The Trump administration’s strike against a Venezuelan boat allegedly operated by Tren de Aragua was conducted outside of the rule of law.

The strike was carried out without evidence. These individuals could have easily been arrested and tried — consistent with the rule of law and American values. We all agree on stopping the flow of drugs coming into the U.S. but this amounts to an execution.
Not only has the Trump admin failed to present sufficient evidence, but their story keeps changing. The Trump admin recklessly escalated military tensions with Venezuela, and they can’t even keep their story straight.
Where does this leave Americans and our servicemembers? Less safe.

As Trump authorizes more military operations in the Caribbean, the risk of another deadly and costly conflict grows.

I cannot support sending Israel more weapons as long as Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu remains in power & I urge the Biden Administration, Israeli government, Hamas & other countries to establish a permanent ceasefire & return of Israeli hostages still in Hamas’ captivity. 1/
The death toll in Gaza has exceeded 21,000 including over 8,000 children and thousands more civilians.

Entire families and ancient communities have been wiped out by Israel’s often indiscriminate bombing, including the use of over 500 unguided 2000 lb bombs. 2/
As a United States Congressman, I cannot support this carnage.

Like much of the world, I watched in horror as Hamas terrorists attacked Israel on October 7, killing over 1200 people and taking over 200 hostages.

Despite overwhelming evidence of Attorney General Ken Paxton’s corruption, @DanPatrick and the Texas Republican Senate acquitted him.

Ken Paxton has faced criminal investigations his entire career. Less than a year into his tenure as Texas Attorney General, he was indicted on felony securities fraud charges for soliciting investors for his own financial gain. 2/
His main concern in office has been appeasing his conservative donors.

During the pandemic, he used Texas taxpayer money to target COVID restrictions in Colorado on behalf of wealthy donors who owned property there — instead of fighting for Texas families. 3/

One year ago today I found out I had cancer.

I was chairing a conference in Bilbao, Spain and was set to fly home early the next morning.

Traveling back to Bilbao on a dark highway, the driver of our car hit a boar going 70mph.

That boar may have saved my life.



After a few minutes an ambulance came and asked if I wanted to go to the hospital. I almost said no but my hand had started to swell and get red. I figured that, on the chance I’d broken a small bone in my hand, I should probably get it checked out. A quick X-ray, I thought. 2/
But as soon I arrived they treated me like a full blown trauma patient. Neck brace, IV, MRI with contrast — all of it.

The doctor said things seemed normal and was just about ready to discharge me. They moved me to another room to take out the IV.

Then the doctor came back. 3/

Not sure if it’s just the entertainment side or @CNN as well.

As a matter of public policy, how has this merger been good for people or business?

Thousands of jobs cut, stock price in half, prices up on product, less diversity, CNN sabotaged.
The Board of Directors at @wbd is complicit. Recently it quietly changed the compensation structure for a few top execs, including CEO David Zaslav (who already made $250M last year). They will no longer be measured by stock performance but by debt elimination and free cash flow.
