Hello on Day 1298 of Russia's full invasion of its sovereign neighbour. So, only 1295 days late in fulfilling the boast of taking Kyiv in 3 days. #EATP for Putin.
I've compiled a🧵every single day without fail.
You can help my work with a boost, comment, re-post or a coffee🙏
Friday saw more important visitors arrive in Kyiv (and another familiar place is in Ukraine today).
There was more solidarity and practical support, while Russia suffered more oil woes.
I'll start in Odesa, because that's where the familiar face has turned up.
He was planning to return to Ukraine a couple of weeks ago, but couldn't make it, but now Boris is back.
Loved by nearly all Ukrainians, his early arrival (with Lord Ashcroft) meant he avoids the crowds.
Sumy remains one of the most heavily attacked areas.
The regional council says 3 people have been killed and 5 more injured since yesterday morning.
The air raid in the region yesterday lasted 23 hours, 25 minutes 😳
After leaving Ukraine yesterday evening, Prince Harry allowed these photos to be released.
The Duke of Sussex visited the Alley of Fallen Heroes in Kyiv. He paid respects and thanks to Ukraine's armed forces. Ukraine provides one of the largest teams for the Invictus Games.
Kharkiv region was also attacked overnight, with aerial bombs, FPVs & regular drones falling regularly.
In Balka village, nr Kupiansk, a woman was injured in a strike on a house which caught fire, while in Kalynove, a cultural centre, apartment blocks & a hospital were damaged.
Russia says falling debris damaged a hospital in Volgograd this morning, but they have not released photos.
The city's airport was one of 4 to be shut due to the work of Ukraine's Dr One.
Yaroslavl, Samara and Saratov were the others, but all except Saratov have been reopened
1/2 Recently Ukraine has switched to 'alternative' oil targets in Russia, rather than just refineries, such as depots, pipelines, pumping stations and sometimes even gas stations with large fuel reserves.
But today a broad daylight strike around 1600km away from Ukraine.
2/2 This is the moment Ukraine's Dr One left a calling card at the Novo-Ufa refinery in Ufa.
When Russia's refineries this far away start getting hit, there are big problems for Russia, more problems at the pumps & with inflation soon after for the public.

So much happened Thursday I forgot to write about another anniversary
9/11 we know about.
I mentioned it was 3 years since Russia fled Kharkiv.
But it was also exactly 6 months since Trump demanded a ceasefire. Ukraine agreed.
Ex-Pres Clinton knows Putin never wanted peace.
I've written recently about Ukraine targeting, and likely hitting, the occupiers' air defence.
The problem is always exposing what's happened when Russia hides, and lies about, everything.
But military insider "Spy Dossier" reports 2 more air defence systems have been hit.
Sorry to spoil the mood, but look at this.
Someone's been in the room with the Donald.
One can tell this is genuinely him writing by the schoolboy writing and capitals.
And of course it's not Putin's war. Zelenskyy invaded himself 🤦
Bad scenes in Kharkiv region after what Ukraine says was another double-tap attack, killed 1 and injured 2.
In Borova village, just over the Oskil river, a strike destroyed a residential building.
As rubble was being sifted through, aerial bombs and MLRS attacked the same site.
Err.. what's going on in eastern Poland?
Lublin is close to the Ukraine border.
I doubt closing a main airport on a Saturday afternoon was scheduled.
Drone alert?
There was an air alert in the neighbouring Ukraine region of Volyn, and Lutsk city.
There are online rumours of Russian drones straying in to Poland and Romania, but I cannot confirm that. I suspect Poland's actions are preventive rather than reactive.
Another place in the free Donetsk region, that I don't think I've ever mentioned before in 43 months of all out war.
Novodonetske is west of Kramatorsk. Russia has already done its usual "peacekeeping" here, destroying everything belonging to people they pretend to care about
A Ukraine drone has brought down one of Russia's best, and most expensive, UAVs.
The multi-purpose Orion drone can carry four guided bombs or four missiles with a 250kg payload. Each one costs around $8m and can probably stay airborne for up to 24 hours.
In south-west Poland, a Ukrainian church has been vandalised.
The cross was actually cut from the top of the 🇺🇦Greek Catholic church in Legnica.
Some say there has been an increase in such racist incidents since the right-wing president was elected.
Two of Putin's Rosgvardia officers have been killed in a sabotage attack on Russia's railway in Oryol region.
Another Russian Guard is seriously wounded after an explosive device detonated on tracks near Maloarkhangelsk.
Tonight passengers are still having to switch to buses.
There was an explosion in Dnipro earlier, during a ballistic missile alert.
As always with the council in this city, nothing is ever reported promptly, leading to speculation & allegations of them hiding the truth
No news on injuries, or even if this fire was due to the attack
The Smolensk and Tver regions of Russia are under strongest attack by Ukraine's drones tonight.
There were also explosions in occupied Melitopol', but it may have been purely air defence.
Also explosions seen and heard in Kyiv tonight.
An oil depot if on fire. However, it's not due to enemy projectiles. Police and military officials suspect sabotage.
Another very long-range target may have been hit by Ukraine (unverified).
Supernova says the video shows Metafrax Chemicals in Gubakha (Perm' region), almost 2,000km away from the Ukraine border, if on foot (shorter in the air)
Metafrax products can be used in explosives.

Day 1300 of Putin's war.
Another 100 days of fighting completed.
We are no nearer peace than we were 100 days ago.
Almost 200 days ago Trump demanded a 30-day unconditional ceasefire.
Not surprising as he started it, it's always Putin stopping peace.
Here's Monday's daily🧵
If you were busy over the weekend, click the link to see all Sunday's stories.
It was a day when Ukraine had to quickly repair a main railway line after a massive explosion, but they also managed to make multiple hits on Russia's rail and oil industries
Day 1297 of Russia's imperialist war, but the senior bully keeps being given a bloody nose by the junior school kid next door. How embarrassing for the "world's second greatest army" and more 'punches' thrown by Ukraine overnight..
There was so much in yesterday's thread.
Russia hitting churches, Ukraine striking a boat.
The US helping Belarus, which helps🇷🇺 & Trump questioning if the drone attack on Poland was a mistake.
Thursday ended with a Ukraine drone surge into Russia:
Here we go then, another day in Russia's imperial war on Ukraine
Too many "allies" of Ukraine lacked vision, understanding or balls, or all three and merely tried to stop the punching, while the US now rather sadistically aids the killing while shouting "peace"
It's Monday's🧵
Day 1293 has started quietly, but with politicians back in offices, there may be developments later.
Sunday was a day of violence, recrimination and clearing up after the worst single night's attack in world history, in terms of projectiles.
Review here:
Day 1292 of Ukraine's fight for survival, and Sunday begins with Russia again hitting civilians across the country in another massive attack on a sleeping population.
It's gone 5am in🇺🇦, no-one's able to sleep yet, and I'm starting another daily thread before going to bed...
Saturday exploded into life, and death, at night as Russia began what proved to be an enormous launch of drones, then missiles, at various cities across Ukraine.
The scene in Kyiv this morning.
Just before dawn, the skyline is filled with smoke after more terrorist strikes by Russia.
Terrorism and nukes are all Putin has left.
TACO Trump is the weakest US President ever, yet again failing to honour his deadline, refusing to stop Putin.
