We keep talking about "Russian hybrid warfare" but what we are facing is a deliberate pincer designed to break states without ever declaring war. Four blades close simultaneously: institutional capture, disinformation & psyops, legal attacks, and physical acts of sabotage. 1/🧵
2/ First axis: institutional capture.

Moscow cultivates political parties, media outlets, churches, business lobbies, and "cultural" fronts that gradually bend key nodes of our own systems toward Russian interests while retaining plausible deniability.
3/ This capture often runs through oligarch money, energy dependence, and elite networks rather than open ideology. Intelligence-linked orgs, "patriotic" NGOs, and Orthodox-aligned initiatives provide cover for recruitment, financing, and narrative shaping inside target states.
4/ Second axis: Disinformation and Psychological Operations.

Russian services treat information as a battlefield, fusing state media, troll farms, bots, & proxy influencers into long-running campaigns that shape perceptions, polarize societies, and erode trust in institutions.
5/ From downplaying atrocities like Bucha to seeding conspiracies about NATO "biolabs", the objective is to fracture coalitions and reframe aggressor as victim.

These narratives are iterated in real time, tested across platforms, & localized for each audience.
6/ Important: Information ops are synchronized with events on the ground.

Cyberattacks, battlefield developments, and even terrorist or sabotage incidents are immediately wrapped in counternarratives designed to confuse attribution, blame victims, and paralyze decisionmakers.
7/ Third axis: Legal attacks, also known as "lawfare".

Internally, Russia uses foreign agent laws, the accusation of "extremism," and draconian defamation laws to crush independent media, NGOs, and opposition, turning its own legal system into a weaponized filter of reality.
8/ Externally, Kremlin-linked actors and their allies deploy lawsuits, regulatory complaints, and strategic defamation cases to tie up journalists, researchers, and activists in years of costly litigation.
9/ The purpose is not to win on merit but to raise the price of speaking out & to launder disinformation through court filings and "official" processes. This also provides opportunity for disinfo producers to present themselves as "fact checkers" to own/seed particular narratives
10/ The legal pincer complements the institutional and info lines. Captured or intimidated institutions cite restrictive laws+pending cases as excuses to deplatform critics, cut funding to NGOs, and sanitize debate in ways that align with Russian interests but appear "procedural"
11/ Fourth axis: Acts of sabotage.

Russian military intelligence and affiliated networks have been linked to bombings, fires, rail derailments, infrastructure tampering, and plots against weapons factories and logistics hubs across Europe.
12/ New assessments show big uptick in Russian sabotage & subversion against energy, transport, & military targets via recruited locals, criminal proxies, or disposable agents. Undersea cables, pipelines, & warehouses are targets for physical disruption + signaling vulnerability.
13/ Again, this is integrated with the info domain.

After a sabotage incident, Russian-linked channels flood the space with alternative theories, false flags, and blame-shifting to Ukraine or domestic "extremists," which muddies attribution and delays a unified response.
14/ When you zoom out, the synergy is the point.

Institutional capture gives Moscow levers inside our systems; disinfo and psyops shape how societies interpret events; legal attacks neutralize watchdogs; sabotage creates controlled crises to be exploited by the other three.
15/ Viewing each incident in isolation: one lawsuit here, one fake news cycle there, a mysterious crash... is a strategic mistake. Taken together, they describe a coherent campaign to degrade our resilience, slow decision making, and normalize their coercion as background noise.
16/ Countering this pincer means building cross-domain defenses.

We need to shield institutions from capture, harden our info ecosystems, reform our legal frameworks against lawfare, and start treating acts of sabotage as part of a strategic pattern, not random crime.
17/ If we only react tactically to each blade, we’ll miss the hand that is closing the entire grip.

Alaska Airlines Flight 1282 revealed a deeper problem: Boeing couldn't identify who reinstalled the door plug that blew off mid-flight. The NTSB found no names, no records, no footage.

Similar gaps echo across other airlines and incidents. 🧵
The 737 MAX-9 lost its door plug minutes after takeoff. Nine passengers sustained minor injuries. Boeing admitted it had no record of who performed the door work. 25 unidentified personnel, overwritten video, missing oversight.
Heathrow, March 2023: a 777 returned for emergency inspection after an engine oil system anomaly; no casualties. Logs lacked technician IDs. Surveillance footage for the repair period was "lost" due to a storage error, preventing verification of who handled the engine system.

THREAD: The Trump admin is systematically defying federal court orders at an unprecedented rate. Of 165 cases where judges ruled against Trump, approximately 57 cases (35%) involved the administration defying, ignoring, or circumventing judicial orders.

1/🧵 Unroll at the end👇
VENEZUELAN DEPORTATIONS: Judge Boasberg found probable cause of criminal contempt in April when Trump deported alleged Tren de Aragua gang members w/o due process despite a restraining order. The admin hastily sent them to CECOT prison before they could contest removals in court.
ICE DETENTION: Trump repeatedly violated court orders requiring due process hearings for detained immigrants. Judge William H. Orrick issued directives that the admin circumvented thru procedural delays and maneuvers-denying detained people their constitutional right to hearings.

Let's talk about the government shutdown happening RIGHT NOW and who's REALLY shutting it down.

The GOP says Democrats are blocking it.

But here's what's actually happening... 🧵
FACT: Republicans control the House AND the Senate. They have the power to pass a budget. So if they truly don't need Democrats, they can pass one.

They're not. Why?

Because they've ENGINEERED this shutdown to accomplish things they couldn't do in normal times.
Here's the math: The Senate needs 60 votes to pass a bill. Republicans have 51. They need 9 Dem votes. Instead of negotiating, Trump told Republicans: "Don't even bother dealing with them." He REFUSES to compromise.

That's not Dems blocking, that's Repubs choosing confrontation.

Everyone's busy debating past White House renovations; a distraction bad actors want!

But Trump's new ballroom more closely mirrors Hitler's Reich Chancellery: scale/timing/symbolism echo a dark legacy, not traditional American architecture.

What are we really looking at? 🧵👇 The East Wing of the White House (L) in a satellite photo captured by Planet Labs PBC on Sep 26, 2025 along with a photo captured on Oct. 23, 2025. Built in record time by his architect Albert Speer, Hitler’s New Reich Chancellery was a monumental space made to impress/intimidate. Its ballroom was richly decorated w/ marble & fine woods. It was a grand diplomatic reception area symbolizing Nazi power. Image
That ballroom and a grand reception hall were added to the Chancellery by architects Paul Troost & Leonhard Gall in 1935.

Lavish & vast, they were used mainly for official state events, and were part of the larger complex with military and underground bunkers beneath. Image

Confused victim of MAGA disinformation
The large number of bots on this thread demonstrate my point. MAGA disinformation kills!

A Dilation & Curettage is the standard procedure used to remove a fetus from the womb after premature death. The baby dying does not change pregnancy status. Only voiding the womb does that.
Please Google this procedure and understand what has been taken from us under the law.

Making abortion illegal is evil, and so are MAGA ideologies.
