If you read the books on this list, in the order shown, you will have been said to have achieved the
Life Strategy Degree
Here are the books in the order that you will want to read them and I’ll tell you why 🧵
@ScottAdamsSays
The first two are by Robert Cialdini, Influence and Pre-suasion, and they teach you about how easily brains can be influenced to make decisions that are not based on logic.
Once you understand that, you really understand a lot about the world.
THREAD: @ScottAdamsSays reveals some ways that he was able to hack his brain to deal with ADHD
"I basically have a brain hack for every part of the ADHD that bothers me... It doesn't mean they'll work for you, but what it does mean is you might be able to also come up with your own brain hacks."
🧵
1. When leaving the house, in the summer, Scott uses the number 5 as a mnemonic device, and when we walks toward his exit, he thinks "Five."
Each number represents an item: phone, key fob, hat, sunscreen, and headphones. He also keeps these items by his door to minimize trips. In winter, adjust the number because not all items are needed.
The trick is to repeat this process until it becomes second nature, leveraging the power of repetition to ensure nothing is forgotten.
2. To minimize distractions, Scott works early in the morning in as dark and quiet as an environment as possible.
He delegates less engaging tasks, such as writing checks, to others.
