But the typical advice of “stand (or sit) up straight” simply does not work.

The Text Neck

1) Elevate your phone to eye level to avoid tilting your head forward

2) Stand upright with your chin tucked in and shoulders pulled back

3) Use an alarm to take periodic breaks from handheld devices Image

The Desk Slump

Over 80% of office workers complain of back pain.

Further, working at a desk can result in muscle and bone imbalances.

Prolonged sitting can also cause physical pain and discomfort plus negatively impacting your posture. Image
How to fix the Desk Slump

Start from the feet and work your way up when assessing your workspace.

1) Feet firmly on the ground

2) Hips back and open (90-110 degrees)

3) Arms at a 90-degree angle and wrists flat

4) Back straight, monitor at eye-level with sufficient distance Image

They result from various activities: driving, sitting and standing.

Spending all day in front of a screen is bad for your posture and eyes.

Get fresh air, let your eyes relax and gaze into the distance and use a walk to let your creativity flow.

Hairloss caused by genetics and DHT? Think again.

-Chronically Elevated Cortisol Levels (This increases your scalp tension)

One of the absolute BEST things you can do today is strengthen (NOT stretch) your psoas muscle

Most of the population has tremendous weakness in this muscle and here's why

You sit for 8-9 hours a day -> psoas weakens

You wear heeled shoes -> psoas weakens

Psoas weakens -> pelvic position shifts -> hunchback posture adopted -> forward head posture -> increased scalp tension -> neck pain -> anxiety/insecurity

psoas weakens -> abdominal nerves compressed -> feelings of anxiety/insecurity

Psoas weakens -> diaphragm tightens -> breathing pattern becomes shallow -> anxiety -> survival mode -> scarcity mindset

So can you see why a weak psoas will wreak havoc on your body and why it is EXTREMELY important that it is strengthened daily?

If you do well done, practice 9 reps of psoas strengthening (illustrated below) on both sides of your body, then take a look at yourself in the mirror.
