🧵 Who organized and funded the pro-Maduro demonstrations?
I was up when the news broke that U.S. forces had possibly had a military strike on Caracas. Immediately, I knew where to look next, not for confirmation from the Pentagon, but for signals.
🔗 READ my 1st story for @FoxNews in my new role as senior editor of investigations to understand the full narrative of how the street protests were organized within 12 hours, before Nicolás Maduro was even on U.S. soil: foxnews.com/politics/secon…
📽️ WATCH the video here to hear the protest organizers in their own words as they chronicle how they mobilized foot soldiers for the new "class war" they say they are fighting against "American imperialism." They admit they got an unexpected ally: Democratic Party activists in 50501, a group launched last year to organize #TeslaTakedown protests against Elon Musk and #HandsOff protests against Trump.
What I discovered:
As U.S. forces captured Maduro, a parallel operation began almost instantly inside the United States:a rapid, coordinated information and street-mobilization campaign by a network of self-described socialist, Marxist, and communist organizations, most of which operate as nonprofits that DO NOT have to pay taxes.
I'll lay out how I followed the breadcrumbs in this special X Reporter's Notebook...
For three years since Oct. 7, I’d been seeing the same thing at protest after protest: Venezuelan flags showing up at anti-Israel rallies. Not randomly. Not organically.
Always alongside the same slogans, the same organizers, the same faces. That’s when I knew this wasn’t about Gaza, or Venezuela, or “peace.”
🔻 When activists protested Benjamin Netanyahu and burnt the American flag and painted an upside red triangle using the symbol Hamas uses for targets, writing HAMAS IS COMIN, I went to their bus pickup spots to follow the money. I saw protestors climbing into busses. That's when I saw their t-shirts: they were all proudly wearing red t-shirts for the Party for Socialism and Liberation @pslnational. The group had rented the busses.
Then I went to the address for the @answercoalition that had gotten the protest permit. It was in Adam's Morgan on Florida Avenue NW not far from where I had lived as a 20-something in DC.
Outside there were two flags flapping in the wind. Whose flags are they, I asked the woman who answered the door.
"Cuba and Venezuela."
That's when I knew. This wasn't about peace or anti-war.
It was about ideology.
Stoking discord was a part of that ideology as a tactic called agitation propaganda, or agitprop.
Their goal was to overthrowthe "American empire" and install some version of a Marxist, communist or socialist system. Talk about regime change.
And I learned something else: they had very close ties to Iran, Russia and China, with its leaders taking regular trips to those countries. They wanted communism or socialism in South Korea, the Philippines, Puerto Rico....America.
I saw them again in Chicago, protesting the @DNC. We had cells of proud communists, socialists and Marxists in America and they were appropriating the latest cause of the day to press their cause to dismantle "American imperialism."
They were self-declared, self-professed and proud of their ideological beliefs but the media usually glossed over them to describe them generically as "demonstrators."
So when we learned that there was an air strike on Caracas, I watched the clock -- and waited for the signals.
⏱️ 1:35 AM — As U.S. special operations reportedly land in Venezuela, @BTNews, a socialist propaganda arm of the ANSWER Coalition, posts early video and frames the mission as an “illegal bombing of Caracas.” The narrative is set.
⏱️ 1:45 AM — Manolo De Los Santos @manolo_realengo of @PeoplesForumNYC echoes the “illegal bombing” line. Message discipline is established. The People's Forum had been funded by a tech tycoon named Neville Roy Singham, who lived in Shanghai and funded a global network of socialist causes.
⏱️ 2:29 AM — The ANSWER Coalition drops a red-siren graphic on X calling for protests in Times Square: “NO WAR ON VENEZUELA.” The shift from commentary to mobilization begins.
⏱️ 2:34–2:43 AM — The People’s Forum and the Party for Socialism and Liberation amplify the call. Same poster. Same language. Same timing.
⏱️ 3:21 AM — @VijayPrashad, director of Tricontinental: Institute for Social Research, a research institute funded by Singham that examines issues through the lens of "national liberation Marxism," weighs in with a tweet: “Down with U.S. imperialism.” The ideological framing goes global.
⏱️ 6:09 AM — @CodePink condemns the U.S. as “terrorist.” The group was cofounded by Singham's wife, Jodie Evans, a fixture in anti-American protests, along with cofounder @medeabenjamin. Professional CodePink protestor @OliviaDinucci frequently yells at Trump administration officials around town. The nonprofit ecosystem is now fully engaged.
⏱️ 7:49 AM — The International People’s Assembly @peoplesassembly, a global umbrella group for socialist and communist organizations that partners with Singham's Tricontinental institute, circulates an “EMERGENCY DAY OF ACTION,” urging resistance to U.S. “hegemony.” The command-and-control layer activates.
This wasn’t outrage catching fire.
This was a socialist, communist, Marxist transnational network executing information warfare with military precision.
By daylight, the narrative was locked.
By midday, the protests were live.
By afternoon, politicians like @RepRashida Talib, Rep. @AOC and @NYCMayor @ZohranKMamdani were repeating the same lines I’d seen first pushed in the dead of night.
I’d seen the signals broadcast for years. Thorough investigators like @DataRepublican and @thestustustudio have followed the breadcrumbs on this vast network seeking to dismantle the U.S. free enterprise system in the name of "anti-imperialism," and I encourage you to follow them to see well-documented information.
Friday night, they came in strong and precise, in a parallel military operation run by comrades in the cause to destroy America as we know it.
This wasn’t just about Venezuela. It was about a global war -- an information war running parallel to a kinetic one -- and what I learned next was that it had been years in the making. 🧵⬇️
🧵 TICK-TOCK: The pro-Maduro support wasn't born overnight. Here’s the paper trail between these U.S. organizers and Maduro’s Venezuela. Thank you to all of the researchers who helped me connect the dots.
🗓️ 2003 — Hugo Chávez and Fidel Castro back the Francisco de Miranda Front, a socialist organization that became a part of the global International People’s Assembly @peoplesassembly, creating the backbone of an international “solidarity” apparatus designed to defend the socialist "Bolivarian" project abroad and forge alliances with U.S. groups.
🗓️ 2013 — Nicolás Maduro takes power. The solidarity infrastructure is already in place.
🗓️ 2019 — As Maduro faces international pressure, The People's Forum Manolo De Los Santos organizes a pro-Maduro protest outside Venezuela’s consulate in New York City, physically blocking opposition figures from entering.
🗓️ 2019 — Party for Socialism and Liberation leader Claudia De la Cruz travels to Caracas for an International People’s Assembly conference, urging socialists worldwide to “collectivize” the anti-imperialist fight and promotes the message with #HandsOffVenezuela.
🗓️ 2019 — The People’s Forum hosts Venezuelan Foreign Minister Jorge Arreaza in New York City. He demands an end to U.S. sanctions. He urges the audience to protest U.S. actions with the help of The People's Forum.
🗓️ 2019 — After a failed coup attempt, De Los Santos appears on Venezuelan state TV , boasting of organizing U.S. religious leaders to “battle ideas” against U.S. “imperialist aggression.”
🗓️ 2021 — The Singham network's Vijay Prashad and De Los Santos pose with Maduro on election day. Public endorsement. They all pose with thumbs up for “Sovereignty against imperialism.”
🗓️ 2021 — De Los Santos speaks at a Caracas conference livestreamed on Maduro’s own account, holding a manifesto titled “Plan to Save Humanity.”
🗓️ 2022 — De Los Santos returns to Caracas for the International Anti-Fascist Summit, reinforcing operational coordination with these global organizations.
🗓️ 2023-2024 — The same network repeatedly mobilizes “Hands Off Venezuela” protests in the U.S., while Venezuelan flags increasingly appear at unrelated causes, from anti-police protests to anti-Israel rallies.
🗓️ April 2024 — Maduro publicly recognizes De Los Santos at a Bolivarian Alliance conference.
🗓️ Fall 2025 — These same players lead coordinated U.S. protests again erupt in support of Maduro.
🗓️ Jan. 3, 2026 — U.S. military forces capture Maduro. Within minutes, the same network activates with graphics, slogans, protests, like a switch flipped on.
This wasn’t solidarity.
It was a long-running relationship, tested, rehearsed, and ready.
A socialist–communist–Marxist cell in the U.S. mobilized foot soldiers in 12 hours to foment a "class war." What unfolded isn’t spontaneous dissent. It's transnational information warfare. It's a deployment. Expect more of it. The comrades have just begun. foxnews.com/politics/secon…

EXCLUSIVE 🧵Inside the Mamdani Machine
How did a 34-year-old political novice climb to the edge of running America’s biggest city?
For days, I've buried myself in 990s, social media posts and insider reports to investigate for @FoxNews how Mamdani's rise was engineered, funded by a ethno-religious network funded in part by @GeorgeSoros @FordFoundation @macfound and propelled by socialists, radical imams and political operatives, including Palestinian American Linda Sarsour, accused for years of deeply-held anti-semitism.
I've been following these organizations and activists for 23 years, and their orchestrated coordination is not an accident. It's politically engineered.
🔗And here is our public @DPearlProject database of the 110 organizations in the Mamdani Machine, following the money: docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d…
@DataRepublican @SamAntar: some of the groups get city funding. That will likely increase as a flow of money to these groups if Mamdani wins.
In my book #WokeArmy, I wrote about the alliance of socialists (red) with Muslims (green) and now we can see in the Mamdani Machine how they are entrenched with the Democratic Party (blue).
110 Organizations in the Mamdani Machine
This graphic of the 110 organizations in the Mamdani Machine is messy and busy and breaks every rule of design but I hope it will get the point across to you about the Mamdani Machine:
🔴 4 Socialist and socialist-aligned groups including @DemSocialists
🟢 30 Muslim and South Asian groups including the @CAIRNational @ICNA @EmgageUSA @EmgageAction @MAS_National Linda Sarsour's @MPower_Change, the imam, Siraj Wahhaj, who served as a character witness for the "Blind Sheikh" convicted in the first World Trade Center attack in 1993.
🔵 76 Democratic and Dem-aligned groups including 21 affialiates of the @DNC, 22 unions including @AFLCIO unions and 33 Dem-aligned groups, including @MoveOn @thenation and @sunrisemvmt
🧵I'll walk you through the timeline for the development of the Mamdani Machine.
@FoxNews 1⃣ In 2012, as a student at Bowdoin College in Maine, @ZohranKMamdani cofounded a chapter of Students for Justice in Palestine @NationalSJP, the campus organization founded by @HatemBazian and known for its rabid anti-Israel activism. foxnews.com/politics/insid…
@FoxNews @ZohranKMamdani @NationalSJP @HatemBazian 2⃣ In 2017, Zohran Mamdani canvassed with Linda Sarsour for @DemSocialists city council candidate Khader El-Yateem, aligned with him in their rabid anti-Israel work. Sarsour (2nd from left) and Mamdani (5th from left) bonded as Sarsour's star was falling for antisemitism.
🚨 At @FairfaxTimes, I’ve learned @FCPSNews @FCPSSupt Michelle Reid quietly closed an investigation into a boy “who has facial hair” who watched girls undress in the West Springfield High School locker room — concluding it’s OK because he identifies as female. 🧵what went down…
2/ Full @DFIPolicy complaint in 🧵
Sept. 2, freshman girl, 14, walked into the girls’ locker room at West Springfield High and saw “a male student” with “facial hair” and pants “so tight they clearly outlined his genitalia.” He was watching girls in “various stages of undress.”
@DFIPolicy @data_republican 3/ Upset, the girl told a teacher who said “there was nothing” she could do.
The girl called her mom.
School officials told the mom the boy “has a right to use the girls’ locker room because he identifies as female.”
(Not numbers data here @DataRepublican but human data.)
@CrackerBarrel CEO Julie Felss Masino and her board ignored warnings last year from investor Sardar Biglari that her "strategic transformation plan" and rebrand was "obvious folly."

Cracker Barrel investor Sardar Biglari and board critic fires off a letter to shareholders, saying:
🧨"Strategic transformation plan" is "obvious folly"
🧨 "Cracker Barrel is not a broken brand but it has a broken board"
🧵 You won’t believe the Democratic org behind the racist sign a woman held up to challenge Lt. Gov @WinsomeSears, who is black. The sign: “HEY WINSOME, IF TRANS CAN'T SHARE YOUR BATHROOM THEN BLACKS CAN'T SHARE MY WATER FOUNTAIN.”
2) Read Poster Lady’s affiliation on her shirt in video posted by @Jaaavis.
@NoVA_Campaigns recognized
@arlingtondems Chair Steve Baker, as he whispered to Poster Lady: “That’s getting a lot of play on TV right now…Negative.”
What’s her shirt say?
@Jaaavis @NoVA_Campaigns @arlingtondems 3) See her tee?
It says: WOFA in red and yellow.
What is WOFA?
It self-describes:
“We of Action Virginia | An Indivisible group.”
Who is Indivisible? @DataRepublican knows.
It’s the multimillion-dollar Dem machine behind ALL the anti-Trump, anti-Elon, anti-Tesla protests.
🚨 How did a Socialist Muslim, Zohran Mamdani, who wants to globalize the intifada become the Democratic nominee for NYC Mayor? This is the story of a 20-year political campaign — funded by the House of Soros — where Socialism🔴Political Islam🟢and the Democratic Party🫏🔵merged.

2️⃣ It started at 9:28 p.m. on Dec. 12, 2008. Soros exec Ann Beeson emailed former Clinton advisor John Podesta. She attached a memo from Muslim Advocates and the Brennan Center — Soros grantees — urging the Obama team to shift U.S. security policy in favor of Muslim activists.📩
@ConceptualJames @BillAckman @data_republican @FoxNews @foxandfriends @FoxNewsOpinion 3️⃣ This was no accident. It was a decades-long plan.
While Soros' Open Society claimed to promote “human rights,” it quietly built a pipeline for red-green operatives to wear blue. At @DPearlProject, we followed the receipts: millions in grants. foxnews.com/opinion/asra-n…
EXCLUSIVE. Who is funding the anti-Trump #NoKings protests? It's 198 companies with $2.1 billion in revenues.
WATCH and READ to learn.
I wanted to hear it straight from the source—so on Tuesday, I tuned into a live town hall with @AFTunion’s @RWeingarten, @TheRevAl Sharpton from @NationalAction, and @LeahGreenbergB of @IndivisibleTeam.
They proudly laid out the nationwide anti-Trump protests they’ve planned for this Saturday, June 14, under the banner #NoKings.
I recorded the town hall—and I’m sharing the video with you here.
They admit they’re organizing these protests. And they’re not grassroots players. These are top-tier Democratic Party operatives, with enormous influence and funding.
But when I started following the money behind the full list of protest "partners," I realized that these three are just the tip of the iceberg.
According to research by the Pearl Project—a nonprofit journalism initiative I lead, named in honor of Wall Street Journal reporter Daniel Pearl—the 198 organizations that say they are organizers of the #NoKings protests are not just grassroots citizens. They're all aligned with the Democratic Party, and many claim to be “nonpartisan” despite acting as political operatives.
Together, these groups report more than $2.1 BILLION in total annual revenue.
(Enjoy, @DataRepublican, and share with me any recommendations to make this better!)
Why follow the money? Because from Los Angeles to D.C., we’ve seen these protests escalate into violence—and we must understand who’s behind them to understand why.
These aren’t mom-and-pop protestors. This is an elite class of political influencers using nonprofit structures to operate like a shadow government. Just look at their annual salaries:
🔹Randi Weingarten: $474,951
🔹Al Sharpton: $648,786
🔹ACLU’s Anthony Romero: $1.3 million
Fairfax County citizen Lissa Kenkel @NOVAHopeSo, who helped me cull the financial data, puts it well:
“The very people bankrolling and leading these so-called grassroots movements are the crowned royalty of the nonprofit world, sitting in their air-conditioned offices, collecting six-figure salaries, while encouraging the common folk to torch their own cities in the name of ‘saving democracy.’"
"It’s manufactured chaos, sold as revolution, by people who wouldn’t last five minutes in the rubble they’re creating.”
Here’s the #NoKings protest funding breakdown, and I'll list all the groups in a thread:
🔹 3 official entities of the Democratic National Committee: College Democrats of America, Manhattan Young Democrats and Westside Democratic Headquarters in Norwalk, Calif.
🔹 16 Democratic political action committees, or PACs, including Friends of Bernie Sanders, Progressive Democrats of America and Vote Blue — with about $19.4 million in spending power for Democratic political candidates.
🔹 18 Democratic-aligned 501(c)(5) labor unions, including lead organizer, the American Federation of Teachers, along with the United Auto Workers, the Communications Workers of America and the National Treasury Employees Union, with a total of $1.1 billion in revenues, most of their political contributions going to Democratic candidates.
🔹 76 Democratic-aligned 501(c)(4) political nonprofits, including the ACLU, Sierra Club, League of Conservation Voters, Working Families Organization Inc., Human Rights Campaign, Planned Parenthood Action Fund and lead organizer Indivisible Project, all with another $734.3 million in revenues.
🔹47 501(c)(3) nonprofits, legally restricted from partisan advocacy, including innocuous-sounding groups like the Unitarian Universalist Association, Accountable US and the American Humanist Association, with $286.7 million to the cause.
🔹38 additional Democratic-aligned groups, including Michigan Resistance Coalition, Families Over Billionaires, 50501, Tax the Greedy Billionaire and Mennonite Action, with undisclosed financials.
TOTAL: 198 groups with $2.1 billion in annual revenue behind #NoKings
But this isn’t just about June 14.
Many of the same groups also organized earlier protests like #TeslaTakedown, #HandsOff, and #MayDay. In those protests, we identified 267 more organizations with a combined $1.3 billion in annual revenue.
That brings the total to:
🔹 475 organizations
🔹 $3.4 billion in annual budgets
🔹 All aligned against Trump’s movement
And we’re not done. My database includes another 1,500+ organizations—many involved in anti-Israel protests, anti-ICE demonstrations, and other coordinated mass mobilizations. Stay tuned for those results.
This is not a grassroots movement. It’s a billion-dollar machine dressed in protest gear.

Thank you for your support!
BREAKING. At the @DPearlProject, we identified 198 organizations that are funding and supporting the #NoKings anti-Trump protests tomorrow. Make that 197 groups now.
National Treasury Employees Union @NTEUnews President Doreen Greenwald just issued a statement (full statement below) saying that #NoKings organizers "incorrectly" listed the union as a partner of its protests planned for tomorrow, and it is NOT a "partner, co-organizer, or sponsor of the No Kings event."
The use of the logo was "unauthorized and done without our consent."
She says: "Upon discovering this, we immediately contacted the event organizers and demanded the removal of our name and logo."
She insists: "no union dues or funds were contributed to support or sponsor this event in any way."
The organizers include @IndivisibleTeam @Leahgreenb @AFTunion @RWeingarten @NationalAction @TheRevAl.
The National Treasury Employees Union may be correcting the record about the June 14, 2025, #NoKings protests, but the National Treasury Employees Union is in our Pearl Project database for being a sponsor of the April 5, 2025, #HandsOff protests, also organized by @IndivisibleTeam, and May 5, 2025, anti-Trump protests. I'll ask them if they were correctly described a sponsors of those protests. Stay tuned.
cc: @DataRepublican -- I think these groups with nonprofit status know their partisan work really belies the spirit of tax laws, if not the letter of the law. Also it's important to note that the union pointed out that no "union dues or funds" were used to fund these anti-Trump protests. But, as I note, Indivisible listed the union as a partner in the #HandsOff protests. For so many years, "nonprofit" groups have gone unchecked as they act as partisan political actors, while enjoying and exploiting their nonprofit status.

"The National Treasury Employees Union (NTEU) is not a partner, co-organizer, or sponsor of the No Kings event. The use of the NTEU logo in connection with this event was unauthorized and done without our consent. Furthermore, no union dues or funds were contributed to support or sponsor this event in any way."

"We take the misuse of our name and logo seriously and are committed to ensuring that NTEU’s identity is not misrepresented."
Friends! Thank you for your notes of appreciation for my new @FoxNews @FoxNewsOpinion column. I now have ready a text list of the (now) 197 #NoKings "partners" but guess what? I found key organizers not on the official roll. Stay tuned. 197 in🧵Buckle up! foxnews.com/opinion/asra-n…
