Trump is not some sort of hero, deserving of the Nobel Peace Prize, for this so-called peace deal. Trump is personally responsible for all the tens of thousands Palestinian deaths since he has been in office, as Biden before him.

Both Biden and Trump could have immediately stopped the genocidal massacre of Palestinian civilians, and their starvation, by simply threatening to cut off US military and other aid, as Trump did with Ukraine.

In fact, it this difference between Trump's attitude to Israel and Ukraine, that nullifies his claim to be a peacemaker. Sure, Trump has had to reverse his attitude to Ukraine, after it became apparent, that Putin was the obstacle.

Of course, I welcome a ceasefire, the return of Israeli hostages, by Hamas. But progressives have been calling for this, for a very long time. I find it weird, that Trump/MAGA falsely assumes that progressives support Biden et al. It is not right vs left as the liars imply.

Biden and the Democratic leadership, have never been left wing, and nor are most progressives, simplistically left wing. If they support left wing socialists, it's because they were the only ones offering progressive policy.

At one time, even conventional Conservatives, offered progressive policy, even if less so than the actual political left. As a climate and environment activist for over 50 years. I can say, that left wing/socialist policy, on the environment, has not been very good.

As I say, for 40+ years, it has been impossible to work out what neoliberalism, actually was, since politicians started denying its existence, and pretending it was a conspiracy theory, despite it once being an open ideology, that went covert and dark, as the public hated it.

Returning, to the Palestinian situation. It's impossible to understand the total Western deference to Israeli policy, as it is obviously much more than Israel is the US's puppy in the Middle East. It's even more dark and covert than neoliberalism.

Most of the public have no idea, that Christian Zionists, in the US, alone, outnumber the global Jewish population, who are not all Zionists, over 2:1. That's it. Most Zionists, are not Jewish, and many Jewish people oppose Zionism.

This is further complicated, because not all Jewish Zionists, have the same outlook, and the agenda of right wing extremists like Netanyahu, is not Zionism per se. This makes any sort of analysis, very difficult.

I have the greatest respect for Jewish people, even those wrapped up in misguidedly supporting Netanyahu's nasty policy, because they are misled, and gaslighted, just like the public is misled in the West, into supporting neoliberal politics.

The true nature of the elite who runs our societies, is not a single entity, but interlinking, circles of powerful cliques, vying with each other for power and control, against the public interest. The best way of understanding this is fuzzy logic.

Previously, in logic, set theory, put things into one category or the other, with dichotomies. But reality is not like this. So Fuzz Set Theory, to give it its proper name, has degrees of membership, not an absolute dichotomy i.e. one or the other.

Fuzzy set theory, best describes the interlinking, power cliques that run our societies. Where they have common interests, and different competing interests. They can be as thick as thieves against the public, whilst engaging in their own power struggles, with each other.

This is very dangerous, because none of those in these power cliques, really have any idea of how it all works. It has developed the structure of an entity. But it is an entity, now one is in control of, and they don't know how it works.
