A Ukrainian "Baba Yaga" mega drone killed Volodymyr Leontyev — Moscow’s puppet mayor of occupied Nova Kakhovka.

He's one of Kyiv’s most wanted collaborators for torture and abductions. The strike blew up his car near Zaporizhzhia. He died in hospital soon after — Times. 1/ Image
A Kyiv court sentenced Leontyev in absentia to 15 years for ordering Russian troops to abduct and torture Oleksandr Shapovalov, mayor of nearby Beryslav, and journalist Oleh Baturin.

He helped occupation forces hunt pro-Ukrainian residents. 2/
Ukraine’s military intelligence vows to keep targeting collaborators.

After agents killed Mykhailo Hrytsai in June, a DIU officer told Kyiv Independent: There’re still plenty of such targets in the occupied territories. We will get to each and every one. 3/
Other collaborators met the same fate. Gunmen shot Oleksiy Kovalev, an ex-MP who joined Russian forces in Kherson, in his home in 2022.

In 2023 assassins gunned down Illia Kyva, a pro-Moscow MP, outside Moscow. 4/
Leontyev’s killing coincided with a nuclear emergency at the Zaporizhzhia plant. Zelenskyy said Russian shelling severed the last power line.

He warned that only diesel generators now cool the reactors and that the situation is critical and a threat to everyone. 5/
The IAEA said Zaporizhzhia has gone more than a week without external power — the longest blackout since the invasion began.

In nearby Nikopol, authorities distributed iodine tablets in case of radiation release. 6X

Former Lithuanian FM Landsbergis warns Putin’s hybrid war is driving Europe toward a “Pearl Harbor” as NATO stays passive.

He says the West will wake up only when escalation is impossible to ignore — and by then, it may be too late, The Telegraph. 1/ Image
Lithuania closed its main airport Saturday after unidentified hot air balloons entered its airspace.

In Poland, a drone incursion triggered NATO Article 4 talks after alliance jets shot them down — the first direct military engagement with Moscow. 2/
Landsbergis warns future provocations could trigger Article 5, drawing NATO into war with Russia.

He mocked Europe’s inaction, saying it will claim, “we tried to protect Russia’s money,” when World War III begins. 3/

Reuters writes that Moscow is hosting the largest-ever North Korean art exhibition outside Pyongyang — a new sign of how fast Moscow and Pyongyang are growing closer, not only militarily but culturally.

Discussions around Tomahawks are quite similar to what happened with ATACMS. Will see.

White House is weighing sending Tomahawk missiles to Ukraine — a move Putin calls a new stage of escalation, FP. They can reach Moscow and mark a shift from Trump’s earlier stance. 1/ Image
JD Vance confirmed Washington is looking at the sale of Tomahawks after Zelenskyy’s request.

The US will also share intelligence to guide strikes on Russia’s oil sector, already hit by drones that cut refining capacity by up to 40%. 2/
Tomahawks carry 450 kg warheads and would multiply Ukraine’s strike power.

The US has built nearly 9,000 since the 1980s and could send around 200 older missiles without touching core reserves. 3/

In Czech, pro-Russian right-wing ANO party of Andrej Babiš won parliamentary elections with 34.5% of vote, securing 80/200 seats.

Babiš on Czech ammunition initiative for Ukraine: It should be organized by NATO and transparent, if there's war, nobody should make money from it, — Suspilne. 1/
[The Czech Republic is a member of NATO, and is responsible for transparency, as it is the initiator of this mechanism.] 2/
Babiš on Ukraine's accession to the EU: You are not prepared for the EU.

We have to end the war first, and of course we can cooperate with Ukraine, but you are not ready for the EU. 3/

Moldova 2.0 didn't happen. The Czech Republic may soon join Slovakia and Hungary as anti-European agitators.

In Czech parliamentary elections, the pro-Russian ANO party is winning. With leader Andrej Babiš opposing support for Ukraine and Ukrainian refugees.

1/ Image
With 99% of the ballots counted, ANO has about 34.8%, and the pro-European party “SPOLU” of current Prime Minister Petr Fiala has about 23%.

2/
ANO will not have a majority in parliament, with 84 of the 101 seats needed. They will be looking for a coalition.

The only options are the far-right SPD (7.8%) and the Motorists' Party (6.8%). Both have pro-Russian and right-wing views.

Europe is getting a new weapon against Putin’s drones.

Swedish firm Nordic Air Defence is building Kreuger 100 - a low-cost mini-missile that rams drones out of the sky.

It’s electric, kinetic, and safe for cities and could become a core part of the EU’s air defense. - The Telegraph.

1/Image
Each Kreuger 100 costs about $5,000 roughly 16,000 times cheaper than launching a fighter jet.

It hunts drones with infrared sensors and destroys them by impact, not explosives - no shrapnel, no fire risk.

Perfect for airports, power plants, and public areas.

2/
The missile can launch from a hand-held cannon, rifle-style device, or vehicle mount.

It can protect convoys or infrastructure from cheap FPV drones that are hard to jam or shoot down.

A new tool for layered defense - quick, light, and reusable.
