The outcome of the Battle for Minneapolis may be a turning point not just in US history, but also world history.

The State of MN is currently a lawless state, in defiance of federal laws & forces. Having been caught in massive frauds, the state is now in open insurrection.
1/
Most importantly, the Twin Cities are small & isolated. Just two counties in the midst of the vast, Red Heartland, that includes the rest of MN.

If the full force of the federal govt can't bring Minneapolis to heel and enforce the law, this nation is over.
2/
If the battle cannot be won there, then states like California, New York and Illinois can never be controlled. They will all do as they please - and the elected national government will be able to do nothing about it. That's it for the Republic, elections in the rest
3/
of the country will have been effectively cancelled by the Left.

If that happens - the fall of the US from world power will be swift indeed. A deindustrialized nation that is also split into factions can't compete in a world of new geopolitical blocs.
4/
At this point - the Battle for Minneapolis is a draw. And a draw means that the Left wins.

Yes, the US is concentrating forces from around the nation. But the night - and sometimes the day - belongs to Leftist mobs, who can grab & beat people of the RW, with no fear of
5/
arrest or repercussions. The Attorney General can't even get someone who committed a federal crime on camera arrested, because the federal judiciary is in rebellion. There are no arrests of the insurrectionist politicians who enabled the massive frauds,
6/
just a grand jury being convened. Where exactly will that jury be convened and who will be on it? If there are any MN Leftists on it, they will do everything possible to impede it, as they would for a later criminal trial. The courts are lost in MN.
7/
If the rebels can't be dislodged - and it isn't happening so far - then the rebels have won. As the open rebellion spreads to much larger & more important places.

Lose Minneapolis, and lose the world. The stakes couldn't be higher. The strategy must change.

The lead WSJ article (link later) is about the devastating damage that was inflicted on the US Navy base & Fifth Fleet headquarters in Bahrain by Iranian drones & missiles.

This clearly demonstrates that the US global basing strategies of the last 80 years are now obsolete.
1/
The US strategy has been to put up above ground buildings for headquarters, command & control, barracks, warehouses & so forth, and then plan on defending them with air assets & anti-aircraft.

The Bahrain base was only about 150 miles from Iran, and for almost 5 months,
2/
swarms of Iranian drones & missiles were launched at it. Based on satellite photos - the Iranians overwhelmed the defenses over time. The Fifth Fleet headquarters, satellite communications, command & control, barracks, multiple warehouses, everything wiped out.

Curtis the Monarchist is correct, Congress is the ultimate power. They have not just the power of purse but the power to remove Presidents & judges at any time.

A Red 2/3 Senate & bare majority House could remove every federal judge - this was the intent of the Constitution.
1/
In the original Constitution, judges did not have the authority to overrule Presidents or Congress, that was invented out of thin air in Marbury v Madison.

The way it was supposed to work (pre-17th Amendment), was that a 2/3 majority of the states could remove any federal
2/
the officer at any time. The people (the House) impeach, the States (the Senate) convict, and the power of the federal government, the President, all judges, can be broken to the will of the States.

In a way, this is still arguably the best way to save this country.

Very well written, please read. This is another aspect of the intersection between increasing complexity & decreasing competence. Reusable rocket science, how semiconductors work, the probabilistic inference underlying AI, how your fingers or voice control your phone,
1/
how GPS works, international economics, they've all reached the point where even a white or asian person of average intelligence can not longer understand. It takes someone 1+ SD above average, and many years of specialized study to understand what is happening in one field.
2/
We also have a growing flood of non-whites with IQs well below average for who these things are all magic - they have zero idea how work, but also increasingly have zero respect for the magicians.

AI is in the process of much things much worse as it literally makes the average

There are multiple lessons from the two wars for the future of warfare, and the combatants are not at all the same. First & foremost, the Ukraine War is a proxy war with outside supplies. Ukraine wouldn't have lasted a year without extraordinary support from Europe & the US.
1/
The US & European economies are more than 20X the size of the Russian economy. NATO had spent years building & training the largest army in Europe (other than Russia) for the purpose of beating Russia. The US provided wonder weapons, the best communications seen in warfare,
2/
and targeting information. Most important of all, Ukraine can't build drones by itself, duh. It uses Chinese electronics to build drones, without which it would have lost long ago.

The two lessons there are hard power vs soft power, and the dangers of outsourcing technology.

Historically, the Ivies were more about social class than meritocracy. Young men went to Harvard & Yale to earn "gentleman's Cs" while drinking & joining organizations with their fellow future bankers, judges, politicians and so forth. The mid to late 20th century
1/
were more of an anomaly, as the Ivies tried to become the elites for the entire nation. That meant: 1) stressing intellectual merit, and 2) recruiting from the whole nation. Standardized testing was used to try to cherry pick the smartest students from the nation.
2/
Schools adopted policies of admitting students from all 50 states every fall. At the same time, however, the elites maintained their legacy admissions for their own children. For a while, this worked better than ever, as the rich kids could now claim to be the smartest kids

Some of the worst misconceptions about flyover country come from ignorant urbanites who are quite literally flying over our states

I've read a number of these. They are surprised by the sheer vastness of the Heartland. When they look down they think they see unowned emptiness
1/
occupied by nothing and nobody. Then they do two interesting mental tricks. Because the interior of America looks empty to them, they somehow decide that it is their property to do what they wish with, that whatever ideas they have should govern.
2/
The next trick is highly encouraged, and if they think about the people at all - they believe them to be social & mental inferiors. Just the hicks & yokels from the middle of bumblefuck nowhere. Really, too unimportant to have a say.
