@AGPamBondi @TheJusticeDept @CAgovernor Yeah, I don't think it's right for Newsome to intentionally distort the will of the California voters, just because Texas did it first.
Two corrupt states isn't better than one, it's worse. This is where we are though. Picking leaders based on their willingness to abuse power.
@AGPamBondi @TheJusticeDept @CAgovernor The logic here is pretty bullshit too.
Tit for tat would only make sense if the parties were arguing co-owners of a country, instead of public servants and their organizations.
@AGPamBondi @TheJusticeDept @CAgovernor Political parties are not a necessary part of our system of government. George Washington even warned about them in his farewell address.
It seems pretty on point for this era.
@AGPamBondi @TheJusticeDept @CAgovernor "The alternate domination of one faction over
another, sharpened by the spirit of revenge natural to party dissension, which in different ages and countries has perpetrated the most horrid enormities, is itself a frightful despotism.
@AGPamBondi @TheJusticeDept @CAgovernor But this leads at length to a more
formal and permanent despotism. The disorders and miseries which result gradually incline the minds of men to seek security and repose in the absolute power of an individual;
@AGPamBondi @TheJusticeDept @CAgovernor and sooner or later the chief of some prevailing faction, more able or more fortunate than his competitors, turns this disposition to the purposes of his own elevation on the ruins of public liberty."
