They should apologize for their boorishness and ignorance. In the USA, free expression of religious belief has been a part of the nation since its beginning. And frankly, given the things that these same leftists have supported, they should not be ridiculing anyone else.

There is no proof that prayer does not work, yet we know from history and experience that it can, and that at the very least it helps the one who prays.
A prayer is an expression of compassion, or caring, and maybe it helps those who we pray for.
