THE MISSIONARY MYSTERY

Readers, I have a confession. I've really struggled with the question of just how bad missionary position is and I'd like to get it right in the article. But because the data quality is so low, I have to be very vague to avoid giving wrong answers...

The problem is that the fairly large set of hentai videos I studied has basically NO missionary, but we know that can't be right. Logically, it's a position that just doesn't work well on video.

In surveys men seem to rate missionary reasonably well. But when I looked into surveys, they were all really bad quality. Usually they didn't break missionary out from any other front position. The one that did and had a big sample size gave some really implausible results.

For instance, in this academic survey of 10k people, men rated cunnilingus as more pleasurable than missionary. How does that make sense? People just fill in whatever.

Other academic surveys ask undergrads. Sorry kids, but undergrads don't have enough experience to answer these kinds of questions.

Logic says that missionary offers men a bad view AND conventional wisdom says that it's boring.

Hard to put all this together.

Thus, I've had to be vague and say that the only thing we really know is that missionary is less popular with men than with women, and perhaps should be deemphasized when you're trying to seduce.

I suspect that missionary is worse than this, but I might be wrong, and I don't want to say things that I can't support well. So, unless one of my readers has a brilliant idea, the value of missionary in seduction is going to remain mostly a mystery.

I view the significant variants like tabletop as completely different positions.
