Hello once again on Friday 12 September 2025.

Day 1297 of Russia's imperialist war, but the senior bully keeps being given a bloody nose by the junior school kid next door. How embarrassing for the "world's second greatest army" and more 'punches' thrown by Ukraine overnight..

Russia hitting churches, Ukraine striking a boat.
The US helping Belarus, which helps🇷🇺 & Trump questioning if the drone attack on Poland was a mistake.
Thursday ended with a Ukraine drone surge into Russia:
It was busy at Kyiv's main railway station this morning with two VIP arrivals making unannounced visits.

Prince Harry accepted a request to return to Ukraine saying "we have to keep (the war) at the forefront of people's minds."

I am not sure if she has arrived yet but another Briton coming to Kyiv bearing gifts, is the UK's new Foreign Secretary, @YvetteCooperMP

In her first overseas trip as Minister, she will be giving £142m ($193m) to Ukraine for winter aid.

Day 1296 of Russia's genocidal war in Ukraine, welcome to THE daily thread for Thursday 11 Sept.

My thoughts today are with all Americans on the 24th anniversary of a sickening terrorist attack, born of hatred.

It seems we learned little. A cycle of violence has to end.
Some may accuse me of hypocrisy, and that's fine, it's their right in a free world.

My strongest criticism is reserved for leaders who spread lies, try to brainwash and use people instead of helping them.

I don't hate all Russians, though I detest what the country has become.
If ever the U.S. and the free world needed to be unified, it is now, just like we were 24 year ago.

Russia is an existential threat to Ukraine even existing, but also to the way of life of all of us.

Too many "allies" of Ukraine lacked vision, understanding or balls, or all three and merely tried to stop the punching, while the US now rather sadistically aids the killing while shouting "peace"

Day 1292 of Ukraine's fight for survival, and Sunday begins with Russia again hitting civilians across the country in another massive attack on a sleeping population.

It's gone 5am in🇺🇦, no-one's able to sleep yet, and I'm starting another daily thread before going to bed...
Saturday exploded into life, and death, at night as Russia began what proved to be an enormous launch of drones, then missiles, at various cities across Ukraine.

Another weekend in Europe's war. It's the 184th weekend of Russia trying to bomb Ukraine out of existence.
