➡️IPC tested 15,700 kids for malnutrition in July and found 12%—below 15% famine threshold
😕Problematic. So what did they do?
➡️Use a smaller incomplete 7,100 sample showing 16%
✅Solved. Now UN can claim famine in Gaza!
Evidence & sources:
IPC used MUAC (Mid-Upper Arm Circumference) of kids to assess starvation where 15%=famine. But instead of using full July dataset they dishonestly used a smaller incomplete sample of 7,127 kids. Table 18 of report shows 16.4% in Gaza Governorate—just enough to declare famine. 2/
On Aug 8, the State of Palestine Nutrition Cluster released a LARGER dataset of 15,749 kids—same Gaza sites, same methods—showing 12% malnutrition, below famine. You don’t need a PhD to know a sample twice the size is more reliable—and that ignoring it is academic fraud. 3/
There is a false claim that Gaza MUAC % rose in late July, so even if the full month was <15% the trend was moving above 15%. FALSE. MUAC was already >15% in 1st-half samples and data shows 2nd half trended down—EMPHNET, MDM-France, UNRWA all lower for full month vs 1st half. 4/
Not surprisingly, IPC’s Gaza famine claim fails basic reality checks, because they cooked the books. Even the 12% MUAC rate for all July is suspect—UNRWA was a source. By IPC math there should be 200 deaths daily but even Hamas claims <300 total such deaths for ENTIRE war. 5/
How is it possible that so-called “professional” IPC scientists would publish fraudulent results? Because some IPC members, like Andy Seal, obsessively loathe Israel and openly shill for Hamas. They write political, not scientific reports. 6/
There are many other flaw in the report, such as the use of MUAC to determine famine, and clinic-based screenings which the IPC normally prohibits as the data does not represent the general population. See report for more flaws. IPC sources next. END govextra.gov.il/mda/ipc/gaza/
Replying something like "well 12% malnutrition is your defense?" misses 2 points. It acknowledges the IPC fraud; there are other problems, so even this number is not credible. MUAC method is flawed, clinic data only and more. Lastly, Hamas is to blame for all problems in Gaza.
Here is a more technical discussion on why MUAC is not a reliable measurement for famine assessment. But we already know the IPC was not interested in accuracy or integrity:
🧵An IDF airstrike on Ismail Haniyeh’s home in Gaza on June 25, 2024 reportedly killed his sister, husband and 8 children per Hamas spokesperson Mahmoud Basal. BUT HE LIED. It killed 5 adult men, including a confirmed Qassam fighter. Combatants were targeted. Full details: 1/
On March 12, 2026, a Hamas affiliated Telegram channel revealed that Moamen Nahed HANIYEH (ID 408430759 Age 21) was a Hamas fighter, with the same date of death as the strike on his family home. A two-minute video shows Haniyeh armed. 2/ t.me/AqmarTofan/227
A Palestinian website called “Genocide in Gaza” corroborates that Moamen Nahed HANIYEH was killed by this specific airstrike on his home on 6/25/24. So we already know that spox Mahmoud Basal blatantly lied to the NY Times, covering up the true targets of the attack. 3/
🧵Hamas doesn't just use Gaza hospitals as bases. Many “hospital workers” are Hamas operatives, possibly fake medical staff. Hamas just admitted yet another "nurse," Najm Abu al-Jibeen, was a Qassam commander. The infiltration of hospitals runs deeper than imagined. Details: 1/
In a series of recent "marty" notices, al-Jibeen was honored as a commander, a fighter killed in action. A three minute video shows him in combat training and in action. Nothing about being a "nurse." 2/
However, a database detailing Gaza fatalities called "Genocide in Gaza" remembers al-Jibeen as a "nurse," shown in the image in scrubs. He was killed on November 26, 2023 and listed in the Hamas fatality eight months later (ID 404672800, Age 24). 3/ gigaza.org/martyrs/%d9%86…
🧵An IDF airstrike in Rafah on May 4, 2024 was reported as an illegal attack on a home only killing innocent civilians. But PIJ now admits that one of its commanders, Ahmed Jumaa Zarab, was the target, corroborating IDF claims. Slowly the truth comes out. Details & sources: 1/
PIJ’s Telegram channel published confirmation of dozens of its commanders killed. One of them, Zarab, was listed as having been killed in the strike on the Abu Al-Anin home, per the “Gaza Genocide” website which keeps track of Gaza fatality details. Sources at end of thread. 2/
News stories recount an airstrike specifically on the Abu Al-Anin family. Getty Images published videos of the strike aftermath. This corroborates the strike on May 4 that killed Zarab (ID 802551176), recently confirmed by PIJ itself as a commander. 3/
🧵An IDF airstrike on a home in Shaboura, Rafah on Dec 14, 2023 was reported as an illegal strike on a “refugee camp” for displaced Gazans. But a Hamas martyr notice now confirms actual target: a Rafah Brigade commander, Subhi Abu Shaer. The truth slowly comes out. Detail: 1/
This specific IDF strike on a house in the so-called Shaboura “refugee camp” in Rafah at 19:20 on Dec 14, 2023 was covered by several media outlets. NPR even had a reporter on scene. Yet no mention the strike may have targeted Hamas members. 2/ npr.org/2023/12/14/121…
A Palestinian website documenting Gaza fatalities says the Shaboura strike that specific day hit the Abu Shaer home, killing Subhi Abu Shaer, 54. He also appears on the official Hamas fatality list (ID 926352253). 3/ gigaza.org/martyrs/%d8%b5…
🧵Another @airwars "airstrike analysis" that concluded the IDF killed ONLY civilians in an Oct 10, 2023 attack has now been proven to have killed senior PIJ commander Ashraf al-Qara (ID 413317470, Age 53). This is the 3rd case found recently. Airwars will you update the data? 1/
Airwars' assessment for the strike assumed civilian status for everyone, although in this case they had clues 53 year old Al-Qara was a commander. But they still counted him as a civilian. Now you know @Airwars @Emily_4319 @Anna_Zahn1 @desilva_rowena 2/ airwars.org/civilian-casua…
Here is the second case of an Airwars analysis that assumed only civilians were killed: in fact it also killed confirmed PIJ commander Ayman Hassan Yassin (ID: 901319533). 3/
🧵Another @airwars "airstrike analysis" that concluded IDF killed ONLY civilians based on "local sources" has now been proven to have killed PIJ commander Ayman Hassan Yassin (ID: 901319533). This is the 2nd case found recently. The Yassin family head was a terrorist leader. 1/
As a review: Airwars’ preposterous “analysis” issued in 2024 evaluated IDF airstrikes from October 2023. They concluded that out of 606 IDF airstrikes, only 26 — or 4% — killed a combatant. The other 580 killed ONLY civilians! Seriously. 2/
But with just a handful of recent Hamas & PIJ martyr notices showing Oct 2023 deaths, the narrative is badly cracking. Mo’men Amin Jabara al-Agha, age 27—listed by Airwars as a civilian—was honored by Hamas as member of al-Qassam Brigades. Yassin is the second case found. 3/
