Here's a funny old fact. None of these "free speech" warriors. Not Elon, not Far-right-rage, not Trump, are the slightest bit worried about peaceful people being arrested for holding a bit of paper, protesting against genocide. In fact, they say arrest them all, good.
1/🧵
This tells you that "free speech" warriors are totally fake. That they don't really believe in free speech. They want the right to be racist in public, to call for violence against vulnerable minorities. They want the freedom to be Nazis, with no come back for them. No shame.
2/
If they really believed in free speech, and they absolutely don't, they'd support the right of others to be fairly heard, without fear of arrest, even if they didn't agree with them. But they don't, they want peaceful climate and anti-genocide activists, to be arrested.
3/
You see, the primary MO of the far right, is lying. Everything they claim to believe in, is the opposite of what they actually believe in i.e. doublespeak. They are total liars. Their leaders don't represent the people, they are the corrupt mouthpieces of oligarchs, the elite.
4/
The whole populist right, is a fake grassroots movement, funded by the super rich elite. Supported by thick, gullible racists, frothing at the mouth with rage and hate, who want to silence, cancel anyone who disagrees with them.
5/
It's all doublespeak. When they say, free speech, they mean they want the right to silence anyone who objects to them inciting hatred, violence and racism.
When they claim to want to fight the elite, they mean they want to fight for the elite to control everything.
6/
If the belief in free speech of the extreme right, is genuine, then why don't they support the right of others, to be freely heard, without fear of arrest.
Now prove me wrong, or I say you are a bunch of hypocritical liars. That you don't really believe in free speech.

I want to write this from an overall perspective, rather than particulars, or you end up not being able to see the wood for the trees.
The BIG question, is how did we end up with such a dire and dreadful PM?
1/🧵
When Keir Starmer stood for leader after Jeremy Corbyn resigned, whilst he didn't appear to stand for much, it seemed like we had some idea of what he was. An MP who was willing to work with the left, and a broad church leader.
2/
When standing for leader, he pledged not to change Labour much, and to keep most of Corbyn's policy. Yet as soon as he was elected, he started to systematically renege on everything he had pledged, waging war against the left, and expelling Corbyn from the Labour Party.
3/
My only reason for posting this, is that at last, we have sensible politicians, with a realistic chance of making a political breakthrough, and political parties who represent the interest of ordinary people, who are not puppets of the rich and powerful.
1/🧵
We have just under 4 years until the next general election, unless the Labour Party call it early, to work out a strategy for creating a political breakthrough, and nullifying Reform, a fake grassroots party, that only pretends to represent ordinary people.
2/
This is why I'm asking for this cooperation to be sorted out now, so these new political movements, can focus on effectively taking on the big fake political parties, that are actually representing the interests of rich and powerful vested interests, against public interest.
3/
Therefore, in a first past the post system, it is necessary for cooperation, to stop them cancelling each other out in some constituencies, and giving an unnecessary open goal to parties, that do not really represent the people, who they claim to represent.
2/
Next, I dealt with why cooperation and collaboration, as the only way to deal with the global stitch up of powerful and wealthy vested interests, which is putting us on course for global suicide, by driving the climate and ecological emergency.
3/
I would just like to clarify my position on @ZackPolanski @TheGreenParty @jeremycorbyn @zarahsultana and Your Party.
I have a long time policy, of not singularly supporting any political party, or politician to the exclusion of others.
1/🧵
This is because I have a strong belief that all ideology, can be unhelpful - as effective problem-solving, requires us to be flexible and open-minded. I also think political parties, especially in the current mode, are bad for democracy.
2/
My position on the climate, ecological and sustainability crisis, is that this can only be addressed by radical system change. I can simplify this as the need to break from business as usual BaU and many core principles of capitalism/neoliberalism.
3/
Today, I want to repeat a history lesson, for the War Criminal heads of Western governments, arresting peaceful anti-genocide activists, and for the right, pouring out their hatred of @GretaThunberg.
This is about The White Rose.
1/🧵
"The White Rose (German: Weiße Rose, pronounced [ˈvaɪsə ˈʁoːzə] ⓘ) was a non-violent, intellectual resistance group in Nazi Germany which was led by five students and one professor"
The best known member, was Sophie Scholl, who was beheaded by guillotine, by the Nazis in 1943, at the age of 21. In other words, she was younger than Greta was now. Their crime, was handing out leaflets about the Nazis.
"Bernie Sanders demands that RFK Jr step down as health secretary"
I entirely agree with @BernieSanders. Although the problem is much bigger than just RFK Jr. It's a general problem of science denial promoted by Trump, and the right in general.
Of course, I was particularly thinking about Trump's promotion of climate change denial, and his other attacks conservation, and pollution control, appointing science denying cranks, to key positions.
2/
The scientific method may not be infallible or perfect, but it is by far the best means we have about understanding the world we live in. Much, much better, than all the cranks that try to undermine it.
