The BBC recently apologised after turning the Holocaust into one of many “holocausts.”
This thread examines another case of Jewish history being rewritten by @bbcnews.
⬇️⬇️⬇️
The BBC published a podcast about Jewish life in Morocco. Centuries of persecution were reframed as harmony. Conditions approaching slavery were recast as a “model” of Muslim-Jewish coexistence. This is a classic anti-Zionist fiction.
I’ve been there, following my wife’s Moroccan heritage. No one can see the erased communities, hidden cemeteries, unmarked buildings and armed protection of Jewish sites and honestly call this a model of coexistence. This is Pravda-level propaganda.
The podcast argues that Jews and Muslims lived in harmony, presenting Morocco as a “model” of coexistence - effectively blaming Israel for all the problems.
What follows is the real record.
We can begin 236 years ago, in 1790.
A British newspaper, citing accounts from Gibraltar, recorded that Jews “in every part of the Empire” were “most inhumanly plundered,” with many leading Jewish merchants “assassinated in a very barbarous manner.”
1809: a British consul described a society in which Jews were heavily taxed, socially degraded, and subject to legal restrictions and ritualised humiliation. He records that Jews in Morocco were treated “somewhat worse than dogs in Christian countries:”
1830s: Sol Hachuel was a young Jewish woman from Tangier. Accused of converting to Islam and renouncing it, she denied converting and refused demands to accept Islam. She was imprisoned and executed in Fez in 1834. Jews at the time were described as "political slaves".
1858: the Herald (Glasgow) published a “harrowing picture” of Jewish life in Morocco. The article states that Jews were regarded by Muslims as unclean animals, and enemies of god. It describes them as bearing the condition and appearance of slaves:
1864: a relief campaign was launched by Sir Moses Montefiore. A British newspaper stated that there could be “no doubt that the Jews of Morocco have been most barbarously treated by the masters of that land.” Montefiore received promises that Jews would be protected:
1868: It appears that the decree did little to alter conditions on the ground. The Times published correspondence from Tangier describing a religious fanatic in Tetuan who had assassinated several Jews and appeared to have devoted himself to their destruction:
1888: A report on the state of Morocco's Jews leaves no doubt about the Jews being “despised” and “subjected to every imaginable degradation”. The report states a local Muslim can “think no more of killing a Jew, if he can do it quietly, than of killing a rat”:
1894: A description of pogroms taking place at various sites that appear to be in the Atlas mountains around Marrakech:
1912: another pogrom. The sacking of the Jewish Quarter of Fez. 100 dead, 10,000 homeless and the entire Jewish Quarter in Fez had been destroyed:
1927: the “oppression, torture and humiliation” continued in the 1920s. Alongside this, there is no remedy in the courts and their savings stolen at any time:
1948: as the Arab armies tried to destroy the newly declared State of Israel, local Muslims in Morocco continued a well-worn pattern of murdering their Jewish neighbours. Initial reports on Pogroms in Oujda and Djerada tallied 42 Jews murdered.
1960s: The departure of Moroccan Jews was a consequence of hundreds of years of documented persecution. Once they had somewhere to go the end was inevitable. Morocco tried banning them from leaving, but eventually opened the gates. A coexistence that never was.
The BBC called this a "model" of coexistence. It inverts truth - transforming a record of subjugation into a story of harmony, and erasing Jewish suffering in the process.
That is not public service broadcasting. It is the rewriting of history. The BBC has to take it down.
The full story is here. Jewish life in Morocco was not a story of coexistence, but of survival under Islamic supremacy and subjugation. When Moroccan Jews finally had somewhere to go, they left. david-collier.com/the-bbc-rewrit…

And here we go again.
@bbcnews has just promoted a boycott-Israel campaign.
It inflated a non-event into an article, and then misled readers by whitewashing the activists involved.
Thread ⬇️⬇️⬇️
First, BBC News chose to run a pro-BDS article.
It then cited the Scottish Palestine Solidarity Campaign without telling readers that SPSC’s leader was convicted of anti-Jewish racism just weeks ago.
This omission is inexcusable.
The article goes on to conceal the anti-Israel bias of the United Nations Human Rights Council and withholds key information about the political activism of the other NGO it relies on. Every single player involved is whitewashed.
BBC Verify got caught doing something shameless. They published the same Gaza “investigation” twice and pushed it as fresh “verification”.
My latest - BBC Verify does Groundhog day.
Thread: ⬇️⬇️⬇️
Put the two articles side by side and it’s unavoidable. Once in October 25, then again January 2026. Same authors. Same framing. Same story. This isn’t verification @bbcnews. It’s anti-Israel recycling.
It goes from simply bad to embarrassing. The opening paragraphs follow the same sequence, almost line by line. This is the BBC’s flagship “Verify” unit.
And they’re doing student activist-level journalism
If you care about antisemitism, or are in a space fighting against it, you really need to read this.
Thread ⬇️⬇️⬇️
You may have seen the term "anti-Palestinian racism" (APR). If you are not paying attention, you should.
APR isn’t “anti-racism”. It’s a political weapon designed to neutralise antisemitism safeguards and bully institutions into activist ideology.
I traced its history. I found out where & why it was created, and my new report lays out exactly how it evolved.
What you need to know is this: APR relabels reality. Antisemitism protections are dropped. Zionism becomes racism. Disagree with fictional narratives? Racist!
Exclusive: A detailed investigation exposes how false claims on @Wikipedia fabricate history - then get laundered into activist and media campaigns used to smear elected officials and demand resignations
Thread ⬇️⬇️
In Sept 2025, 250 U.S. legislators visited Israel. At the end of a harrowing day touring Oct 7 massacre sites, they went to Ofakim - a southern town brutally attacked by Hamas terrorists. There, they planted 50 trees - one for each state: a simple act of respect and remembrance.
U.S. legislators visited a staunch ally emerging from a difficult conflict. Within hours, activists and media outlets launched false genocide claims - and a story spread accusing them of planting trees atop a depopulated Palestinian village.
There is a sustained Islamist-driven global disinformation campaign portraying Israel as hostile to Christianity.
Before repeating it, it is worth examining what is really happening to Christian communities across the Middle East.
Thread ⬇️⬇️
Let's begin in Syria. Christians in Syria used to make up about 10% of the population - today, half have been driven out. Ancient communities devastated by war and Islamism. Syria is now run by an Islamist with a Salafi-jihadist past - who promotes nation wide sharia law.
How about Iraq? In the 1950s they forced the Jews out, now it is the Christians' turn. Once home to about 1.5 million Christians, most have gone. Church bombings, ISIS genocide, intimidation, and emigration - Islamism shattered one of the world’s oldest Christian populations.
Exclusive: A new investigation tracking stolen IDF vehicles through Gaza on October 7, alongside newly uncovered footage, reveals that al-Shifa Hospital received far more Israeli hostages than previously acknowledged.
Thread: ⬇️⬇️⬇️
For 2 years, global media outlets denied that al-Shifa functioned as a Hamas hub.
