A few months ago, I dug into Cea Weaver's Twitter history because she was Mamdani's housing advisor.

I had a hunch she might get a position on his team.

Well, she did, and she deleted her X account, accordingly.

However, I took some screenshots. Let's dig in. Image
For context, this woman was just selected by Mayor Mamdani to be the Director of the newly revitalized Mayor’s Office to Protect Tenants.

According to NYC.gov - "The revitalized Office to Protect Tenants will serve as a central coordinating body to defend tenants’ rights, stand up to landlords, and ensure city agencies act swiftly on behalf of renters facing unsafe or illegal conditions."

Source: nyc.gov/mayors-office/…Image
Okay - so what are her beliefs?

1. "Public housing for everyone."

2. "Rent control and public housing for everyone"

3. "Massive government interventions to solve gentrification" Image
Image
What else?

She believes:

"rent control is a perfect solution to everything"

and

rent control is "a more effective way to shrink the value of real estate than reducing rezoning applications" Image
Image
Just in case you missed that -

Yes, she wants to SHRINK THE VALUE OF REAL ESTATE Image
Next up - views on white people:

"this country built wealth for white people through genocide, slavery, stolen land & labor"

"white supremacy built the north and the south" Image
"Private property is a weapon of white supremacy"

"Gentrification is... part of a centuries long process of white supremacy" Image
Image
"The 'rules' are designed for white people"

"new/white residents are gonna benefit as the whole city is planned around their interests." Image
Image
"endorse a no more white men in office platform"

"improverish the *white* middle class

"homeownership is racist" Image
Image
Warning - this one is creepy:

"I wish I believed in god so I could believe that all men who take credit for women's work and all white men who take credit for the work of women of color would one day burn" Image
Apparently, she even wants white people to stop reproducing, and be banned from planes...

"came across a mob of 11 year old white boy children... i dunno why we keep procreating."

"Delta shd kick all white people in Xmas outfits off planes" Image
Image
In addition to disliking (hating?) white people - she is a passionate Socialist...!

"we can and should raise expectations that we all live in green, beautiful, public housing"

"not convinced that stopping development... builds our movement or advances socialism like rent control does"Image
Image
Cea Weaver and her boss, Mayor Mamdani, apparently see eye to eye on many things...

Apparently, they both want to "move away from a situation where most people access housing by purchasing it and towards a situation where the state guarantees high-quality housing to all." Image
Questions top of mind:

1) Does she work effectively with white people, despite her views about them?

2) Does she see homeownership as having any validity in building wealth?

3) Does she really hope we all live in gov housing?

4) Thoughts on the constitution?
"Will it grow our power?"

The mask is off on this one... Image

I hung out in Brooklyn yesterday and had a realization.

Most of the Mamdani supporters will leave NYC without facing the consequences.

They are young renters who will get married and move to the burbs.

Working-class New Yorkers will absorb the fallout.
Almost everybody I meet in Brooklyn is from a middle-class family somewhere else.

Connecticut, Long Island, New Jersey, the Midwest -- they come to Brooklyn to live out their New York fantasy, date, drink matcha, etc.

They aren't "New Yorkers."
They don't care about the future of NYC.

They do not care much about politics in general.

Most don't read the news, from what I can tell.

Very few have studied history (e.g., socialism)

NYC is already a Socialist city.

That's why Mamdani is slated to win.

~40% of the city's residents live in a rent-stabilized apartment.

600,000 people work for the city, and another 600k for non-profits (most city funded).

These ppl rely on the gov to live here.Image
Nearly half of New Yorkers rely on the Gov to set their rent.

Over 20% of New Yorkers work for the gov or a gov-funded non-profit.

As Tablet put it so well, there are hundreds of thousands of little Zohran Mamdanis driving this election.

NYC's median rent is $1600.

Millions of New Yorkers are trapped in rent-stabilized apartments.

Incoming New Yorkers subsidize their rents.

Limited market rate rentals --> increased prices

That's why it's so expensive to live here.

The biggest risk of a Mamdani mayorship?

Mass exodus from the NYPD.

This occurred in SF under the radical left DA, Chesa Boudin.

When police aren't supported, they quit, retire early, or never join in the first place.

Here's what Mamdani has said about the NYPD. 🧵 Image
Mamdani’s view of the police appears to be that they are evil.

He calls them racist, anti-queer, and violent (“a major threat to public safety”), often framing officers as oppressors rather than public servants. Image
He accuses them of illegal actions, like “kidnapping.”

Instead of using the legal terms, like “arrest,” he accuses them of violent, illegal activity.

This language is dehumanizing. Image

31% of NYC is white.

Mayoral candidate Zohran Mamdani has repeatedly expressed hostile views toward white people.

In a city this diverse, leadership should bridge divides, not inflame them.

Here’s a thread of his own words. 🧵 Image
He writes often about the "rich, white establishment" and "old white men" Image
Image
Despite his mother being a Hollywood insider, he believes the industry is dominated by "the whiteness of personal networks." Image

Last night I was stood up for the first time.

No apology -- no explanation.

It got me thinking: maybe the loneliness epidemic isn't about screen time, but rather the slow erosion of basic social norms.

Showing up on time, responding to texts, treating others with dignity...
I must say, I was rather shocked by what happened.

This guy had been messaging me for weeks.

"Give me a chance!" he had asked, when I shared my concern that he was too young for me.

He asked for my Saturday night. I said yes.
There is a concept in Judaism called "Lifnei Iver" - it refers to a section of Leviticus that says,

"You shall not revile the deaf or put a stumbling block before the blind"
