While many actors rely solely on their film careers, SRK has mastered the art of making money beyond Bollywood, turning his fame into a billion-dollar brand.

1) Red Chillies Entertainment- In 2002, when most actors were focusing on acting, Shah Rukh Khan launched Red Chillies
Entertainment, a film production and VFX company. This move was nothing short of genius. The first film under this new banner, 'Main Hoon Na', was a massive hit, followed by 'Om Shanti Om' in 2007, a big-budget film that earned over ₹150 crore, establishing Red
Chillies as a major production house in Bollywood.
Red Chillies Entertainment also expanded into visual effects (VFX), becoming one of the leading VFX studios in the industry, contributing to major films like 'Krrish 3' and 'Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2'. The company diversified into
advertising, web series, and digital content.

2) Partnership with Netflix- in 2016, Red Chillies & Netflix have signed a long-term deal that will give Netflix's 86 million plus viewers exclusive access to SRK's films. The deal will also give Netflix's subscribers exclusive video
on-demand to other films made by Red Chillies Entertainment, new and old. SRK's vision to partner with Netflix was to expand the global reach of movies through his production house, gaining competitive edge in the rapidly growing Indian market & provide worldwide access to his
Content. "Netflix has shown that Indian stories have a global audience and we would love to use this platform and its reach to tell more stories," said Khan.

"We believe in the global vision of Red Chillies to create groundbreaking content out of India," said Netflix founder &
CEO Reed Hastings.

3) Partnership with Sony to enter the PS2, PS3 market- most of the actors launch films with the aim of profits only, but this sharp man launched movie in collaboration with Sony. Red Chillies Entertainment, partnered with Sony toRa.One
create a video game based film. In Oct 2011, Playstation launched 'Ra-One the game' based on SRK's film. PS2 was for the Indian market & PS3 was for the International market. Playstation country Manager Atindriya Bose told ET that, "This will be the 1st Bollywood title on PS3
platform making available for International audience. SRK said, he was extremely happy to interact with the Sony team to develop the game.

4) Kolkata Knight Riders- Recognizing the risk of relying solely on film production, Shah Rukh Khan looked for other ventures. In 2008, he
saw an opportunity in the newly launched Indian Premier League (IPL). He, along with Juhi Chawla and Jay Mehta, bought the Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) franchise for approximately ₹100 crore.

Despite a shaky start in the first three seasons, a strategic decision to bring in
Gautam Gambhir as captain in 2011 turned the team's fortunes around. KKR won the IPL title in 2012 and again in 2014, further under Shreyas Iyer's captaincy they won the 2024 title, transforming into a global brand with significant value and consistent earnings.
Diversification
in Cricket- SRK expanded beyond KKR, in sports portfolios by acquiring teams in other leagues such as- Trinbago Knight Riders in the Caribbean Premier League (CPL).
Trinbago Knight Riders women's team, which won its inaugural tournament.
Abu Dhabi Knight Riders in the UAE's
International League T20.
Los Angeles Knight Riders in America's Major League Cricket (MLC).
This global network of teams has made the Knight Riders group a significant entity in international cricket, valued at over ₹9400 crore.

5) Real Estate & other investments- Beyond films
& cricket, SRK has made huge investments in real estate. His iconic Mumbai residence, 'Mannat', is valued at over ₹200 crore. He also owns a sea-facing villa in Palm Jumeirah, Dubai, gifted by the developer Nakheel, worth over ₹100 crore, and a luxurious apartment in London's
Park Lane, valued at over ₹100 crore.

His property portfolio is estimated to be worth over ₹3000 crore. He has also invested in various startups & sectors like technology and education, including:
• Nourish: A health and nutrition mobile app.
• MirrAR: A platform for live
streaming and audience interaction.
• KidZania: A global chain of children's entertainment parks where kids can explore different careers.

6) SRK's brand endorsements & advertising deals- SRK is the face of over 40 top brands, making him one of the highest-paid celebrities in
brand endorsements. Some of the biggest brands he has endorsed include: Byjus, Pepsi, TAG Heuer, Hyundai etc. Each brand deal earns him ₹10-15 crore, with annual endorsement revenue crossing ₹200 crore.

7) A Smart Financial Strategy- SRK adopted a profit-sharing model for his
films, moving away from fixed acting fees. This strategy proved highly successful, especially with films like 'Pathaan', 'Jawan', and 'Dunki', where he earned significantly more than a standard fee.
