SIMPLE FACTS:

1. Your party controls all three branches of government. Democrats could not shut it down, nor can they reopen it.

2. Trump admitted he WANTED this shutdown.

3. HE TOLD YOU AND THE REST OF THE @GOP TO DO IT AND YOU OBEYED HIM LIKE THE SPINELESS TRAITORS YOU ARE.

Here’s what happened:

1. House Republicans pushed through an extremist reconciliation bill that has poison-pill provisions — including one that lets ACA subsidies expire at year’s end, yanking affordable health coverage from ~15 million people and hiking costs for millions more

2. The bill also included deep cuts to programs that tens of millions of Americans rely on to LIVE like SNAP, Medicaid, and renewable-energy investments — all designed to appease the MAGA hardliners and Freedom Caucus (even though MAGA actually gets screwed the *most* by these).

3. Senate Republicans then REFUSED TO MOVE IT FORWARD not because they disagree with the substance (they don’t), but because they know IT’S POLITICAL SUICIDE to be on record voting for it, ESPECIALLY if they push it through with ZERO DEMOCRATIC VOTES (that’s how many there are).

4. Instead of negotiating a bipartisan deal to keep the lights on (which could’ve passed easily), REPUBLICANS SHUT DOWN THE GOVERNMENT — then blamed Dems to dodge owning their toxic bill, protect Trump from the Epstein files, & pave the way to purge thousands of federal employees

5. Republicans have proven that they have no interest in nor ability to legislate, govern or represent the American people. They have also COMPLETELY ABDICATED THEIR CONSTITUTIONALLY DESIGNATED DUTY TO CONTROL APPROPRIATIONS (FUNDS) AND SERVE AS A CHECK ON THE EXECUTIVE BRANCH

6. In doing so, they have COLLECTIVELY PERJURED THEIR OATHS OF OFFICE, WHICH ARE TO UPHOLD AND DEFEND THE CONSTITUTION OF THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA AGAINST ALL ENEMIES, FOREIGN AND DOMESTIC, “SO HELP ME GOD”

7. The @GOP isn’t a governing party.
It’s a CRIME AND PEDOPHILE SYNDICATE masquerading as one — waging war on the very democracy they swore to defend and betraying the very people they are supposed to represent.

And history will remember who stood by and who STOOD UP.
