to assume it was more forested though.

This battle was a huge one, especially considering the sizes of population back then, around 1300 BC. Image
The overall amount of combatants and nature of the conflict, about 3.300 years ago, can only be derived from corpses found.

Scientists are doing an amazing job though, and allow us knuckle draggers to get the information we need to paint a picture that makes sense to us. Image
The first important element, that was already alluded to in the initial Google Maps/Paint draft that I did, was a BRIDGE.

3.330 years ago, so good, that parts were still found, not a commodity back then.
If you ever swam across a river, you know the value of that. Image
The other element that we can see, is that the battle area was VERY focused.
The finds suggest that the battle was mostly fought with arrows, and focused on this area.
Less than 1000m/1100yd across, thats tiny, especially since people back then were likely good runners. Image
Numbers of corpses found are in the 100s, no bronze weapons were found (yes, bronze age, no iron or steel yet!), yet cutmarks of swords were found on bones.

Corpses were at times even piled up. Image
As the weapons indicate, there were at least two materially different classes of troops present.
One was identified to have been using standardized equipment and weapons, the other was identified using cruder weapons, like "baseball bats".

Arrowheads were plentiful in bones. Image
Image
I have my own theory about this. I am going from this pattern of injuries, the "Survivorship Bias" of the Bronze Age. Image
The most important information to me, to complete my theory puzzle, is the fact that they have found arrowheads and equipment consistent with southern Europe.
Let us look at that Battlefield again. To me, thats a classical ambush of an invading force at a bottleneck. Image
I would presume that the ones with the standardized equipment are the native troops of the invading force, accompanied by secondary "baseball bat" troops are either enslaved soliders, mercenaries or simply their disposable grunts.

You dont march that size of force about 1000km/700 miles as rag tag gang, that was an organized, ranked force, the bronze age equivalent of an army.

Size: 3000 to 5000, so comparing the few people alive to a modern population, thats an entire army in todays logic.Image

Allow me to explain how Russia is Winning in Ukraine.

Do you know Khimki /

It is a great case for the scale of success of the Red Army in Ukraine.
Allow me to elaborate in a brief thread on the mattere.

Follow along! 🧐
On December 2nd, 1941, the German Wehrmacht made its furthest progress towards Moscow, in the Suburb called Khimki.

The location at 55.912919, 37.402933 is marked with "Protivotankovyye Yezhi" today, showing the resilience of Russia and the success in the "Great Patriotic War".Image
From that point on, Russia continued to advance to Berlin, culminating in the capture of the Reichstag on May 2nd, 1945.

Between the two points, the distance is 1.598km / 993 miles.
This took Russia 1247 days, representing an advance of 1.28 km or 0.80 miles per day. Image

This map is very telling, and concerning as datapoint.

Zero NATO assets between UK and Ukraine, Italy to Baltics.
NATO has changed operations to a combat setting.

There is a very large attack on Ukraine right now, and an incursion in Baltics.
There will be active Fighters, AEW and Tankers.
Not even the tankers are shown anymore.Image
I have researched when this happened, it was likely around midnight Friday to Saturday.
The typical UK Voyager for the night rotation for the Eastern Guardian Mission was already missing 24h ago.
I would like to follow up and suggest that the closure of polish airspace with no QRA Tankers and AEW appearing that they are indeed operating dark.

Let me give a VERY quick rundown on some of the "KEY" abilities of a modern SDR like the KIWISDR.

Radio is a mystic monster for most people, so let me do a short thread with the KEY takeaways for people who have not used this AT ALL.🧵
Traditional Radios were basically analogue devices that turn radiowaves into sound.
Your old Grandpas "world radio" is a perfect example.

Depending on the "Frequency", think ocean waves, the faster they come behind each other, the higher the frequency.

In this context, there is "FM" etc that people know from radio stations. This is "good" in terms of sound quality, but BAD over long distances.

For crisis and OSINT, we like to look at something called "HF" and lower, so anything BELOW 30 MHZ.
Why do "we" like HF? Because it is the frequency of choice for "long distances".

Because we have 2025, we now have the magic of not needing an analogue radio, but "software defined" Radios.
But! If you read so far, get a cheap AA powered Radio, just for completeness sake. Image

Image

Comparing GenAI of Midjourney 6.1 with Dalle-E using "OSINT" "SECURITY" "MILITARY" prompts.
Text will be prompt (sans instructions, like --v6.1 etc), the four images are the midjourney output, the single is the Dall-E Output.

Die Tat beginnt ab 12:30, also 3 Minuten 43 Sekunden später.
#mannheim #anschlag #terror Image
Image
