These are seven days that shatter the 'Nakba' myth

What actually happened after the 1947 UN partition vote is nothing like the story told in activist circles today.

Thread ⬇️⬇️⬇️
All week we've seen people repeat the ‘Nakba’ narrative as if Jewish militias suddenly attacked passive Arab communities and drove them out.

But the days after partition tell a story of murderous Arab violence and mobilization. And I will use mostly Arab newspapers to show it.
The morning after the UN vote, the pages of Ad-Difa and Al-Wahda were saturated with threats, anti-Jewish invective, and demands for an 'Islamic Front' to rise.

Al-Wahda’s headline: “O Arabs, the West has chosen your enemies. Will you remain stunned, or will you prepare?” Image
By day two Arab violence had erupted throughout the mandate. The Palestine Post reported seven Jews murdered in multiple attacks on 30 November. Image
Look at Ad-Difa’s own front page on the same date.
Its headline describes the murder of Jews. The article described bus ambushes around Jerusalem, attacks in Lod, Tulkarm, Haifa and Jaffa

The war had begun - and it had begun with Arab-initiated violence. Image
Day three. The front page of Falastin is entirely about Arab mobilisation and anti-Jewish actions. The newspaper boasted about anti-Jewish pogroms throughout the Middle East:

homes burned in Aleppo,
attacks in Baghdad and Cairo,
shootings in Jerusalem, Haifa, and Jaffa. Image
On the same day, the Palestine Post described Jewish calls for restraint. It also reported that Arab families were leaving mixed neighborhoods to avoid the violence their own side was generating - a detail that matters deeply for refugee debates. Image
Day four - Arab newspapers continue to chronicle attacks - and celebrate them. Ad-Difa’s front page led with ongoing Arab violence and noted that 49 Jews had now been killed - a cumulative total reported without any suggestion of regret. Image
Day five: HaTsofe reports on the start of Jewish defense as Jews were killed in 'unprovoked attacks.' The article included striking details:

Residential Jewish streets attacked,
Families trapped in homes,
Jewish houses burned,
Snipers targeting rescue workers. Image
Day Six: The Palestine Post reports attacks on remote Jewish settlements and notes Arab-on-Arab violence - the murder of a man who 'broke ranks' by not supporting the uprising. This coercive internal atmosphere is erased in modern ‘Nakba’ narratives. Image
Day seven. A call from Egyptian students for battle. They pledged - in blood - not to return 'except victorious or as martyrs.'

The seeds of the irregular armies that within weeks would invade and attack Jewish outposts. Al Wahda also boasted of attacks on innocent Jews in Aden Image
These seven days show the reality behind the ‘Nakba’ myth: Arab leaders chose violence from the start, and the region followed. The tragedy that came after wasn’t the result of a Jewish plan, but of a war Arab elites launched - and lost.

We all heard the "tortured toddler" story - it went viral. A demonising claim about Israeli soldiers.

So I did what no mainstream outlet appears to have done. I examined the evidence!

And the whole thing soon fell apart.

Thread ⬇️⬇️⬇️
First (as I posted last week) I found the father’s Facebook page. His profile pic is of him holding a firearm.

The account even references military training - in Gaza, that means affiliation with a terrorist group.

The Palestinians want you to think he just took a wrong turn. Image
All the media stories pushed the same line. He wanted to go shopping, but took a wrong turn.

This is the area he was stopped. Open fields. No shops. No residential confusion.

At what point does someone realise they are not heading towards groceries? Why no media pushback? Image

Exclusive: Why is it that when Israel kills terrorists, global media has a habit of turning them into innocent figures who must be protected?

Thread ⬇️⬇️⬇️
On March 28, Israel @IDF struck a car carrying Hezbollah terrorists. Since then global media has ran a campaign to paint those inside as innocent journalists.

They said Israel did not give them any evidence. But for some reason none of them bothered to look for any themselves.
I am not even focusing on the main target - Ali Shoeib. I found this on the Facebook page of Mohammed Ftouni. He is on the right: Image

This weekend, at their spring conference, UK Green Party members will debate a motion titled simply: “Zionism is Racism.”

Rather than rebut every distortion, I’ve focused on the core pillars of Motion A105. 1/9
Motion A105 rewrites Jewish identity and history to deny Jews the basic right to self-determination.

At the same time, it undermines the very anti-racist safeguards designed to protect Jewish communities in the Diaspora. 2/9
Calling Zionism racist is as absurd as calling a women’s refuge “sexist” - both evolved as a means of protection, not domination.

Zionism is not about distant supporters. It is about the national existence of the people who live it. 3/9

Two hospital explosions. Two @BBCNews narratives.

One dominated headlines for days.
The other disappeared within hours.

This is evidence of anti-Israel bias.
But it’s also something more.

Thread ⬇️⬇️⬇️
We all know the story. 17 Oct 2023 - Gaza.

Explosion at Al-Ahli hospital.
Within minutes:

“Israeli airstrike” “Hundreds killed”

The BBC led with it - and stayed with it. Image
But last week - a similar breaking story.
Explosion at a hospital in Kabul.
Reports of hundreds dead in an Pakistani air strike.

This time?
The BBC was far more muted. Playing it down.
Compare the BBC headline with the way other newsrooms reported it. Image

The BBC recently apologised after turning the Holocaust into one of many “holocausts.”

This thread examines another case of Jewish history being rewritten by @bbcnews.
⬇️⬇️⬇️
The BBC published a podcast about Jewish life in Morocco. Centuries of persecution were reframed as harmony. Conditions approaching slavery were recast as a “model” of Muslim-Jewish coexistence. This is a classic anti-Zionist fiction. Image
I’ve been there, following my wife’s Moroccan heritage. No one can see the erased communities, hidden cemeteries, unmarked buildings and armed protection of Jewish sites and honestly call this a model of coexistence. This is Pravda-level propaganda.

And here we go again.
@bbcnews has just promoted a boycott-Israel campaign.

It inflated a non-event into an article, and then misled readers by whitewashing the activists involved.

Thread ⬇️⬇️⬇️
First, BBC News chose to run a pro-BDS article.

It then cited the Scottish Palestine Solidarity Campaign without telling readers that SPSC’s leader was convicted of anti-Jewish racism just weeks ago.

This omission is inexcusable. Image
The article goes on to conceal the anti-Israel bias of the United Nations Human Rights Council and withholds key information about the political activism of the other NGO it relies on. Every single player involved is whitewashed.

Readers were materially misinformed. Image
