THREAD: @Brown ’s Federal Settlement doesn’t do enough to tackle antisemitism.
CAMERA is demanding answers.
1/ In July, the Dept. of Education, DOJ & HHS announced a settlement with Brown University over antisemitism complaints, ensuring extra security for Jewish events and partnerships with Israeli academics.
While it sounds promising, this deal barely scratches the surface…
2/ The rot runs deep at this Ivy League college, and CAMERA has long been forced to document how its Center for Middle East Studies has normalized hostility to Jews and Israel.
@dmlitman @brown 4/ 📅 In Dec 2023, a CAMERA report uncovered how numerous situations at Brown: -Cast Jews as a “colonizers” and erased their history of peoplehood -Used antisemitic tropes + blood libels -Justified + celebrated violence against Israelis
@dmlitman @brown 5/ 📅Then in July 2024 Brown’s own Beshara Doumani had just finished running Birzeit University in Ramallah, a campus where Hamas & PFLP student blocs marched with mock bombs and glorified suicide attacks.
Few familiar with his record would be surprised by this…
@dmlitman @brown 6/ By Sept 2024, student activists were specifically demanding that @BrownUniversity divest from Israel. CAMERA analysis of their proposal found 45 false claims from “Israel launched the war” to made-up charges of genocide. camera.org/article/bds-li…
@dmlitman @brown @BrownUniversity 7/ In July 2025, under a federal settlement, Brown promised better security at Hillel and a few new academic ties with 🇮🇱.
But physical safety is a BARE MINIMUM.
Brown’s students, Jewish and otherwise, need classrooms free from indoctrination and hostility.
@dmlitman @brown @BrownUniversity 8/ That’s why, last week, CAMERA'S @dmlitman filed an FOIA request 👇
@dmlitman @brown @BrownUniversity 9/ We want to see the full record…
Investigator notes, communications, draft agreements, and every single complaint tied to Brown’s Center for Middle East Studies and its Birzeit links.
@dmlitman @brown @BrownUniversity 10/ Our message is simple: @BrownUniversity has a problem with antisemitism, and its students deserve truth, transparency, and real accountability.

THREAD: The ‘International Association of Genocide Scholars’ sounds serious.
It's not.
$30 buys you membership, dissent is banned, & yet @abcnews reported its anti-Israel vote as fact.
1/ Longtime IAGS member Sara Brown has revealed the group broke its own rules:
🔹 No debate was allowed
🔹 No town hall was held
🔹 Dissenting voices were blocked from its listserv
🔹 Authors of the resolution were kept secret
2/ This isn’t scholarship... It’s one-sided activism.
As Brown put it, eliminating discussion is “the tactic of activists, not of scholars.”
But you’d never know that from ABC’s glowing coverage.
⚠️Today, Sept 1, @Avaaz & Reporters Without Borders are coordinating over 150 media outlets in at least 50 countries to push a scripted narrative framing Israel as deliberately killing journalists and blocking press freedom.
⚠️This is a centrally organized campaign, timed to influence UN votes on Palestinian statehood later this month [screenshots below].
⚠️Instructions from RSF and @Avaaz for how media outlets should format their publications of the campaign...
THREAD: Countless media outlets are whitewashing terrorists as “journalists.”
This lie endangers real reporters, and rewrites history to demonize 🇮🇱 Israel.
1/ In April 2025, Foreign Policy magazine claimed Israel’s war with Hamas “has killed more journalists than WWI, WWII, Korea, Vietnam, Afghanistan, and Yugoslavia combined.”
THREAD: Dara Horn’s seminal 2021 essay collection "People Love Dead Jews" argues that the world often prefers to view Jewish people as victims of history, not as living people with rights today.
The United Nations' record is just one painful example of this...
2/ Israel is a democracy that has been engaged in multiple defensive wars.
But the UN has held over 20 urgent sessions on 🇮🇱-more than on Syria’s civil war, China’s Uyghur camps, or Russia’s invasion of Ukraine.
3/ But when Jews are slaughtered or held hostage by antisemitic terrorists, the UN seems far less concerned than it does with its project to demonize Israel.
