Roger Froikin @rlefraim wrote, "Tariffs and the USA, a lot is misunderstood.
Thanks to so-called “experts” who are not very expert.

A lot of people in the media seem to be surprised.
1)
In March, the experts said that Trump’s tariffs would cause massive inflation and a recession at best. They have continued until recently to say this as well—
2)
Yet tariffs seem to have not increased inflation, while the Treasury has had surpluses from collected tariffs for several months.

Is this magic? Of course not. It is realistic economics.
3)
First of all, tariffs are on imports. Imports into the USA other than from within North America are only 6.5% of the US economy and are in types of imports that can be sourced in other than countries that agree to equalize tariffs. (And many have),
4)
and/or in cases like China where manufacturers can lower their prices to stay in the US market. So, of course, there has been no real effect on inflation in the USA.

But a word for those who oppose Trump tariffs.
5)
1. Are you in favor of high tariffs on USA goods by Europe and others while against US tariffs on their goods? No one that cares about reciprocity or about America, can.
6)
2. Or is this, in your minds, not about fairness or anything else, other than hating Trump? That would sound insane but I think it is currently the motive."

Roger Froikin @rlefraim wrote, "I oppose using federal troops in US cities and states for crime enforcement.

First, there is the law. The Posse Comitatus Act bans the use of US military forces inside the USA.
1)
Second, there is a principle. The governments of the states and the cities in the USA have been elected by their constituents, and it is their job to handle crime in their states and cities. It is not the job of the taxpayers and voters in other cities and
2)
states to pay for a military anti-crime force in cities that have been run badly.

There are four reasons where it can be proper and legal to use federal troops:

(1) To protect federal government property;

(2) To protect federal personnel in the course of doing their jobs;

The quote is attributed to Alexander Hamilton and appears to be excerpted from "The Examination Number VIII," published on January 12, 1802, in the New-York Evening Post.
1)
This essay is part of a series Hamilton wrote under the pseudonym "Lucius" to critique the policies of the Jefferson administration, particularly regarding immigration and naturalization.
2)
The full text of the quote, as provided in the post, aligns with the content found in the Papers of Alexander Hamilton, Volume 25 (July 1800 – April 1802), edited by Harold C. Syrett. The specific passage can be accessed through the Founders Online database,

@Krickett6 wrote, "Rashida Tlaib's hate-filled speech at the Palestinian Conference was an embarrassment to the office she holds as a US Congresswoman.
1)
She fabricated accusations and gleefully indulged in blood libels against Israel, falsely accusing Israel of genocide, including rape, murder and forced starvation, without a shred of evidence, and without even a mention of the real perpetrators of those crimes.
2)
There was no mention by Tlaib of Hamas and of the thousands of Palestinians who stormed the border from Gaza to Israel and participated in the brutal attack on Israelis on October 7th.

Israel was victimized a second time after the Oct 7 Massacre, and it began immediately all over the world and especially on college campuses and street protests. We still see it today, aided by the media and algorithms spreading lies about the war and spreading antisemitism.
1)
The perpetrators of the barbaric violence still seek to destroy Israel and want a global Holocaust and have spread antisemitism as Israel has fought valiantly for her very existence.
2)
My late father and his Greatest Generation fought the Nazis and won. He fought against antisemitism as well ensuring it was only held by a small fringe group of crackpots that no one with any kind of common sense and knowledge of history would believe.

ICYMI: HOW THE US FUNDED THE ISRAELI OPPOSITION
A report published by the US House Judiciary Committee states that it is likely US government funds financed the protests against the Netanyahu government — allegedly in violation of US law
1) Image
The report further reveals that nearly one billion dollars were transferred over four years to anti-Netanyahu NGOs in Israel.

The report also claims that the Biden administration funded organizations in the region with ties to terrorist groups.
2)
Here’s how it worked:

USAID, the State Dept, and the Dept. of Defense funded Rockefeller Philanthropy Advisors, who funded PEF Israel, who funded Blue & White Future, who funded and operated Israeli anti-govt and anti-Netanyahu protests, signs, advertisements, and events.
