When have any of you who insist that Chomsky, Parenti and others are “not above criticism” actually criticised them?

Whether scholars or governments, if the answer to “do they hate America?” is yes, you’ll suddenly forgive paedophilia, misogyny, genocide denialism and racism.
Noam Chomsky has never been imprisoned, never been convicted, never arrested for violence, he spent nearly 60 years at MIT, a mainstream & prestigious institution with tenure, regularly published and interviewed by NYT, The Guardian, NPR, BBC & appeared on msm for decades.
He holds countless multiple honorary doctorates from elite universities worldwide, not fringe recognitions. He holds institutional endorsements. He has enjoyed exceptional insulation from consequences. He has retained his academic job, elite status, funding, publishing access &
his audience. Nothing that man has ever said or done, including the couple of arrests for a couple of protests in which he was immediately released, has derailed his career.
Chomsky was a radical critic, at best, operating from within elite institutions, with sustained protection, legitimacy, and access. He was controlled opposition at worst. Nothing he has ever said is worth excusing his collusion and excusing of pedophilia (or his genocide denial)
The same people who fawn over Chomsky are the same who say that I am paid by NATO/US/UK/Bosnia/Muslim Brotherhood/Hezbollah/Kosovo/Hamas for daring to do an interview with CNN or The Guardian

I, however, have lost both jobs and opportunities for daring to talk about genocide.
I…and many like me…do not get prestigious positions and protections from the elite society. We get dragged, instead, by all sides for daring to use any platform offered to us to talk about genocides nobody wishes to talk about: Bosnian, Palestinian, Rohingya, Sudan.
Chomsky was a genocide denialist who has yet to ever say he has been wrong about anything, let alone the genocides he consistently denies despite him being so far out of his depth on genocide and having 0 scholarship on genocide and its process.
But fine, we are all used to your denialisms of genocide.

Who cares about the victims of genocides? You guys don’t care about women certainly but not children either! Chomsky & Epstein were friends AFTER Epstein got his first charge of being guilty of sex with a minor.
Chomsky called it #MeTooHysteria. Chomsky excused Epstein being a registered sex offender and having a charge of solicitation of prostitution from a “person under the age of 18” a.k.a a CHILD.

Where are your morals and values?
All it takes for you is a person or a state being anti-American enough to absolve you of your American guilt.

It is truly pathetic.

The reason so many Zionists truly believe that Ms. Rachel being against the massacre of Palestinian children is “bad” is because they refuse to see Palestinians as human beings so their children are not children but simply targets to be rid of. It is a deeply embedded evil.
Because no matter your feelings on the genocide or “war”. No matter your feelings on the socio-political issues when it comes to Israel & Palestine any decent human being would consider that children being killed is objectively a bad thing. Zionists don’t think it is.
Nothing Ms. Rachel has said has been anti-semitic. It hasn’t even been anti-Zionist. It hasn’t even been anti-Israel. It has been the most pacifist take of all: “hey killing children is bad and I stand against that”. Somehow they’re losing their minds over it.

The rise of “whataboutism”, lack of media literacy, anti-intellectualism, toxic hyper-individualism which leads people to turn anything & everything about them, their experiences, and their feelings is driving me actually insane.

This is not a safe space for you people.
I don’t know when we strayed from the point of “understandable nuance” but it has destroyed how we communicate online. If you hold the critical ability to have a conversation, then you should know that there is already an understood nuance & it doesn’t need to be mentioned.
For ex…if I say something like “men are abusive” and you come in with a “not all men”…the conversation is already done. There is an understandable nuance in my statement that obviously not all men are abusive but 93% of the perpetrators of abuse ARE men.

You people are insane, honestly. Since when is it haram for women to work out or run?

Islam is not against “free-mixing”. Nowhere in the Quran is it mentioned. Women and men interacted together during the Prophet’s (s.a.w.s) time. That new-age, made-up misogyny doesn’t work…
During Prophet Muhammed’s time, women participated in trade, public discourse, , and communal events. Women attended mosque and engaged in it especially during festivals and special occasions.
Aisha (RA) taught both men and women. Male compansions of the Propher (s.a.w.s) would come to her home to learn from her. Public events like Eid prayers and community consultations included both men and women, though the interaction followed Islamic etiquette.

The East London Mosque is doing a Charity Run and has banned girls over the age of 12 and all women from participating.

I will never, ever get over the deeply ingrained misogyny within the Muslim community in the UK. It is everywhere and it is constant. It makes me miss home.
Don’t preach to me about how Islam is anti-woman, because I grew up in a place in which women were always treated equally to men in the mosques. I didn’t grow up going through side doors, women only doors, or ever being told I cannot attend anything due to the men needing space.
It is incredibly difficult to be a Muslim woman in the UK and it is even more difficult to raise a young Muslim teen girl in the UK. When I go home and I take Ajsa to any of the mosques in Bosnia, she is astonished by the fact we enter through the same door & have equal space.

Even though I’ve lived in the UK for 6 years now, I have not lost my “American friendliness” and I have noticed that b/c of my friendly and bubbly disposition…my clients genuinely view me as a friend instead of a professional that is there to assess their parenting.
I’ve dealt with some rather strange situations in the past few months and most of them have dealt with parents who have allegations of abuse. I’m there, trying to determine if they should get the kids back and they’re there thinking we are besties and I am on their team.
& as I am conferring with a colleague today about how to implement boundaries with a specific family who has truly spilled everything to me, she mentions how my “American friendliness” is probably the reason why they feel such a “kinship” no matter how professional I am. 🤷🏻‍♀️

I know, personally, a family whose business is trucking. They voted, proudly, for Trump. Most of their truckers are Bosnians who have either obtained legal citizenship OR are still on a legal permanent residency (green card). Anyway, ICE is kidnapping up truck drivers now.
They’re not just kidnapping undocumented truck drivers but all truck drivers that either look or sound foreign, whether or not they are documented or undocumented. Whether or not they are legal residents or citizens. They’re kidnapping them and impounding the truck.
ICE is not calling the family of the truck drivers, ICE is not calling the company to let them know that their driver has been picked up and the vehicle has been impounded. Instead, the company finds out alone through their tracking devices and loses out on 100K dollars.
