Says enemies failed to weaken the country militarily, so they now try to sow internal division, and urges Iranians to stay united.

He says: “Of course, they have agents inside: Zionist elements, American elements, and also those who, out of negligence, with their words and writings, contribute to this. Their goal is to create division among the people, to foster multiple conflicting voices within the country.

But today, thank God, the country is united. The people are united. Differences of opinion exist—political and social differences—but when it comes to defending the system, defending the country, and standing against the enemy, the people are united. And this unity harms the enemy; this unity blocks their aggression. That is what they want to destroy.

So be vigilant: those who speak, those who write, those who research, those who post on social media must be aware of what they are doing.”

“On the 23rd of Khordad, Iran was attacked, and one day later, on the 24th of Khordad, a group of American agents met in a European capital and began discussing a replacement for the Islamic Republic.

I heard this was also said on television a few days ago. We were informed of this at the time. They were so confident that this attack would shake the foundation of the Islamic Republic in the country, so confident that it would turn the people against the Islamic Republic.

They were so sure that one day after the attack began, they sat down and discussed which government and what kind of government would rule Iran after the Islamic Republic; they even appointed a king, decided on a shah, and chose someone to be the king of Iran. This is how they imagined Iran.

They thought that this attack would create a rift between the government & the people, weaken the gov, and that they would be able to impose their malicious goals and carry out their plans.

I insist on this, we have said it many times, I insist on repeating it: The Iranian nation, by standing firm alongside the armed forces, the government, and the system, dealt a strong blow to all of them.

Among this foolish group who gathered to find a replacement for the Islamic Republic in Iran, there was even an Iranian, shame on him.”

We must be grateful that in this current period, the honorable President is showing special attention and commitment to issues of education and schooling.

I have repeatedly stated that whatever we invest in education is truly an investment — not an expense.
It’s like creating a foundation for multiple returns in the future.

Fortunately, the honorable President believes in this principle, and the respected Minister is also one of the distinguished figures in the field of education, fully familiar with the sector’s challenges.

These are valuable opportunities, and we hope they will be used wisely.

[He names Pezeshkian honourable because it’s customary in Farsi language; it doesn’t necessarily mean anything; he is the president of our country regardless of anything]

Education is a governmental institution, and it is the duty of an Islamic government to raise youth and adolescents — at least up to a certain level, such as through the end of high school — with knowledge, skills, professions, moral teachings, and strong faith.

This is a responsibility.

The idea that has occasionally surfaced — even within the education system itself, as I recall — suggesting that parts of the education system should be outsourced to various groups or entities, effectively creating a fragmented, feudal-like system within education, is completely unacceptable.

This makes no sense whatsoever.

These two elements — the teacher and the textbook — together are essentially the backbone of the entire education system.

The textbook is extremely important.
I’ve addressed the issue of textbooks several times, both publicly in meetings with teachers and education officials, and privately with the Ministry of Education in the past.

I’ve emphasized and recommended improvements. Some steps have been taken, for example, they might add the name of an Islamic scholar to the book, or include a few pages from the US embassy espionage documents, which we had previously suggested.

These are necessary, but not sufficient.

The textbook must be able to shape and develop the student.

First and foremost, a textbook must be engaging.
If you speak to today’s youth and students, whether in elementary or high school, you’ll find that they do not find textbooks enjoyable or appealing.

The content must be engaging — even the most complex scientific topics can be presented in a simple, sweet, and appealing manner.

We’ve spent years in teaching, listening, and learning. I know that heavy academic material can be conveyed in a clear, enjoyable, and accessible way — that’s one point regarding the content.

The 2nd is the visual and physical design of the book.
Its layout and appearance should be done with creativity and aesthetic sense, following principles of beauty and design.
Right now, our textbooks lack visual appeal — their design and layout are not attractive.

Therefore, one of the most important topics in education is the school textbook.

🇮🇷| Ayatollah Khamenei, leader of Iran, on talks with US in Oman:

“Regarding talks in Oman. These negotiations are just one of many responsibilities of the Foreign Ministry — and that’s the key point I want to emphasize. The ministry has dozens of duties, and this is only one of them.

Don’t tie the country’s entire fate to these talks. That’s my main message. The mistake we made during the JCPOA process must not be repeated here. Back then, we conditioned everything in the country on the outcome of the negotiations — and that was a mistake.

When the whole nation’s progress is made contingent on talks, investors pull back, waiting to see how the negotiations end. But these negotiations are just one task among many at the Foreign Ministry.

The country must continue its work — in industry, agriculture, services, culture, development, and especially in critical areas like the southeast of the country. These matters must be pursued seriously and independently of the ongoing negotiations in Oman.

Also, let’s neither be overly optimistic nor overly pessimistic about these talks. They’re part of a calculated decision and are being carried out accordingly. The initial steps have gone well, and moving forward, things must be followed closely with precision and discipline.

The red lines are clear — both for us and for the other side. The talks may succeed or they may not. We’re not overly hopeful, nor hopeless. As for the other side — we don’t trust them and know who we’re dealing with.

But we have full confidence in our own abilities. We know we’re capable. We know how to move strategically — and that’s what matters.”

The country must also carry on with its own responsibilities across various sectors — industry, agriculture, services, culture, development, and in special areas with defined priorities, such as the issues in the southeast region of the country.

These matters must be pursued with seriousness, and they have no connection to the ongoing negotiations currently taking place in Oman.

🇮🇷| Ayatollah Khamenei: Expanding trade with neighbors and economic hubs such as China, Russia, and India is a good measure

• The issue of expanding trade relations is one of my strong points. With neighboring countries as a priority, with countries that are economic hubs in Asia like China, Russia, and India, these are economic hubs, smooth out economic relations with them. Of course, some of them are very difficult, we know that; but any difficult task can be accomplished with great effort and good planning.

• The issue of trade with neighbors, with economic poles, with diverse countries, with Africa itself is very good, and these contacts that the esteemed President has with the heads of these countries on the occasion of Eid and the like, these are very good, these are groundbreaking, the activity of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs is a very good activity, these trips and visits.
